I wanted something characteristically Tokyo-like residential in my gameplay, and since I haven't found anything like these to download, I decided to build and share them. These uncomfortably tight, narrow rentals show every elements that I like in Japanese city builds: outdoor staircases, brick or tile exterior panels, corner balconies, corner windows, chaotic arrangements of AC units and different types of windows, and of course, bicycle racks and red traffic cones everywhere. They are not pretty buildings - no one says they are - but they are characteristic and typical, and that's what I need.

Both buildings are Late Night EP-type apartments: the first floor / groundfloor is a public area (furnished as shops with skill objects); on the second floor is the active sims' unit, the third floor is for the darkened NPC unit. The fourth /top floor is decorative only, no one can live there. Both apartments are 1 BR 1 BA only, enough for a couple or two family members; the kitchen unit is very small (I tried to scale it tiny to be authentic), and the toilets are separated from the bathrooms. In one of the buildings the bedroom has sleeping bags ("futons") instead of regular double bed, but if you want a double bed, there is enough room for that. (It's interesting to use sleeping bags instead of bed, but I've got used to it quickly. Teens receive a positive moodlet from it, and it's a creative fun to find other locations for woohoo.)

Water Lily Rentals (the pale yellow one):
Size: 15 x 20
Furnished: 25,791
Unfurnished: 4,853
Flower shop on the first floor with a drafting table (Ambitions EP). Regular double bed. Staircase and mailbox inside the building.

Willow Leaves Rentals (the peachy colored one):
Size: 15 x 20
Furnished: 25,439
Unfurnished: 4,999
Store with household cleaning products on the first floor, equipped with a chemistry station (Generations EP). Sleeping bags. Staircase and mailbox outdoor, the newspaper is dropped by the mailbox (in my game).
UPDATE WARNING: I noticed during my gameplay that the non-active sim who lives there (when I play on another lot) is stuck right below the outdoor stairs and can't come out because of the fence. Perhaps in low-detail mode, that point has become a reset point? It that happens to your non-active sim, it may cause lag! So to prevent this, please bulldoze one or two portions of the fence below the entrance stairs. Apologies for the trouble, it seems that routing playtest with active households cannot reveal all problems that can happen with non-active, low-detail mode households.

Both lots are playtested (with active households). No CC, no Stuff Packs needed, but I used one piece of Store item which is free: K2 Ivy plant - this is decorative only, and if you don't have it, the lots would work without it anyway. EPs necessary for both lots: World Adventures, Late Night, Seasons, Ambitions, Generations, Showtime, University Life, Island Paradise.

Lot Size: 15x20
Lot Price (furnished): 25,439
Lot Price (unfurnished): 4,999
