Hey, Triplis here.

Another little project to make one of the existing traits play a little more "uniquely." I think idle animations add a lot of character! And some traits already have a unique idle animation that plays when you choose the trait in CAS, but it never shows up in Live Mode.

So I decided I would fix that little problem for Music Lover Sims. A personal favorite trait of mine and one that has a distinctive CAS animation.

How it Works

Sims who have the Music Lover trait will, while in Live Mode, occasionally do the same idle animation that plays when you click on the Music Lover trait in CAS.

The frequency is identical to the special idle animation that Dance Machine has. It is as follows.

Initial Time - Min: 240 (4 hours), Max: 480 (8 hours)

Normal Frequency after Initial - Min: 360 (6 hours), Max: 1440 (24 hours)

In other words, not super often. So don't expect to jump in-game and see it immediately. It should emerge naturally... it will pop out and scare you! No, that's not true. It won't scare you (I hope). It'll just be a little extra thing that can happen randomly that will make your Music Lover look a little more visually distinctive every now and then.

(Fun fact: If your Sim is both a Music Lover and Dance Machine, you get both idles. So sometimes they'll groove out and sometimes they'll... groove out. I mean, uh... you know what I mean.)

Feedback

Let me know how you feel about the frequency after you've had it in your game for some time. As in, too often, too rare, fine where it is. I figure having it be the same frequency as the Dance Machine idle is a safe design decision, but it could be some would say that Dance Machine idle is too rare and this one will be too... let me know what you think! Or don't. You could just use it and enjoy it and not tell me a thing. That works too. (No sarcasm, it's probably what I'd do in your position.)
