Sims no longer able to throw parties.

This is yet another problem I have. My sim just graduated from college and cannot throw a graduation party. Again, it's not due to a hack, the problem isn't fixed when I move the downloads folder out. Help, please.

Are you trying to throw the graduation party while the sim is still at college before the 3 days are up?

Yes.

At the moment, the sim in question is back in the neighborhood (I got a little fed up and moved her back), but the other members of her Greek House can't throw parties of any sort, the "Throw Party" option on the phone isn't there.

Sounds like a stuck party.
I think Pescado's Lot Debugger has a fix in it.

I downloaded it. I have no clue how to delete the token or what many of the options are. And can Sims have a party memory if they've never had a party in their entire life?

Have you tried testing to make sure it isn't a conflict with custom content? Backup your game and go through the steps in this faq: http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139718 Please let us know how it goes.

Yes, I went through the entire FAQ yesterday with my other problem, and sorted my downloads today. Still no dice.

Then I'd try Pescado's lot debugger unfortunately I've never used it so I'm not familiar with how to fix a party. Gwill, could you please shed some light on this?

III. CLEAR STUCK PARTY
Destroys the party controller, which can become corrupted and result in the inability to hold parties, neverending parties, or corrupted party scoring. Any currently in progress party is immediately terminated.


Just download the hack. Put the debugger on the lot, click on it; if there is a stuck party, the option to delete it will appear.
