Hi everyone ,

Rug of the series commissioned by Louis XIV at the Manufacture Royale de la Savonnerie for the Grand Gallery of the Louvre Palace.
This rug corresponds to the thirteenth, woven in the workshops of Dupont in 1673. It is adorned at its center with a large cartouche with four quivers and arches alternating with torches. Both ends are decorated with fake reliefs representing Abundance and Peace.
