How do you fix the frame issue in SimPE? I love the frame recolors, but I don't want to lose my other frame recolors. Thanks.

(1) First you have to find the packages wich contains the frames you want not to loose.
(2) Then you have to export the texture images of these packages using Simpe.
(3) For the next step you must install Hafiseazale's CEP-packages. (You can also do that at the very beginning.)
(4) After you have done this, start SimPE again and then the Object-Workshop.
(5) Click Start and wait until the loading process is ready.
(6) A list will open where you have to search the original painting under decoration/wall hangings (Don't know the exact english names in that list).
Click on the painting and then on Continue.
(7) Then choose Recolor and click Start. Give your new frame a package name.
(8) Then you will see the effect of Hafiseazale's CEP-packages.
You will get shown two subsets to choose. In general (*) one of the subsets has "frame" in it's name. Remove the check mark of the other one. Then click ok.
(9) Finally you have to import one of your exported textures.
A better result you will get, if you use Build DXT, but I had to install it separatly. You can find it here: http://modthesims.info/t/500002. Maybe you have it already.
(10) Click Commit and save your package.

(*) I wrote "in general" because at some few pictures the names were probably mistakenly exchanged, and you have to choose the other one.

The text has become unexpectedly long. This sounds more difficult than it is, it is made from step (2) for one frame in five minutes. Maybe not at the first time. Step (1) can take longer.

You can ask me if something is unclear.

Actually, it's enough to copy the "stdMatBaseTextureName" value from the package with the frame (or other part) you want to keep, and paste it into the "stdMatBaseTextureName" field in the new recolor package's TXMT. That way, both packages will use the same texture, so there's no quality hit for those who don't have Build DXT. Also, the new recolor package can be smaller, because it doesn't have to have a texture at all. To delete the texture, right-click on the TXTR in the Resource List and select Delete, then save the package.
