I downloaded this, and I didn't like it very much so I decided to delete it from my downloads folder. But when I did, the grass and the roads on my lot all turned white! How can I fix this?

Default I Lost My Sky
i tried to remove your stuff from my download folder and now all my game is screwed. i have no more rivers, sky and no matter what terrain style i choose for a new neighborhood, it's all green and horrible. i appreciate that you created this but now all my game ( i have all the ep's that i paid a lot for) is useless. i'm a movie maker but now i can't keep doing what i do just for one download. i feel a little mad because i see that i'm not the only one having this problem.i even see here that the last time someone voiced that problem was in 2011. you haven't answered since. so please help us !!!!! i want my neighborhood back, i want my rivers, my sky , my moon and my sun!

ps: the problem occured yesterday, just after i installed the 7 eps that i bought the same day. i know you may not answer today but i would appreciate if it didnt take you another year to react.

a very sad and frustrated downloader

Errr, When I downloaded this, I didn't know it replaced the default neighborhood roads and grass. I thought they were just like... Floor Tiles or something. So i wanted it back to normal. I deleted the files... I checked on Sims Game and it was still there but worst when i'm in a household only the road in front of my house is normal the rest is dirt. So can someone help me please ?

it happened to me too but no one can help me . i will contact the creator personally. this could not happen in a worse moment. i' was about to start making a movie . it happens in a city so i need a concrete neighborhood, but this download erased it all. now i have no other choice of terrain texture but this green grass. i'm about to lose my mind when i realize how much i've spent for this, and to loose it all for one download makes me really mad. contact me in mp if you find something, i'll do the same

As I have indicated previously, this "mod" is only texture files. They are recolors of the game's road and grass images. It will only change the look of the roads when the .package is placed in your Downloads folder. When taken out, your game will use it's original images for the roads/grass. It does not affect the game in any other way and will not conflict with any expansions or stuff packs, as well as any other kinds of custom content.

To all people that encounter what they consider issues with the "mod" - Did you backup your Downloads folder before applying my mod and any other custom content? If you have not done this, I cannot be responsibile for anything that happens to your game. In the event that you ever have problems with custom content you should be able to revert to your previous saved "The Sims 2" folder and all your problems will be sorted.

Next did you test your custom content in a blank hood/game to be certain it was compatible with your computer/expansions set up?

Lastly, if you did not do the previous actions, have you tried creating a "fresh" game by deleting your "The Sims 2" folder? (Obviously this will delete your current game, so you should back that up before doing this step.)

In any case, it is important that you understand how to back up your game and test custom content before using it in your permanent/playable hood. Otherwise, the game is easily prone to borkage which is unfortunately a part of the Sims2 experience. The problems indicated by commenters was easily avoidable by backing up the game.

this is beautiful, beautiful work! thank you, it looks amazing in-game. would you have any interest in converting this for dirt neighborhoods, but in a way that the grass would transfer too? ::fingers crossed::

UPDATE: nvm, found your files at the Plum Bob Keep. Thanks again, you're an amazing creator!

This mod is one of the best I've seen since playing the original game. It completely changes the way the neighborhoods look, especially if you change carpools to horse-drawn coaches and the like. However, I noticed with Strangetown there was no alteration. Is there a known problem with desert/concrete tiles?

Default Fyi
I have terrain replacement mods; does this interfere with yours? The dirt roads are not showing up.
ADDED: I discovered that hood-terrain defaults DO interfere with road replacements.
And sorry I didn't realize the creator has passed away.

Stand up, speak out. Just not to me..
