Nightlife and changing townie clothing

I'm unable to change the clothes of townies using boolprop to plan outfit, or any other method for that matter. I haven't tried SimPE. I'm wondering if this is because of new game coding, or one of the few hacks I have left installed. If someone has successfully done this, I'd like to know. Let me know how too please.

I also would like to know if there is a way to change "townie" clothing....I used the "Mind Control" mirror...and "zclothingrack"....While both work the clothing does not show up in the Plan Outfit Interface for the townie now that the "Plan Outfit Interface" was changed.....Does anyone know a different way or can a new hack be created to work?

It's the same for NPCs too.

So far the only way I've been able to do this is by having the townie move in with a Sim and then making them a townie again with InSIMenator.

Yup, they sure don't work anymore, will have to try SimPE to change NPC & townie clothing. Another annoynace of Nightlife is how Maxis quietly removed 5 cheats from the game, like "simDNA" and "simskinbrowser". Simskinbrowser was particularly useful.

I been looking all over for a hack or something that works with nightlife. my npcs can't run around looking like this any longer!

had a perfect hack befor NL, but now i cant even change the clothing on the "match maker", I so want to have a gothic dress instead of the gypsy dress.

if anyone finds away besides simpe I would be more than happy!

The matchmaker is a service NPC, different for each neighborhood. You can use the Ugly NPC Makeover Guide mentioned in post 5 to change her appearance.

I know we can use SimPe's SimSurgery but how do we change sim's clothing by just using the Open Clothing tab? Does anyone know?

You can't. I've tried several times with townies and npcs. They don't come with any other clothing.

I can't believe they changed how the wardrobes work. That is low. If I don't find a viable answer soon Goopy and Melissa are going to have a date with the cow plant.

I did some looking in SimPE and you can change their clothing there. Click More and Open Clothing.
