This house was actually built over a year ago. It took me several weeks to build and to decorate everything. Just before I had been able to finish the terrain paint my old computer kept crashing whenever I tried to save my work. After having lost many hours of work (twice!) I decided to wait for my new computer to finish this project.
With a few more weeks of work, adding more rooms to the basement and creating a little tomb adventure, Santa's Secret Village is now complete. I hope you'll enjoy playing with it. ![]() House was built at 7224 Cherrywood Drive in Bridgeport. It's a 60 x 60 lot. The terrain paint of this house fits perfectly for its original location, please repaint the borders if you place the lot anywhere else. Furnished: 445,257 § Unfurnished: 236,112 § Entrance Hall & Library: Built on a foundation, equipped with several bookshelves and comfortable seating. Main Building: Built on a foundation. Groundfloor:
First Floor (Santa's Private Chambers):
![]() Shops:
![]() ![]() Tool Shed: Entrance to the basement (via speedy pole) Bell Tower:
Only the Cinema, Cookie Bakery and Wine Cellar are freely accessible (see small basement floorplan), all other rooms are hidden. Those hidden rooms can be accessed either by discovering the hidden doors, activating secret switches and/or by keystone. Please DON'T look at the big basement floorplan in the attachements (last picture) if you don't want to get spoiled. The big basement floorplan shows all rooms of the basement (hidden rooms with traps included). ![]() Buydebug, Moveobjects, PlaceFriezes and ConstrainFloorElevation. I checked the file with CUSTARD to make sure that there is nothing included that doesn't belong there. The Custom Content is NOT included in this file. Please download seperately. This house was built with Custom Content from MTS and some FREE Store Items. I recommend to have all those items installed to make the lot look like on the pictures.
Required: The Sims 3 Base Game, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night and Pets. Built/Playtested with Game Version 10.0.96.013017 - Updated/Saved/Playtested with Game Version 10.0.96.014017 Important! ![]() When I playtested the house I came across a "slight" problem with the doors. While the doors in the basement work just fine and show interactions like "go through door" the doors in the upper levels (and the one in the wine cellar) show "no interactions available", however, Sims CAN go through if you chose an interaction behind the door (e.g. "go here"). I tried to remove things close to the doors, I tried to replace the doors, nothing helped. I failed to find a solution for this problem on the internet. If you have an idea how to fix the doors, please let me know. Any help would be highly appreciated! ![]() Even with this annoying bug it's fun to play with Santa's Secret Village. I only had to unlock two doors (one in the main building and one in Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe) to make the playgame easier because otherwise it would have been too difficult to know which door was locked and which one just didn't offer interactions. If I should ever be able to fix this problem I'll update this file, however, if I shouldn't be able to find a solution for the malfunctioning doors I'll rather build something completely new (e.g. Santa's Home at the Northpole) instead of rebuilding this whole lot a second time. Lot Size: 6x6 Lot Price: 445,257 / 236,112 Additional Credits: Thanks to Delphy for sharing CUSTARD with us.
