Welcome To The Jungle~Live In Paradise~WaterFalls, Streams, and Liveable TreeHouse

10 Attachment(s)
This is the Residential version of The Jungle. Ive included a Residential, No Custom Content version also.
The Community Lot which was built for kids in mind for the Kids Challenge, may be found here

If your Sims love nature and want to live in a wild and beautiful setting, this is the place for them. Take a mountain hike through the natural landscaping. View the wild animals along the way. You can always take a swim in the waterfall. Fish in one of the waterfall streams.

You can fill the treehouse with all your comforts and live there, or just live in the clearing by the waterfall. Sleep on the boulder rocks and cook your food on the open rotisserie(Must be downloaded here). There are sanitary accomodations but they are primitive. You can also build a little shack in the clearing and live there.

Bon Voyage is not needed for this lot
Notes:
1 Boolprop & Move Object used for decorative effects.
2)Horse by Dragon Slave not included but may be found here
3)Open Pit Rotisserie by Phaenoh not included but can be found here
4)Sandpit by feeEssen not included but can be found here
5)Sims not included.
6)To get the effect of no street, use move_objects on, delete sidewalk and street. The natural terrain paint should come through
7)Tree branch potty and sandpit located near toilet/shower area.
8)*IMPORTANT*Sims are out in the jungle, they will be hot in summer and cold in winter. Keep them cool with cold drinks and swimming. Warm them by making a fire. The treehouse may not give shelter without walls.
9)TreeHouse is fully functional. Just climb the ladder. It is roomy enough to add all the comforts your Sims may need
10)Custom Content Version has streams, waterfall, treehouse. See Photo for details

Please let me know if you detect any glitches. This lot was challenging for me because of the terrain levels and my limited experience using it. I wanted Sims to be able to reach the top of the hills without steps. Also my humble attempt at a waterfall worked fine in my game and Sims were able to swim.
I hope you enjoy this lot and experience a problem free jungle adventure for your Sims young and old.
Love
Rose

The CC that isn't included, do I need them for the lot to work?

Rosehill9991 4th Jan 2009 06:17 AM

The lot will work fine without cc. Its just a visual difference.

Cocomama 4th Jan 2009 11:24 AM

Ohhhh, this looks so beautifull, I'm so curious how you managed to make this, can't wait to try it out!! Thank you Rosehill9991 for sharing

What a great idea!
Methinks I shall make Robinson Crusoe...I love that show!
Thanks, great work!

It's so lovely, I wanted to do a shipwrecked thing and this will be perfect.

Rosehill9991 4th Jan 2009 11:04 PM

Thanks so much for the feedback and compliments. This lot was tedious to make but its all worthwhile if you like it.
Its perfect for shipwrecked themes. When I played it was a challenge to keep my sims cool, fed and clean without any real shelter. I grew some vegtables to try and make money and them built a little hut. That was a real luxury and it was fun.

Even if you have BonVoyage or vacation this is still a beautiful spot for your sims. Theres enough room to build a pretty nice bungalow and send them on vacation.

Or if you want you can make it a camp ground. There are tents and sleeping bags available on this site.

Hopefully the community version will get approved and there will be more options.
For anyone that would rather have The NO custom content version, is very pretty in my opinion but less greenery. And of course no animals and other decor. But you still have the waterfall, treehouse and streams.

I was asked if you need AL for this to work. Well, I dont think I used anything from AL for the regular version. I havent tried it without AL, so dont know if my game would crash. The No custom content version is using the spiral ladder for the treehouse. So you definately need it for that.

Anyway thanks again. Please enjoy the lot. Keep the feedback coming. I base alot of my next projects on what I hear from the community.
Love
Rose

OO I asked this question of another lot. The answer is yes, you need AL. If you, the creator, have AL, it saves games in a different way, so we, the downloaders, need to have AL to play, regardless of whether you used AL stuff. Sorry to anyone without AL. It sucks, I didn't have AL yet when I asked of the other lot Sorry.

OMG! That lot is amazing! It's pretty much prefect! Sorry for no knowing but, How did you make the waterfall?

Rosehill9991 10th Nov 2009 12:17 AM

Thanks, I had to use a few build tricks like raising terrain. I started with the pool because I wanted them to be able to swim in it

The rotisserie spits doesn't work... (well my Sims can't cook any meal with any kind of stove or barbecue) do you know how?

I'm not sure why either, Try going on the creators page and make sure you have all the necessary expansions

Hi, really sorry you had such trouble. Thanks for downloading and working so hard to get it to work. I'm wondering what caused the problem. When I install with the Clean Installer the files went into the right place.

On a residential lot the rotisserie won't work with out a refrigerater. You may need a counter too. On the communty lot this won't be a problem.
If you want to place a refrigerator and counter without building wall, type ctrl-shift-C, then type moveobjects on in the box at the top of the screen.
I have a fridge I use on this lot that looks like a tree. It's perfect! I found it at sapphire sims. Registration is required, but it's free. The fridge is packaged in a lot called Gypsy Meadow Camp. The search is on the left side of the screen, and it won't work until you register. (I haven't seen the fridge separately.) For some reason the search isn't always on the screen. Try clicking downloads if you don't see it. Those of you who love this lot will likely love this one as well. It's the best gypsy lot I've seen. It's all outdoors with caravans and tents to sleep in, and outhouses and a very outdoor looking shower. The only issue I had with that lot is the shower needs to be rotated - very easy fix in buy mode!
After downloading the lot the fridge landed happily in buy mode.

I have a question about this lot.
When I started this lot it started as winter. But then my sims began overheating and getting sunburned.
Before this lot was packaged, did you use the weather reward to make it sunny? I can't figure out how else sims would get sunburned in the winter. If not, any idea what is going on? I have not used that reward object anywhere in my game since I reloaded sims.
I am not fond of that reward object. I haven't figured out how to go back to regular weather after using it. If someone knows how, please share.

There were no reward objects or mods used in the lot. This is the tropics it's supposed to be hot even in the winter. Keep them cool by swimming and drinking cool stuff. There is a mod to change sims temperature but Ive never used it.

Sweet creation Rose! I love it! How long did it take you to build that? I bet it took months!
