So.

Me and my parents are changing my room's tapestry and so all my old and new stuff is put into some random boxes that lay wherever there is some room. So, there's a piano in the middle of my room and on that lays an innocent-looking cardboard box. It's night and my room is dimly-lighted. I enter my room, sit down and then something starts talking in the box. I, of course, am scare sh*tless because it is so sudden, but then I see that my brother's put his stupid walkie-talkie in the box. Oh, how clever of him. Anyway, then I see that one of my old cute dolls is also in the box and she's twisted into extremely painful position to fit in there.

And then I start thinking if this doll was alive, what would she do to those who have harmed her...

Hence was born Samantha, the evil doll.

[tl;dr. Shorter version: stupid incident inspired me to create this sim.]
