Back from a long hiatus, I have returned to bring you Meera House in Singapore by Guz Architects -- aka: the Sky Garden House. Computer hardware issues struck me back in January when I originally started this project, and it sort of fell by the wayside until only recently.

Description of Meera House by Guz Architects:

"This house is located on a new housing estate on the island of Sentosa adjacent to Singapore. The plots are not large and neighbouring buildings are built close to the sides of each house.

Thus our strategy was to build a solid wall to each side neighbor to provide privacy where possible, while creating a central light and stair well which would funnel the sea breeze through the centre of the building. The front and rear of the building meanwhile, terrace back allowing each storey to have visual or actual access to greenery.

The intention was to try to allow each roof garden provided a base for the storey above allowing the layered effect to make each storey feel like it was a single storey dwelling sitting in a garden…..as much as we could do in the close confines of Sentosa Island and with such a large building!!"

In the Sims 3, Meera House is a 4 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom dwelling with four playable levels. The underground level features a media room (w/ pool view), nectar cellar, half bath, laundry room, and a small unfinished store room. The main level consists of an open entertainment area with pool access, a full bath with shower, wet & dry kitchens, a guest bedroom (w/ adjoining full bath), and a small room perfect for use as an office, gym, or other activity room. The second level features the master bedroom (w/ walk-thru closet and full bath), another guest room (also with full bath), as well as a family room. Finally, the top level features the second bedroom, complete with its own wardrobe, bath, and living room, as well as a small utility room. There is one parking space out front.

Meera House uses a few minor items from each EP with the exception of SuperNatural, but most of it is nonessential for the overall look of the lot -- exceptions would include: large carved stones in pool (World Adventures), some of the wardrobe items (Ambitions), the lounge seating along the pool windows in the media room (Late Night), the wall shelves (Generations), and the Pressure Paned Window in the master bath, family room, and wet kitchen (ShowTime). If you are missing one or more of these EPs, the game will simply replace missing items with ones from the base game.

Meera House is built on a 25x35 lot. In my game, this house resides at what used to be 499 Sunnyside Blvd along the beach in Sunset Valley where there is just enough room (right beside my Fish House at 477, and Concept One at 455). Cost is a little on the high side thanks to all the bigscreen TVs: §236,714 furnished, §125,458 unfurnished.

Lot Size: 3x4

Lot Price: §236,714 furnished, §125,458 unfurnished

Included Custom Content: http://nene.modthesims.info/download.php?t=419498 - "Thin Round Column in Fractional Heights" by me! Although the set actually includes eight "columns" ranging from 0.25x to 2.00x in height, only the 1.00x and 2.00x columns are included with this lot.

PS: There is one minor glitch that happens occasionally when you enter this lot from the neighbourhood. This seems to be a common problem when placing trees and bushes above ground level -- some or all of the 2nd and 3rd floor trees/bushes appear to hover high above when viewing only the main level. If this happens, simply switch to Build Mode, grab one of the Fan Leaf Palm trees on the 2nd or 3rd floor with the Hand Tool, and then immediately hit ESC to reset them. This should reset all of the floating flora for the duration of the playing session.
