The Blue Lady is based on the Queen Anne Victorian style rowhouses in San Francisco, specifically the very colorful "Painted Ladies." Since I adore this style of architecture, I've created one of my own design, combined with elements from larger, more spread out residences. The narrow layout is meant to resemble a typical Victorian townhouse, tweaked to be Sim friendly. If there was any doubt, I also really like the color blue.

There are four stories, including the attic. The ground floor houses the garage and an enclosed greenhouse under the deck, while the second story has a sitting room, dining room, kitchen, and full bathroom. The third floor includes an additional sitting room, two bedrooms, and a second full bathroom. The attic is enclosed and accessible, functioning as a third bedroom. I've furnished and decorated the interior as a modern, renovated home that's still retained a Victorian look. The kitchen in particular is based on what it might've looked like in the 19th century, with incorporated modern amenities. However, if you were looking for a more authentic experience, it shouldn't be too much trouble to do a little redecorating and make it look like your Sims are actually in the late 19th or early 20th century.

A clone of the lot's been tested for several Sim weeks with a large family (including a butler and several robots) and a variety of weather conditions. I've tried to tweak the front landscaping so that it can be maintained easily without hacks, but I can't really promise anything - for such a small piece of garden, it keeps finding ways to give me trouble. It's already caught on fire once and the flowers were quickly destroyed, but that's more my Sims' fault than the lot's. There's also a bit of terrain painting to add small paths and some dimension. It isn't too noticeable when placed on a green lot, although placing it on a desert lot will make it look like the yard's trying to hold on to some small, sad patches of lawn.

All of my lots are made with the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, so every EP is required. Let me know if you have any significant problems with the lot, and I hope you and your Sims enjoy life in a Victorian rowhouse.
