Works with Patch: 6/15/17

This mod will bring more personality to your sims!

There have been 2 other mods that I have found so far that do about the same thing, however, they have not been updated in a long time. The mods are: PTME Emotional Overcharge by FlorainPTME which hasn't been updated since July 2016. There have been comments stating that it is broke and causes problems with Dine Out. You can find that mod HERE if you want to take a look at it. The other mod Autonomous Interactions by weebl_101 also has not been updated since Jan 2016 and also has reports of it being broken. You can find that mod HERE

I don't mind if you make changes to any of these files in any of my mods as long as it is PERSONAL USE ONLY
Continue Reading:

Romance interacations require certain requirements to appear, if you use another mod that allows your to adjust a sims relationship with another sim the game doesn't always update that in the sim panel. The bars change but when you hover over the sim panel it hasn't updated. If that doesn't show the new relationships then some of these new interactions may not appear. I don't know all the ways to update the panel however, I do know if you save your progress and then reload the saved game the panel will be updated and the interactions will appear as supposed to. Again this is only if you change the relationship manually!

Updated: 6/13/17<--Keep updated with changes!
Always remove old files before adding new!

One of the things I hate the most about this game is how no matter what the sims mood is, the almost always do nice interactions. Almost always are they just Chatting. What are they chatting about? I have no idea because it is set to just do an idle chat that doesn't give your sims any knowledge of the other. So what does this mod do you ask? Good question, keep reading to find out!

WIP
If you have ever noticed, when ever your sims are done with the interaction with another that you just directed them to do, they will almost always immediately start chatting. That ment even if they were angry or they just got in a fight with another sim they would start chatting. That seemed extremely strange to me and made story telling a lot harder to do. In this mod I disabled that. The sims will no longer just chat for no reason. So many of these interactions were not autonomous which seemed odd. It was like the creators wanted them sims to always be happy and have good relationships with others with no drama. This mod will help change that. Some of the things I have seen so far are sims discussing their interests and having deep conversations along with getting romantic with others all on their own. They do more than just kiss cheek now! I've seen them go up to their special someone and embrace them and do special kisses. My sims now hold conversations that mean something unlike before, I had no idea what "chatting" was even about. This mod has brought more to my game and I hope it does for your game as well!

Check out my other autonomoy mods to add to the excitement of your game! All found HERE

Common Questions: <--Please read before asking a question.

There are a lot of factors in this mod on what determines what interactions are used, when and by who. The things that will help determine it are: Moods, Traits, Conversations, and Relationships. Some are set for specific types. For example, most of the mean interactions are set for the traits: Evil, Hot Headed, and Mean, with occasional ones set for immaturity for the child, teen, and childish traits. However, that doesn't mean it won't happen from a good sim or romantic sim. Depending on how they feel and the relationship with the other sim may override their trait setting. Insanes are very unpredictable.

I've been following this mod and it looks like something I want, but I'm still concerned about Sims cheating all over the place. I have auto flirting turned off with MC Command Center, because I was getting so many married couples cheating that it was completely ridiculous and unrealistic. I just don't play my game that way.

I see you put some restrictions on romantic interactions, but is this going to stop married couples from cheating? I'm not interested in that kind of drama, but at the same time, I'm so burned out on the idle chatter that doesn't go with my Sim's personalities. So, I'm just curious if I will run into rampant cheating with this like I would with autonomous flirting on.

Hello! Thanks a lot for this mod!
One quick question: Does this mod add the action "Kiss neck" for adults? Cause Mod conflict detector shows it as a conflict with Shimrod's kiss neck for adults.

The main mod has romance restrictions. Basically no flirting will happen unless they are at least friends. That will slow down cheating but not remove it all together. But you should see an improvement. Woohoo will not happen till there is a romance bar which also won't happen till after friendship. Try for Baby requires a serious relationship as well.

I haven't really played since I made those restrictions but I believe the cheating will slow down a decent amount.

There will be a conflict because they change the same file. I didn't make any changes to kiss neck to allow for adults but I also didn't realize it was set that way since it always appeared in my game. I will do some checking and if I need to make more changes to the file to allow for it to appear for adults then I will get that fixed.

Thank you so much for the No restrictions version! There is a problem, though - after getting the first kiss no other kiss options appear. I tried it in a new save, but it only got fixed when removing the mod.

Since they are now set autonomous the in games notification pops up for the townies as well.

I definitely don't have WW but it's good to know about! I actually don't get notices in MCC about anything. I like this mod, though, so I guess I'm going to have to suck it up. LOL. It's just those constant pop ups are really annoying because I really, really don't care what an inactive sim learned about another inactive sim, ha ha ha ha. And turning off notices in MCC didn't help in my case, believe me, it was the first thing I tried and even DP was stumped where the notices were coming from until we tracked it down to this mod.

I imagine once people get to know each other they won't keep popping up.

And thank you for looking into it PBS. Like I said earlier, I didn't know if it was something you could even suppress but if there was a way to toggle it off, it would make this mod perfect. Unfortunately, I know there's only so much modders can do. Still, I appreciate you taking the time to peek at it!

No problem! If this was a script mod it would be easier but since it's just an XML mod then I'm a little limited with what I can do

I was checking out "MTS_PolarBearSims_1694171_Personality_Please.zip" and noticed in the "Personality_Please!_By_Polarbearsims.package" that 4 of the interaction tunings had improperly matched start and end tags in the xml and were throwing up errors when I loaded it in sims 4 studio. You can clearly read the errors in each tuning and I was able to fix mine with the s4s xml built in tool. I always load and check and update any dl'd packages I use to be safe. My guess is that it would throw a last exception whenever those interactions were accessed or at the very least wouldn't run. I didn't look at the others, just that one. Just trying to be helpful.

P.S. The tunings with errors are: E882D22F!00000000!000000000001D3BD.InteractionTuning.xml

Thank you for saying something that was found using Sims 4 Studio. However, I too have noticed sometimes that program will show an error when it actually isnt. I've compared my 4 files using Winmerg. That program takes 2 files and compares the differences with each other. I use that to check my files with updates along with anything that may be wrong. I put the games file in along with mine and both files are the same when it comes to begining start and ending tags. I also when through the files to see if there were anything else that was not matching other than my changes just to see if maybe a code was incorrect. That also showed being just fine. I will look some more but at this time the files are the same as the games original files.

I am currently going though the files for the newest update so when I get to those I will do a second run through more closely again just to make sure. If I do find anything I will be sure to fix them when when I get done. This one takes a while to go through so I will start back up again with it tomorrow. Again thank you for saying something and I will surely take a closer look again tomorrow.
