NekoCat from ModTheSims has a scenic world up for grabs. It is a pretty big world that is very detailed including lots, so it might take the higher specs, or deleting some of the lots to play as NekoCat mentions.

Fuzzy Logic Dishwasher has taken the warehouse from Riverview and converted it to a furniture store. The purpose is mainly for movie/story making. Your sims can visit but they can't actually walk up to a cash register and pull out their pixelated credit card lol. Nonetheless they can go fiddle round on the lot.
If your sims prefer a baby carriage instead of a crib, well then they might like this one. =D It comes in several different colors/patterns. Stop by Arte Della Vita and grab your lil' simmies one.

Even your simmehs that don't like the outdoors might be more inclined to go outside with this uber cool set of recolorable pretties over at Vita Sims. Looks like about 16 items included. Several lounge chairs/couches, decor, table and more. Had to grab this one for my simmehs!
Custom Sims 3 has lots of goodies to grab! Including wall shelves by Jynx that are stackable along with floor shelves that are stackable with quite a few slots. With this mod by HugeLunatic from ModTheSims, you can now haz off the grid rugs, rugs at a diagonal, and rugs that don't sink into the ground! Very cool especially with the stepping stones rug from Family Fun Stuff. They can now stand up out of the ground the way they are supposed to.
Around the Sims has a neat school theme set up for grabs. A lot of objects like you might find in different classrooms. Looks like 22 plus objects included.
Mustluvcatz from ModTheSims has some cool (or hot) chimneys up for grabs. These are decorative and come in 12 colors. There are three stackable pieces to this set so you easily use them with different levels up to three stories.
