Terrace housing based on Broadwall Street in London, which is part of the Coin Street Community Builders project in Southwark, London.

The redevelopment of the site was at the centre of a fierce planning dispute for seven years before the Greater London Council joined forces with local people to create new housing and community spaces.

Broadwall Street or Palm was completed in 1994, and went on the win the following awards;

RIBA Regional Award for Architecture 1996
The Civic Trust Housing Award for Best Housing Development 1996

The real houses have different lay-outs, and this is the second one which provides a 'granny-flat' on the ground floor. The flat has 1 bedroom, and there are 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Obviously with a little tweaking you could use the granny flat to provide a 5th bedroom, but I quite like my elders to retain some independence!
