I am so happy to have something in the challenge. Its just a little recolour so I dont have high hopes for it. But it was enough to have it accepted and I got a new icon. YAY

Ive been playing around with Simpe and texturing lately. Simpe has only been something I use to fix my sims so this was all new for me. For the longest time I wanted to do something with a Southwest flair. I was going to do some lots, and townhomes which I still may do. But for now I did some Carpet recolours. I think they came out fairly nice and do have that look. Well really its thanks to Echo who did the hard work on the rug mesh and was generous enough to allow us to recolour. But they came out good enough for me to upload and they got accepted! I was kind of gratified since I never did anything in this area before. Maybe I will do some other decorative piece to go along with the rugs.

I was looking at the promos and I have to say, it could be very exciting. But only IF it works as they say it does.
Basically, they still havent even solved some of the problems faced in Sims2. They let the modding Community just handle it for them. So how can something as complex as Sims 3 be expected to run as planned.
Hopefully they will kill some of the more annoying aspects of Sims 2 and not carry them over.
Like some of the gestures that are so annoying in Sims 2 and unrealistic. How many people start playing kicky ball with someone they just met. And what the heck is kicky ball anyway? I never heard of it till Sims. Oh and Body Shop is a disaster. Why do they have to smile and twist theyre mouths and eyes when Im trying to fix them. Its Soooooo irritating

And they are supposedly giving them intelligence enough to be socially correct. No more relaxing on your neighbors bed the minute you walk in? I.m hoping they are at least smart enough not to pee themselves while standing outside a perfectly good bathroom. Or my all time favorite *NOT* behaviour. Shoving and fighting with someone you just met cause your relationship is still at 0.

Anyways, I wont go on cause I could fill alot of pages. If Sims 3 does nothing but get rid of the annoyances already in Sims 2, I would be happy.

At least I hope so. I have a couple of ideas in mind. In between building real estate I have been tweaking some of my Sims. Maybe one of these days I'll try uploading them.

I am most likely going to try something for the Challenge. Mostly just for the fun of it. So far I have no idea what I would do

Sometimes I feel like making some small, unfurnished lots. Just typical homes you would find in average neighborhoods. Not totally starter, but cheap. It's just that there seems to be so many of them already.

I havent entered in any of the challenges yet. One reason being I am not a modder or simmer. The children's theme can be difficult to me. There's not a whole lot of kid's stuff that I like. And I wouldnt create any that would make a difference.

Well I may consider it just to say I participated for a change. I finished the third lot of the Apartment Living series and I think it came out pretty good.
So now I have to decide if I will do the 4th and last one. It was going to be a somewhat complicated lot and would take me time.

I was just wondering about this. What is so wrong with having a request forum? I can't do much besides make lots. But I would love to see what people are looking for and try to make it happen.

If there is one and I dont know about it, wellt then just nevermind. But I could think of alot of things I would like to see in Sims. Alot of very generous creators offer their talents, and try to fulfull requests. I just think its a good idea.

And the other not allowed thing is for a member to suggest something should be featured. Why? There are countless times that I have seen such amazing creations that werent featured. And I think - How in the world did this get overlooked. I think a voting process of some sort would be fair. But there are people that would try to vote for their own stuff I suppose.

The picked uploads is sorta peoples choice. But its not perfect. I know that Thanks figure into the calculation. But the ratio of DL to thanks is sometimes extremely low. Sure people can forget but most of the time people that dont thank, just dont bother. And Thanks is an important statistic for a creator. We vote for contests, so why not?

So thats my thought. Im not sure if anyone has expressed any interest but Im afraid to!!!!!!!! Its Not Allowed, right?

So I finally had some time to play AL. To be honest, I wasnt all that thrilled. I like some of the effects like the spiral stairs and ceilings. The witch stuff is as stupid as the vampires and is not something I would bother with.
I didnt get Pets. Even though I love animals and have alot of irl pets, I dont want my Sims spending every spare moment caring for them. When I played it at my husbands house if you werent chasing strays you had to entertain your own pets or wash them or feed them. Too much work

Oh so back to AL. I have always been a big fan of multiple familys on one lot. Ive made my own 2 family houses that were pre AL. The only problem was the Sims dont know they shouldnt cook on each others stoves or sponge bathe in their kitchen. Thanks to Inge, I got some targetable doors and that helped. But they would stand outside with the pot and have a fit. So I had to DL some type of No Fit Hack. Its funny though

Well with AL they can live their own lives. What bothers me is the restrictions on building the apartments. I would like to convert some of my "two family houses" to Apts. It wont let me do that on occupied lots. Plus, I hate the disappearing furniture. Thats pointless.

I started uploading some Apt Life Lots. Basically, I converted some of my Building Lots. I just wanted to get a feel for it before I dedicated alot of time and effort. I think that I prefer the townhouse look rather then the Apartment Building. Probably I will do one more Apt Building just to complete. Maybe something modern with balconeys.

I think i am finished with the mediterranean series. I did want to include 3 starters. The lots would be cute. I just got back from Puerto Rico and I would make them similar to some I saw there. Im not sure what to do yet. I am anxious to do some Apartment lots. First I would like to PLAY AL. I havent had a chance to do that yet
