MUCH faster to download from your server. (7 minutes) Thanks a ton for that! |
im scared to download this! so i will just do with what i have..peace! ![]() great download though. |
ooh *sqee* me loves it tested with all ep's and stuff packs and works fine ![]() |
I do love the megahood. It's been great fun to play. I do have a question about the names of the townies though as I've noticed that some of them have changed names. For example, in both versions of the Megahood's Strangetown, Crystal Vu has become Tammy Gergis. I took out the whole Sims2 folder and let it regenerate a new one just to check, and in a vanilla game, Crystal Vu is still called Crystal Vu. I can live with it, I'm just curious really. |
Atom_Bunny - Townies and prebuilt NPCs may be renamed in attached neighborhoods. That's just kinda the way it works - nothing I could do about that besides go back and manually fix each and every name, which really, really wasn't going to happen. |
OK, that's fair enough. The ones that really bother me will have their first names changed with InSim and I'll leave the rest be. That little inconvenience is nothing next to the awesomeness that is the Uber-mega-hood. ^_^ |
You're the best, seriously...thanks! |
Ooopppps..... Posted my appreciation under the old download page.... I love this mod, and had been hoping to see Belladonna Cove incorporated into the MegaHood! Thank you for this! |
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this download. This is amazing. I have one question. I've read through all the posts and (even though I'm blind sometimes) didn't see this question asked. So, here goes. I know in the last merged hood that I DL'd you could move your Sims from one subhood to the main NHood (from Stragetown to Pleaseantview) without complications by moving the Sims into the Sim Bin and then moving the house into the housing bin, moving them to the main Hood and placing everything back in its place. Is that still the case? |
princ3ssali - That's still fine to do here since everyone stays in the same neighborhood (they're just moving from suburbs to the main 'hood) and you're never putting an inhabited lot in the lot bin. |
Awesome, thanks so much for the quick response. I'm off to install this now before the husband gets home and kicks me off the comp to check Craigslist. |
Thank you! Wow I guess my conection is so good its only gonna take me 5min to download lol. |
thank you so much for this it took me less then 2 minutes to download from your server |
Alright, let's say I want the UberMegaHood, but minus one or two sims. May I toss them in the Simbin and delete them, or do I have to kill them off? I can do it with new-made sims, but memory-laden sims-- will their deletion create Very Bad Things? |

For this post you answered that this wouldn't be a good idea. So...I had a question. Does this mean that I can't take a family from Belladonna Cove, move them out the normal way, and get them a new place downtown or in Pleasantview? Just wanted to make sure I understood that. Thank you. Also, thanks for all the hard work you put into this! ![]() |
bloodstained_black_lace - As long as you are not moving an inhabited lot, but are moving the families separate from their lots, and as long as you are not moving them into or out of the Megahood into another neighborhood, it's fine. You can move from sub-hood to sub-hood within the Megahood, but not from the regular Pleasantview to the Megahood's Belladonna... and never with their house, only in the sim bin. ![]() |
Okay! Thank you very much! Now I'm off to download and install! Again, thank you for all the hard work! |
I've read through all these posts and I don't see anyone else that has an issue with the Aspir family not loading. Try to load the lot to play them and it tries, then crashes with that "Exception code: 0xC0000005" thing in the log. Game loads, other lots play fine, but load the Aspirs and boom. Anyone else have this happen or am I just lucky?? Update: I have tried move the family out: crash I tried to move the lot to the housing bin, thinking to move them back in or to maybe package them from a fresh Desiderata and install a new Aspir family: you can't until you enter the lot....I can't enter the lot. I tried going to the Bell's and having Hannah call Elizabeth and inviting the household over: crash. Next I tried inviting them over one at a time and asking them to move in: Victor, then Elizabeth and Pauline, fine. Luis: Crash. So I went to my daughter's single, regular Desiderata hood that I remember playing once or twice when I just got FT, and the Aspir family loaded fine back then. She doesn't play them and this is a fresh hood, so they were new. Hers crashes, too, so it's NOT the mega-hood. Did something happen to Luis Aspir with AL?? |
Amazing work, and had it not been for the fact you can't add shopping districts without creating a crater the size of New York, you would have my download pronto (I like to add shopping districts of my own). Either way, I can appreciate all the hard work you put into this amazing piece of sim downloadery, and just because of that I will thank you for it. Total utter awesome. (although, I might just download it and see what happens when you do add more sub-hoods. I like explosions) |
This is awesome! I was going to wait until I got a new pc, but I just couldn't wait anymore! Can't wait to play this hood, it will make things much easier. Thank you so much! I'm sure making this was much harder than anyone can imagine. You are made of much awesome, and only Picard is above you on the awesomeness scale! |
Thank you! Thank You Soooo Much! I downloaded the first one which was great, but then because of a unrelated problem I was having with my game I had to Uninstall my game, , and lost it, among other things, and so I decided to come here to get it again, and to my surprise you had updated it to include Belladonna Cove, which is just wonderful, you see my favorite " Hood's" are Pleasantville and Strangetown, and now Belladonna Cove too, and I have all ways wanted to have the Goths and the Smith family know each other, never thought that I would be able to, but you have now made my dream come true, plus I get to play two different versions of my favorite families and Hoods too, you are a true master here, Thank you Again! ![]() |
I hope this doesnt crash my computer! (Well, it probably won't, because i have a pretty strong one) Thanks! |
I found out about your neighborhood over at MATY and am really glad I tried it. I just love playing the merged hood! You've done a great job and I like using the shopping district much better than the original using the downtown area. It makes more sense. I have already added a custom downtown hood and it's working fine, the entire game is working great, thank you very much for all your hard work on this mod! |
Hello! First of all, thanks for this and all your wonderful creations (I think I have everything you created ^_^'). Before downloading this I just wanted to ask a few questions. I didn't have Seasons (until today) so I was sad that I couldn't download this, and the tutorial on how to make a similar neighborhood was totally daunting for me, so I made my own shopping district that resembled strangetown. I moved one family from the original strangetown (the one with the alien), to the shopping district I created. I also took some families from the bin and moved them into houses in said shopping district (I also took some families from the bin and moved them into houses in Bluewater and Downtown). Furthermore, I took some community lots from Belladonna Cove (the gym, museum, coffee shop, library, etc ), Desiderata Valley (The cook-off place and the sports park), and Strangetown (all community lots) and moved them to my new shopping district. I also did this for my neighborhood's downtown and original shopping district (bluewater village), and I took some community lots (Including ones that are occupied, such as the Kim and Kat family) from the bin as well. Now here are my questions: 1. Do I have to delete the shopping district I created? You said not to attach more shopping districts, but I'm assuming that's after using the uber-megahood so I just want to make sure. 2. What will happen to the sims who lived in the shopping district if I delete it? 3. Since I moved some community lots from their original neighborhood to the one I'm using (Pleasantview), will the uber-megahood be affected (or vice-versa)? 4. If there's a problem, and I delete the uber-megahood, will such action affect my game? Thanks in advance! |
jet2r0cks - Well, it sounds like you're not using this, so your shopping district being added has nothing to do with the shopping districts for the Uber-Megahood. You can have other shopping districts in -other- neighborhoods, just not in the Pleasantview + everything else that is this download. You play whatever other neighborhoods however you like - the whole "don't create more shopping districts" is ONLY for this. However, moving sims from Strangetown into another neighborhood is a Very Bad Idea and unless you did it right, you've messed up the neighborhood you moved them into, so you should probably just delete that whole neighborhood entirely. |
