Strangeness in StrangeVille

Ok so... before I got Nightlife I had an issue where the entire neighborhood of StrangeVille dissapeared, not a big issue... Yesterday I got nightlife, backed up all my stuff then went through and un-installed the original and uni. I removed all my hacks and enabled custom content. StrangeVille was back!!! All the maxis families had started over. I created a family, played them and then today when I went back into StrangeVille... everyone was gone... including all the maxis made sims, the house I'd built was still there and furnished but no one was home... EVERY house was for sale...

Any ideas?

Try turning the game off and on again, I have heard of this glitch before, if this doesn't work I would uninstall everything then reinstall it all again, I know a pain but it should work.

Replace Strangetown with the version in Program Files. This apparently happens due to bad shutdowns.
