I'm thinking of trying my hand at making custom skin tones but, erm, I don't really know where to begin. I know how to use BodyShop, I have a good photo-editing program, and all that, but now I have a large collection of the maxis default skin tones and misc ideas swimming around in my head and I just don't know where to start with actually altering the files.
I think I have 3 problems:
1. I'm totally daunted by the idea.
2. I don't know what I should do first (i.e. which age/gender would be a good starting point, if I should do something to the files before I begin).
3. How am I supposed to know what part of what picture changes what?
I suppose I could use some advice from someone who's done this before and/or a good tutorial, lol.
