This year I visited Hobbiton (this is the place) and after that I couldn't resist having a go at Bag End for our Sims. I didn't want to use any custom content so I haven't given you a round door, or indeed any round windows, so let's call this my approximation of Bag End without CC or Store Content. I have, on the other hand, used items from the Buydebug section, and a very useful section it is too.

Despite the fact it's up a hill and surrounded by rocks it's a fully playable, cosy little home for your Hobbit complete with a veggie garden and all home comforts, including a Nectar making machine, a Magical mirror and an Alchemy station.

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”

Changing the structure of the house might prove a problem as I have use CFE in the creation of the roof at the front of the house.

Lot Placement
I have placed this home on a 50x50 lot on the site of the fishing spot called Pinochle Pond - To place the lot bulldoze the original lot and put down a 50x50 lot, change the designation to Residential and you will then be able to place the house.

Mods Used
In order to create Hobbity arches for the interior I used this incredible mod by velocitygrass to remove stencils and overlays to remove the yellow decoration on the red Chinese arch. You too can get rid of the yellow decoration, once in game, when using this Mod, you get the option to remove the decoration if you click on a decorated item.

The lot is a little expensive for a one bedroomed home, but the money isn't in the furnishings, it's in the construction and the hundreds of shrubs and plants!

Happy Simming!

Lot Size: 50x50
Lot Price (furnished): 86.050
Lot Price (unfurnished): 55.421
