Now idk if this is in the right palce or not. Lyric told me to put it here and ask a mod if they can move it to the right place.

Anyways. I'm trying to recolor a skin and everytime I use paint bucket on an area it never comes out the color that it should. An example would be, theres a white area. White as in white the color not the human skin color. I tell paint bucket to paint the area brown but instead of it painting the area brown it paints it peach.

Anyone know whats going on?

Check at the top task bar. It should have "Mode:" then a drop down menu. Make sure the drop down menu is on 'Normal', and that "Opacity" is 100%
It could be another reason, but those are the most obvious ones I can think of.

did you try setting the layer setting to normal? look at the top of the 'layer' toolbar when selecting the layer youre painting. it might be set to blend or lighten or something

At the top, between the 'Image' and 'Select' menus. Then Layer Style > Blending Options. You can also double click the layer from the little menu on the side and use Blending Options> Blend Mode. Make sure it's on Normal.

If I put the paint bucket on normal (toolbar at the top) makes the stomache a solid brown, but if I set it to color it makes the stomache a peach. Pics below for what I mean.

What do you want it to do exactly? Colour it brown? Ack, I'm a little confused :D

Idk if you can see this, but its brown but yet still shows abs and detail.

Ah, so you want it to be brown but still show the skin details? Maybe mess around with the layer blending options, especially darken, multiply and colour burn.

Btw the above color was done by hue/saturation. If you wanna know why I don't use that its because it would take me forever to color and entire skin tone set by using hue/sat.

You know how in the first screenie you have the layer blending on 'colour' so it's that peach colour? Try changing it to 'darken', or 'multiply'. Luckily you can change it back if I've explained it really badly (I haven't found my calling as a teacher, that's for sure) XD

I think its fixed. Multiply seems to work. Kittie would you mind if I added you to by buddy list for MSN messenger? I might have more quesions later and would like to ask you before I come here.
