Fully updated and working for the November, 2017 patch!
Aaand, now Broken with the December 17, 2017 patch...
The Good News: Everything is working again The Better News: The 'Original Flavor' Dine Out aquarium just would not work with the original tuning as-was, so I changed it to the NEW 'BaseGame' aquarium's tuning
Soooo, I saw the build items that are forthcoming in the new Cats & Dogs EP (found HERE
on SimsCommunity), which I am very much looking forward to getting, and much to my dismay I saw only one new aquarium, and that one is yet another two-tile floor cabinet/console similar to that which we already have (I realize that it is called ‘Cats & Dogs’ and not Pets…). I was just this side of dismayed about it that I decided to do something myself, change that the situation and cook up some kind of possibilities for myself (and everyone else, as well…)…
I used all three available aquariums, and have made two different versions of each: one with 'original flavor’ tuning, and one that has custom tuning interaction & customized 'Fully Stock’ selection. The custom tuning allows for purchasing & stocking the aquariums with almost any of your choice of fish. I wish to acknowledge coolspear @ simsasylum (link to his mods HERE
, registration required to view) for having made his amazing purchasing item mods, which was what let me know that this could be done. According to his description, if one does not own a particular pack with a fish from the selection menu, then one simply would not see that choice. (I imagine that I may be needing to update the tuning after the new GP comes out…)
Above you see the 'modern’ GP02 aquarium, with a tightly sealed top (large slotted), the GP02 counter-matching rounded-corner one, with a slightly deeper top (large slotted), and a modified GP03 one (medium slotted)(which was VERY
difficult to make lit & have animated water…!). All have the original color swatches (with a very few extra choices) are displayed on various CC-free surfaces from the game, including pedestals, end tables, coffee tables, dining tables and desks (not included).
- The Modern Custom GP02 aquarium stocks with: 2 Discus, 2 Guppies, 1 Betta and 1 Catfish
- The Rounded Custom GP02 aquarium stocks with: 2 Kissing Gourami, 1 Guppy, 1 Betta, 1 Angelfish and 1 Black-tailed Shark
- The Square Custom GP03 aquarium stocks with (Baby Fishies!): 1 Rainbowfish, 1 Betta, 1 Angelfish and 1 Guppy (I could have made the tank hold 6 fish like the others, but it would have required me to learn how to inject a tuning, which I am nowhere near being able to do…)
Having these available in-game is going to give me a lot of Happy, and I Hope that it does to you, too! You may find them with the other aquariums in Entertainment | Misc., or by searching 'minimo
'. Original pricing.
Highest poly runs on any of them is about ~1,700, all LODs included
