Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Changelog
now updated for game version 1.26.96 (Jan. 12 patch). Please note that the mod version is still v1.5. To update the mod, simply remove your old mod (both More CAS Columns and More Color Swatches files) and redownload it again.
More color swatches are now part of the main mod instead of a seperate mod.

Description
This mod increases the number of columns in CAS. Two flavours of the mod are available: 3 columns, and 4 columns.

Warning
If your game's resolution is too low, the UI might be cut off of the screen. I don't recommend using the 3 column flavour if your resolution is lower than 1280x720, or the 4 column flavour if your resolution is lower than 1600x900.

Compatibility
v1.5 is built with version 1.26.96
v1.4 is built with version 1.19.28
v1.3 is built with version 1.15.55
v1.2 is built with version 1.9.80
v1.1 is built with version 1.8.61

Conflicts
This mod overrides the following files and will conflict with other mods that also modify these files.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the File tab to see the download link. Click the link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
Read the upload description for installation instructions. If nothing else is specified, do the following:
No Extraction Required (Script Mods):
1. Cut and paste the .zip file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
  • Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
Script mods need to be placed directly in \Mods or one level below that (e.g. \Mods\Scripts) – sub-folders nested any deeper won’t work.
Extraction Required (Everything Else):
1. Use WinRAR (Windows) to extract the .package file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).
2. Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
  • Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\

Need more information?
  • Anyone can use both .rar and .zip files easily! On Windows, use WinRAR.
  • If you don't have a Mods folder, just make one.
  • Mod still not working? Make sure you have script mods enabled

Both the three-column and four-column versions are working for me on the latest version, but occasionally items will get shifted sideways off the grid. Applying/removing a filter will usually fix it, but it's rather annoying.

Sorry. I didn't see this (I don't log in here often). I will try it next time I launch Sims 4 and see if it works. If it doesn't, I will report back. Thanks!

Edit: Looks like we had a small patch today. I still haven't had a chance to play yet. Sorry (again).

It's a fantastic idea, and I've been using it for a while now, but it's gotten to the point where I am FED UP with trying to use it. At first, I noticed that the items in CAS suddenly began shifting. Well, now it does that CONSTANTLY - even when you change the filters. And not even that. Sometimes the items will disappear completely, or you can't see them on your Sim at all (that happens most with clothing). I loved using this mod, but now I have to let it go. By the way (if this is useful information at all), I was using the 3 column version (and the color swatches), and I run the game in fullscreen mode. Accessories, shoes, pants, dresses, and shirts all get messed up. I don't really notice the issue when it comes to makeup or facial features.

I don't know for sure if your issues are caused by this mod (I don't experience any myself, but again I don't use CC so I don't have a whole lot of items in CAS). I'll update the mod when Get Together's patch releases this week and hopefully it can fix some issues (if it didn't then these issues are probably beyond my control).

This is actually a CC problem, not the mod. For some reason, and I have no idea which ones, some CC for cas causes items to shift. I'm sorry I can't help you any further with the shifting but all I can say is switch clothes tabs or make up tags till it resets. Works for me after a while.

Any idea if the color swatches still work? or do we need to hang tight for a new update on that as well.

I don't use the color swatches myself so I don't know whether they still work or not. If people are reporting they are not working I'll update them.

I just tested the color swatch and it makes all sims "stuck" in child age. The traits are correct etc. but the icon gets stuck. If I take the color swatch out, it's back to normal.
