I had massive lags in city living festivals except geek con. e.g. when I sent one of my sims to spice festivals, everyone just stood around and did nothing for hours then the fps dropped down. And when I got him to return home, the time rolled back to before I'd sent him to the festival. I wonder if my game got glitched or did it happen to anyone else?

This happened to me as well and that's the exact reason I looked up this mod...

Thank you, because the other ones i tried made the lag worse. Looking forward to revving sims up later tonight and hoping my lag and sims standing around will be fixed...was getting fed up with groups of sims at public places standing around doing nothing all the time :lovestruc

I've been using this mod for a long time now (both this and the previous one made by another user), sometimes questioning if it really does anything or if it is just placebo, but after the last update my game doesn't seem to want to work at all with it installed (given i do have a bunch of other potentially outdated mods). Now, it may just be some incompatibility between some other mod and this one, but after removing this one game started up normally again, so it leaves me to think that this may be the culprit. Regardless, is there any empirical way to check if the mod even helps at all?

Is anyone getting a LastException with this installed? I've gotten a couple and I think it's because of this mod (as it references simulation lag or something similar in the file) I am using the latest version from the comments in post #289.

Thanks a lot for this mod! I don't know if this is a compatibility problem or else, but everytime my sims try to do the dishes and throw away the garbage they doesn't seem to do anything for sim hours and I have to reset them sometimes. Do you think these problems come from this mod?

I have the same issue. I reinstalled the game, removed ALL mods, and tested it. Result:standard lag.
I put all my mods except this one back in. Result: Standard Lag
I put this one in on its own and I had issues. Sims sitting on the toilet for hours, Collecting dishes and then standing there for hours. Some times I have to reset the sim and the item. And another odd thing, if they are stood with dishes or waiting to clear them and experience the dreaded lag, they leave behind a little ash pile to clean up??

Be sure every trash can are reachable, but also the plates that needs to be cleaned up.

Sims have the ability to put down dishes on a lot of places, but are not always able to grab them back from it, specially from the shelves. When the "clean up" routine starts, sims look for every empty plates/glasses/etc on the lot, they see (for example) there is a plate overthere on that shelf, they try to find a path to reach it, again and again (lag), but finally to prevent an infinite loop, the script stops searching, they can't find a proper way and the "clean up" routine just stops, and as they have something in the hands, they finally get rid of it by merely putting it down. In general, everything that have interraction with, but aren't reachable, create these kind of glitchy lags/infinite loop. If it concerns you, a solution is to remove the shelves, or to fill the holes on it to prevent sims from putting plates, glasses, (etc) on it.

Not that it will prevent all weird behaviors, Maxis's IA has lots of holes, knowing that pattern could smooth some things though.

Also I have the feeling that building things in the build-mode kind of create holes, as if the IA lose track midway, as if the game was not reconstructing lot's objects database properly, resulting with sims not able to interract with everything there is anymore, resulting with weird behaviors. A "fix" for that is relaunching the game, zoning might also work (can't really tell, I don't zone a lot, loading times are too boring). It's just a guess, it sometimes happen, but not everytime you build things.

I am. My game is up to date, I have all the expansions and some CC and whatnot but whenever I read the LE file, it references this mod as well.
I am using the latest StrangerVille version.

It's not damaged, you just need to redownload. This website always botches the download.

Use Peazip then instead if that happens. Sometimes 7-zip won't let you unpack a file for whatever reason. Got this myself a few times. Peazip does open them.

It doesn't look like this mod is being supported anymore. I'm not seeing any updates since August 2018. As of November 2018 all script mods that haven't been updated to the newest Python version are going to be broken, this one included.
