Invite Into Home Indefinitely (1.17.7)

The mod is updated to V2 for the 1.17.7 patch. The job_visitor file is added into the mod as evilone22 has stated in the comments.

This mod alters the Invite In function, or result, such that sims invited into your home or lot are allowed to stay indefinitely. It works the same way whether using 'Invite In' on a sim knocking at the door, inviting a sim by phone, or inviting a sim through 'Travel', or however.

The Appropriateness Buffs applied to visitors, i.e. No Bathing, No Cooking, No Cleaning, No Sleeping, are removed so that visiting sims can do these things normally; they act more or less as roommates similar to the Sims3 Uni roommates.

However!....When the active sims travel away to some other Neighborhood or Lot, the current active lot is unloaded while the new lot is loaded and made active. So all the visitors staying at your place simply disappear, although it's possible to call the same sims on the phone and invite them back.

Also, visiting sims who need to go to work or school will leave at the correct time, and they do not come back afterwards; they will need to be re-invited. If your active sim goes to work and the camera remains at the home lot, visitors will remain in place as the home lot is still the lot being run by the game.

Unzip the file and use the .package file in the Mods folder or subfolder.

I had this mod in my game and removed it... but now the sims never go home when they come over. I have to ask them to leave. Also, if a sim is over and it is time for them to go to work, they stop anything they are doing and leave with a message they have to go to work. How do I get the mechanics of this mod out of my game even after I have removed the actual mod from my mods folder?

I have difficulty believing you. If I remove this mod the mechanics or effects from the mod are gone immediately, reverted back to vanilla game. This is the same with all of my other mods. Check and make sure you still don't have it installed in an extra subfolder, or that you also have the evilone22 file installed maybe.

Okay. You were right. I went to the button in the game to show mods, and scrolled through and found another copy. I then had to go through my sub folders to find it. Thanks for the info. It was making me crazy that it was still working when I had moved the mod out of my mods folder. Didn't realize it had been copied to another subfolder.

In toddler expansion, you just have to read a toddler to sleep in an available bed, so this still works great...

Are you going to update this to include Vampire Coffins as well? Cause visiting Vampires have yet to use the coffins I laid out. - EA created a bug, Vampires can't sleep in a tent, but can take naps in them. Visiting vampires try to sleep in them, and only pop right back out.
Also, visiting vampires don't hit the bar to make Plasma Janes for themselves, and my sim can only make 1 at a time, and the Plasma Jane doesn't fill the thirst bar very quickly, So I would like for visiting vampires to be able to make their own drinks too. *With hire a mixologist, no one seems to order plasma janes either*
please say yes...

Otherwise, this mod is still working strong for me.

The visitors vampire and non-vampire can sleep in coffin if the coffin isn't occupied by another sims. Try to have more coffins in your lot.
I didn't find option for visitor to autonomous make Plasma Jane.

Updated for patch 1.26 including Vampire pack.

Thank you for the update!
Also, I was playing with my game, after the patch, had my spouse visiting, And she rose from a coffin... I haven't grabbed the update yet.
When I posted that my vampires were not sleeping in coffins, I didn't know that EA was preparing some repairs for them.
As I noticed, NPC sims didn't sleep in their coffins either, just wound up napping everywhere they could lay down, except for 1, that had the weakness to always sleep in a coffin.

Side note:
If you have Care Free Aspiration reward for 3000...
Negates Guilty Drinker
Negates Fear of the Sun
As both weaknesses give tense moodlets, and Care Free = Never Tense.
Leaving only 1 point for an actual weakness.
I am not sure, but believe my Doctor reward trait "Sickness Immunity" prevents my sim from throwing up when eating food, as I have Withered Stomach as a weakness.

Grabbing your posted update here.

My YA Vampire daughter is staying over at my home, she is dragging, and won't sleep, Is there a way for you to include Vampire Energy at very low levels as another trigger to rest for the vampire visitors?
