I started working on this when I first saw MTS's current monthly theme of December 2015. And because I always wanted to create my own Mountain vacation subhood, I decided to create this subhood for y'all as a Christmas gift! Enjoy!

It's snowing all year round, here in the icy, freezing cold North Pole!
Welcome to Winter Wonderland!

Install Instruction:
This does not go into the Neighborhoods folder like normal neighborhoods, it's a vacation subhood, that's why it goes into the NeighborhoodTemplate folder.
Unzip the file and put the MWW1 or MWW2 folder into your -install location\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate

- By default, it's Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate
- If you have TS2 Ultimate Collection, it's Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Bon Voyage\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate
If you see 4 folders (A001, M001, T001 and V001), you're there!

If you can't see Winter Wonderland in the subhood list, download Mootilda's 'Fix subhood selection' mod.

I've also included a readme file, it contains some helpful and important informations about Winter Wonderland. So make sure you've read it. Thanks!

A warning about Winter Wonderland as a Mountain vacation subhood!

By default, only the first Mountain vacation subhood added to a neighborhood will have its sims.
All the other Mountain vacation subhoods will be empty. So if you add Winter Wonderland first and later Three Lakes, then you won't have the Three Lakes sims and vice versa.
They will simply be delete - and as you know, EA doesn't delete the sims properly - the junk references can be seen in SimPE.

In order to solve this issue, please try this this method. It's written for custom Downtown subhoods but it's systematically the same for vacation subhoods.

Note: If you plan to only add one Mountain vacation subhood to your 'hood, then you won't need to use this method.
Bear in mind that this issue only occurs on vacation subhoods of the same type. So it's completely safe to add Asian and tropical vacation subhoods after adding Winter Wonderland as a Mountain vacation subhood.

Further Information:

Winter Wonderland requires TS2 (Base Game) + Open For Business + Seasons + Bon Voyage + Holiday SPs (Both; Holiday Party Pack + Happy Holiday Stuff Pack).
It may work without the SPs, but then you'll see unpainted walls, missing floors, objects and missing windows. And some characters will look... different. It looks odd without the Holiday SPs, that's why I recommend having them installed.
No CCs are required for this. I only used EA's content.

I used my Sleepy Mountains SC4 map for this neighborhood. You don't need a camera mod for this neighborhood. You'll see all of the lots with the default camera.

Speaking of lots, Winter Wonderland has 20 lots in total.
All of the lots are festively decorated, meaning each house should have at least 1 Christmas tree and so on. For more information about lots, look into the comments for this thread.

If you download the inhabited version, you'll get 10 custom locals, made by me. If you download the empty version, the game will generate the locals.
So if you don't want to see template-faced sims wandering around town, I recommend getting the inhabited version. For more information about the sims, look into the comments for this thread.
I tried to make the locals cartoony-looking, so we get the Winter Wonderland vibe in sims, too.

It's been created using Numenor's AnyGameStarter with no Maxis content. Meaning the subhood was completely empty before I added the locals. All of the lots were compressed using Mootilda's LotCompressor. Some of the lots were modded using Mootilda's LotAdjuster. It's been checked through Mootilda's HoodChecker and no issues were found.

I've also written a guide book for Winter Wonderland, just like EA did in their vacation subhoods. To read the guide book, load Winter Wonderland after attaching it to your neighborhood and click on the Storytelling button. It will give you more information about the individual lodgings in Winter Wonderland.

Known Issues:
- If you attach Winter Wonderland to a neighborhood, the game won't use my pre-set seasons setting (Winter-Winter-Winter-Winter), it will replace the seasons setting with the default one for Mountain destinations (Fall-Fall-Winter-Winter). Sorry, but there's no way for me to fix this. You'll have to load Winter Wonderland and fix this yourself.

- Despite it's snowing in the pictures and in the neighborhood view, it doesn't mean that all of your sim holidays will be snowy. It may snow during vacation but there's a chance that you won't see any snow. I can't do anything about this. There's no control on weather. Maybe you're lucky and it will snow all the time, like it's intended to be. But you may also end up with no snow but cold temperatures.
The neighborhood was made snowy using SimPE, but this doesn't work for lots, unfortunately.
Update 27th December 2015:
This mod enables more snow in winter. It still doesn't snow all the time, but snow is on the ground almost the entire winter. So if you like snow and want to have snowy vacations, then you can try using that mod. Thank you Faerieimp for the info!

- If you ask a local to move in, they will lose all of their memories and will get default CAS sim memories (Met Mystery Sim, Had Very First Kiss with Mystery Sim, etc.) Even if they're married or have children. At the moment, I don't know how to prevent this happening. To fix the memory loss, you could copy the memories over from the template using SimPE after you asked the locals to move in.
But this issue is not related to my custom locals in Winter Wonderland. This also happens to EA's locals in EA's vacation subhoods too.
