Sims 2 Community v2 launches!

Hi All,

Some of you may be familiar with the MTS2 sister site, Sims 2 Community. It split off from MTS2 about 15 months ago, and has grown into a busy place with contests, stories, chat and general discussion.

Before today, however, when you visited http://www.sims2community.com/ you got taken to the forums. All this is now changed... from now on the main homepage is a news / articles / cool stuff / whatever we want resource centre, for all your Simming needs.

We'll be showcasing the best in Sims 2 Finds from all over the web, keeping up on the latest information from Maxis, cool project happenings and more.

Access to the main S2C forums is still available through http://forums.sims2community.com/

We hope you like the revamp - comments and feedback are appreciated. :)

I am basically an MTS fan and very rarely check out the other sister sites but when you said "showcase sims2 finds" I went straigt to check out the new look! Also, I really loved LyricLee's pictures of the GLS stuff! She had some patientce! Thank you for everything you people do for sims adicted people like me. :)

I really can't believe how many giant steps MTS2 has taken since lift-off. I applaud Delphy and his team for their efforts.

Anyway, it's really great. I was super impressed and surprised when I expected to happen upon the usual page. It's obvious the effort put into it, and it rocks. :D

It really looks great! But I really miss an "About"-page! I can't seem to grasp what the new www.sims2community-page is about, I'm thrown into news and finds (what are they for?) and links to modthesims2 and the fora and a possibility to register.. among those menu-options, About (about the site, about sims2community.. or something alike) should be! If it's really thought to be the new main page of this entire fantastic community!

Love Delphy, you're doing a great great job, can't tell you how much it means to very many people, never feel unappreciated!

Of course it's an ordinary design. Why go for flash or funky layouts? The idea is to present news and finds and in that respect you do not want something that is unreadable. You want something easy on the eyes that anybody can browse. Then again, pretty much any web developer worth his salt knows that, so.... I'll give you 1/10 for that remark. :)
