View Full Version : MTS2 Update - September changes
Delphy
1st Sep 2006, 11:10 AM
Hi All,
Just a quick status message regarding the site.
Firstly, the overall bandwidth MTS2 has per month has been increased to 18,600GB (that's a whopping 18.6 terabytes), and due to this the fileserver is now ramped back up to full speed and hopefully we shouldn't see any more bandwidth overages.
Secondly, I've added compatibility icons for Family Fun Stuff, Glamour Life Stuff and Pets (internally, not active yet - for obvious reasons), so uploaders - please make sure you indicate if a Stuff Pack is needed.
Thirdly, for those of you with customised profile screens, I've added a field that allows you to "name" your profile area with a title of your choice. This could be the same as your journal or something totally different - it's up to you. It's found in the Edit Profile area.
Fourthly, I've added the Stuff Packs to the Games Purchased section, except it's down the bottom of the Edit Profile area. Please update your games bought :)
Lastly, thanks for everybodies patience in dealing with the slow downloads lately. We basically ran out of bandwidth (MTS2 is very popular) and had to put restrictions on the fileserver until the upgrades could go through.
Thanks for using MTS2!
Regards
Delphy

Okay so...
When you get NO downloads people complain
When you get SLOW downloads, people still complain.
Sorry guys but I'd rather have slow than none at all.
More people downloading = less per person. So either you get slow downloads, no downloads, or a huge wait between downloads.
Guess you all would prefer I just turn downloads off totally or have them completely unusable huh...

Oh gosh I feel really bad now.... i wasnt trying to complain at all. I guess I just assumed it was some sort of error that the downloads were going the speed at which they were since they went so much faster before. I was just trying to let you know.

I found out that it isn't just some mistake with our individual settings or something. Apparently the instant email notification is down for everyone for awhile. It sure was convenient while we had it but we can still pull down the "User Tools" menu at the top right of the page and choose "subscribed threads" to get links to every thread we want to keep up with.
All in all MTS2 is awsome, isn't it? As a creator I'm learning new stuff here all the time.

Hi All,
Just a quick status message regarding the site.
Regards
Delphy
