Hi All,
As you all know Mod the Sims 2 is a place to teach and share user-made custom content for The Sims 2. In the space of a year and a-half, we have grown tremendously and the knowledge of the ins and outs of our beloved game is incredibly amazing.
Game players have shared such talents in the form of movies. Sites such as Sims99 and Sim Movies and our Sim movies forum on Sims 2 Community have been outlets for our members to show off what they can do. However, there is a difference between movies that are made with the Sims 2 game, and normal videos just resized down to fit the Sims 2 TV.
In the light of recent movements by the music industry, we have decided that 1 week from this post ALL uploads that are in the Electronics Additional Programming forum will be removed and the section shut down.
While we appreciate the work that has gone into converting music videos and uploading them to MTS2, it is hoped you understand the reasons.
We have additionally made the decision to not allow any movies of any kind (in-game made or not) on MTS2. In Game made movies (similar to those you would find at sims99) are only allowed in the Sim Movies section of http://www.sims2community.com/ We feel that this is in the best interests and continuing development of the site.
