Please Help!!!!

I have been trying to remove items from my game by using the in game delete option. It asks if you are sure you want to perm. delete from game cause it will be deleted from your computer. Wellllllll, not in my case. Every item I delete be it an object or skin items, I get 2 problems.

1. When i try to delete a skin it goes away at first but when I restart my game the items are back like I never deleted them, so I do it again and get the same result.

2. When I go to the buy mode and find something I want to delete I do not get the delete trash can so I can either remove the whole item or just some of the recolors. I know that they are custom because they have the custom content star.

I never had this problem before and in the 3 years I have been playing TS2 I have not seen a post addressing this kind of problem.

I am trying to clean out my game and am getting VERY frustrated. :(

You can also use the Sims2Categorizer from SimWardrobe to delete recolors and meshes as well as Clean Installer http://www.simwardrobe.com/

I've noticed this as well and in my case I was able to trace it back to a lot I had downloaded. It included some build mode custom content. Until I deleted the lot entirely the build mode items in question showed back up after exiting and restarting the game. Every time.

Thanks everyone, I have tried the sim2categorizer but all my items came up with a pink question mark, therefore I couldn't see what the items were to delete them and I get real confused when it comes to the simpe and clean installer because of the layout being all flat, I can't figure out what the items are or I get a plain color picture of the item.

This is getting really really annoying. I really love TS2 but with all the problems that occur for various reasons I have about had it.
