This lovely beach house was featured in the recent movie 'Nights in Rodanthe'. I admit, I netflixed that movie almost completely for the house. Movie eh, house awesome! This gorgeous house was painstakingly recreated from the movie. There is this lovely overhead fly around shot that I watched and rewatched about a 30 times to get everything perfect.





There are many decks and places to look out at the ocean on this house. The deck itself is like another room. Just look at those views! Later in the movie we find Adrienne back at her own home in her garage building a driftwood box for Paul, so I included a work bench and driftwood pile for her to work with here instead.





There weren't as many nice walk through shots of the interiors of the house so I decorated it as best I could. We see a living room, kitchen, and a dining room leading out to the deck on the main floor.





The real house (named Serendipity) has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, but my Sim version only has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This house is perfect for two single adults, but can hold 3 sims. Sadly, there was no better way to arrange the upstairs to make both sides of the orange room's bed accessible. In the movie this is the room that Adrienne stays in. The heartthrob Dr. Flanner stays in the blue room.





I tried to use a little CC and EPs as possible. This lot only requires OFB and BV. I needed OFB for stages on the deck and BV for the beach. YOU DO NOT NEED NIGHTLIFE. I created this lot with Numenor's Driveable Cars mod. I removed the hack before packaging and then installed a copy of this house in a game with NL. Numenor is so awesome that the driveway and door are just perfect. If you have NL, good. If not, you NEED Numenor's Driveable Cars Mod. This lot was created on Twikii Island beach, so placing it there or on a beach with a similar slope is ideal.

I made a few things for this house myself. I recolored the BV column to be completely whitewashed on the top. I needed a white column that sat on top of a halfwall. The BV column did that quite nicely. I could not find those stunning shutters on the house anywhere else, so I made them myself. They are recolorable, and they look like the regular shutters on the Midnight Ride window, but I decided not to do repository technique on them. The bright blue color is the only color the hurricane shutters come in currently. Feel free to recolor, link back here to the mesh please.

Some of the CC didn't package with the lot so they have been included in the rar. Please place these files in your downloads folder before installing the house. I gave this house a custom thumbnail, so its easy to find in the lot catalog. Its the same image that this thread uses as its thumbnail.
