Hi Everybody!
I read somewhere that you can use cars from need for speed in the sims by importing them in milkshape and exporting them ........
and than I don't know!
Does anybody know how this works?
and how I can do that?
thanks

Err, well, there's a lot more to it than just an import-export. You can use all -sorts- of premade meshes in The Sims 2 and there are hundreds of websites around to download furniture, cars, and all kinds of things. But the problem is actually getting it to work in the game. Car meshes are extremely complicated, and you have to know how to do properly animated meshes, among many other things, to get cars working. They're awfully fiddly. From your previous posts, I don't think you're quite advanced to that point yet. Keep working on static object meshes, and save the cars for later, once you can mesh simple stuff in your sleep. ;)

A point not to forget is that the NFS-cars meshes are copyrighted.

It's not illegal for personal use. You can not distribute the material in a Mod.
It is possible, but you will need an importer for the file type Need for speed uses for the mesh. Than you will need to get rid of alot on unnessary stuff and bring the poly count way down for Sim not to complain about. As Hysterical said, it's complicated for animated cars to import. I for now only can do simple stuff. I have Modded ships for Star Trek Legacy and Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, but that is because I have all the tools to export them to the right formats.
Anita82, keep checking tutorials out and eventually you will be modding with no sweats. :) Persistant is the key.
