So apparently there ARE people who wants a slight chance of failure. My bad. Then I'll add an 80% chance one. Better for everybody?
I stopped playing sims for a while, but recently got back into it. And, me being the scientist lover I am, was quite surprised to see that the Mysaddnessday's cloning machine mod no longer works! Can't have that now can we?! So, until he comes back (or if), I had a little free time on my hands so I slapped together this updated mod for the game!
Just like the original by Mysaddnessday (http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=562921)
, this mod simply ups the success rate of attempted cloning to 100% and drops the cloned items straight into your inventory. Short and simple. While he had 2 other flavors of the mod, I decided to stick to just a 100% rate. Most if not everyone will want this mod for the upped rate anyway right?
You ever try to clone 83 serums with the natural, unaltered rate? No? Try that and then come back and ask me that question again.
You'll need the Get to Work expansion, and I'll note this was made on the 1.25 patch as well.
Also, this mod utilizes the following XML, so anything affecting this will clash:
I don't really plan on being around often enough to really update on a regular basis. Some particularly astute simmers MAY remember I was complaining about computer issues around my last mod. Well, that was fixed, but I had to down grade so my in-depth simming is at an end. But I'll pop in from time to time. Having said that, if anyone here wants to take over ANY of my mods or wants to ask me how I did it so they can do it <better> then by all means!
On another note, been a while since I last made a mod and had to effectively re-teach myself how to make mods. All I'll say is that Sims4studio program is awesome for reacquiring the files I needed in a hurry.
Thanks to S4PE (for letting me haphazardly slap together cobbled pieces of files that somehow gets called Mods), Sims 4 Studio (can extract xmls with titles so I can easily find what I need, love it!), ModtheSims (for giving me a reason to kill lots of my time!), Coolspear1 for calling my mod excellent in his mod (btw, I'm totally using most of your mods right now), Mysaddnessday for the original mod (gods how that was a blessing when that first landed, am I right?!), Swords (for being sharp and pointy), and all the sims I've killed so far (not sure on an exact number, know it's over 800 though). No animals were harmed in the making of this mod. Except sim animals, they got hurt all the time.
