New Mesh
This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Edit 20/06/09: I have re updated the coffeetable within the drift living rar and included the dining stool. Makes it easier for everyone. You do not need to redownload unless you for some reason still have the original from october 07.
I've been wanting to make a big square coffeetable for a long time and then other bits and pieces floated in and evolved into a little set that could be ethnic or beachy depending on how you use it and come in both lightwood and darkwood.
![]() So now to the sticky details; I've used the repository technique for the surfaces, the master being the coffeetable. The table is slightly smaller than the footprint so look at the bottom of the thread for a nice picture of what to do if you are having problems with your sims acting strangely. The sofa is slightly wider than the average simmy sofa so there is very slight clipping when directly up against the wall, again I would advise moving it slightly forwards if you're a stickler for details. Any other placement is fine. The bookshelf is a working bookcase and should work even if you place an endtable in front of it. ![]() I've added some tangy colours for the sofa and finally, finally, I've worked out what makes the candles flicker, about time really so yes, they flicker nicely.![]() There is a collection file included in the rar. I've added a stool that you can find listed with the dining chairs. It uses both the coffeetable and the sofa for textures so you'll need both in game. If you would like to use one of the repository items in your lot link back to here. People need to be aware of how the coffeetable works. No paysites. Meshes and textures: me,mine and maxis for the books Polygon Counts: Drift coffee table: 521 Drift Nestling Tables: 344 Drift sideboard: 371 Drift Sofa: 944 Drift Bookshelf: 176 Drift Pebble Candle: 718 Drift Urn: 388 Drift Stool: 217 Additional Credits: Repository technique tutorials by Ignorant Bliss and JWoods and fixing footprints tutorial by Echo. 3011 people have said thanks to buggybooz for this download.
