Information (Click for more details):
Maxis Recolour
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Are your sims tired of the same old curtains? Have you been shopping for new ones and just can't find any they like? (Those stompy feet!!) Well, take a look here. New from the MySimsAreTiredOfTheSameOldCurtains Emporium- 26 new choices for the cafe curtains. Example below.
These recolors were made the usual way in SimPE. "But the colors! They look so bright and crisp!" you say? Want in on the secret? Read on. I had tried before to recolor this curtain with disastrous results. My recoloring skills aren't the greatest so it was probably just me, since I've seen some really nice recolors. Since I don't like the original Maxis textures for this curtain it never got used in any of my sims houses. So when I saw some curtain defaults (nice, solid plain textures) at Garden of Shadows, I decided to give them a try. After I saw how those looked in game I wondered if how recolors would look. I tried one and loaded up my game. I was happy enough with that one, so tried a few more. Happier yet, I did some more- for a total of 26. ![]() Before I decided to share my recolors, I took that default package out of my game. The recolors still look pretty good. So please note that you do not have to have that default replacement package in your game to use these recolors. Another thing to note is that the original Maxis textures still show up when you recolor this curtain. I did use one of the default replacement textures as a guideline when doing my recolors. So either my recolors skills have improved over the past couple of years or I just needed a better template to use. Either way, I'm happy with the results and hope you like them too. One last thing- if you happen to have Leesester's short cafe curtain, these recolors will be picked up by that one. I also recolored Nengi65's Simple Kitchen Curtain to match.10 of the recolors are plain with colored trim. They were made using Aquilegia's texture as an overlay. I tried to do colors that would match anything. Hope you enjoy these new recolors! Note: The meshes for Lee's and Nengi's curtains are included in a separate rar. I also included Aquilegia's default package. If you want the default replacements, just put the package in your downloads folder as usual. Her replacement will not change any existing recolors you may have- if anything they might look better. (It will replace the 4 Maxis textures) My recolors are not defaults.Additional Credits: SimPE, PhotoShop, Leesester, Nengi65 and Aquilegia. (Thank you for your work and allowing your creations to be included with recolors!) 354 people have said thanks to mustluvcatz for this download.
