What does this do?

This mod fixes an apparent bug where sims could not "jam" on their instruments with more than two music types - there was just "Jam" and "Blues".

So I added back in the two other available perform types - "Rock" and "Jazz" and lo and behold, it works.

Why this was left out, I don't know - adding them back in was simple enough and appears to work just fine. Bug, intentional, no clue - if you're supposed to unlock them somehow, it's sure not obvious.

My test sim with 8 points in guitar skill played different songs for the different types - she sucks at the other instruments but the options worked, just sounded the same - I'm guessing they'd sound different at the higher skill levels... Please let me know if that's not working properly, or if you have any other problems with the behavior of this mod. I don't tend to have a lot of time these days to test as extensively as I'd like.

Patch Compatibility:

The Rock Band XML file has not changed between patches 1.17 and 1.38, so this mod should work fine with any game version between 1.17 and 1.38.

Conflicts?

This is a tiny xml tuning mod that modifies the Rock Band XML. There's very little included in that XML, so the potential for conflicts is pretty low, but any other XML tuning mod that modifies the same XML will conflict with this one.

They work but have no text. I need to test my game without the file now though to see if it is actually the cause. ETA: Must be another hack I have conflicting or something as the text is still missing with this mod removed. So in answer to your question, yes this mod still works with the latest patch. ETA2: My issue is nothing to do with this great mod. Seems my game has 'lost' the names of all of the compositions my Sim has learnt. I just got him to learn a new one and the name shows fine. I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

And I'm happy with this mod because I made a copy of my own band and really hated it not to be able to jam in rock style edit: YES it works fine with claudiasharon's gigs mod
