Hopefully those with the skills will read this and beable to brain storm a fix if possible...
It seems the new extremes for temperature only effect the original Sim Skin tones. (Freezing to death and spontanious Combustion) also not yet checked the turning blue n red also only with Sims default skins.
Hope there is a cure for I have returned to base skins and forgot how bad they were :)

That's not really surprising, seeing as custom skins often have textures over the top of them. However, I'm sure that any new skins that are made with Seasons will have the recolourable option of sunburn and freezing. Well, at least I hope they do :P

Custom skins don't have things overtop of them... Custom skins do have some differences from defaults but... It's not surprising that custom skins don't work right with those types considering that custom skins were broken for Werewolves in Pets. Either Maxis will patch it or, like with the werewolf custom skins, we'll see a user patch for it soon, if it's user-fixable. :)

Thanks for the feedback, though besides the skin colour change the catching on fire and freezing to death are also suspended by skins... could be seen as a positive :P

Hmmm it seems only a few custom skins seem to not work, I am not to too clear what may make the difference but sofar I am freezing sims to death with different defaults in some morbid test, may not be all skins and I will try to contact the creators of the ones that seem to not work..

well unable to recreate the issues mentioned. All Mods save the change to the default skins where removed, as well as a few custom skins. As far as I can tell may of been anther CC error that created the issue, or a handful of skins may have issues, but over all All seem to work fine now the burn they freeze.
If anyone else notices this should post it here, otherwise let this drop to the bottom of the list.

Actually, if you can please post a list of links to some skins that work here on this thread, and some skins that don't, I would appreciate it. Many skin creators are -just- skin creators and may reply with, "Uhh, I don't know, I just made it, dunno why it doesn't change," while I (or another person who's fairly well versed with the nuts and bolts of Body Shop genetics) could open the files and see if there are differences between them that could point to a method for "fixing" skins that do not work properly.

From what I have found. All custom skins seem to allow freezing (The custom skin has a bluegrey colour added and they 'lockup and fall over')
'Death from freezing' only happened once with a none custom skin (ie suddenly on the second time a sim froze he died even though his motives where green) All other sim deaths due to Freezing where because they did not thaw out in time and motives killed them. The chance of 'death by freezing' is a low random number and if forced by cheats I do not know a)currently how to. and b) if forcing it will make it happen with custom skins anyway.
So my study for True Death from freezing is inconclusive.
as for Spontaneous Combustion, put a sim on a treadmill and maxmotives or lock them and they burn up custom or no custom. Did not have it in a summer test to see if the skin reddens or not, but assuming from the greying of cold skin works I would guess the redding would too will know later.
My original issue the skins did not seem to grey nor did they seem to freeze, may of been due to not actually having the body temp change due to a CC conflict. this test was done ALL CC's removed.
I may of jumped the gun here but I hope my earnest in tracking down the issue makes up for the 'crying wolf' I may of done.
still only a noob to this all.

I have to say this:
While looking for textures from Seasons, for my just uploaded UpDoo&Ponytail Banks, I saw atleast two(2) textures. One was red,and in certain places,it was redder than other places (chest, arms, back,I beleive), and im pretty sure the blue one was all over.
This shouts to me: OVERLAY! Like vamps, while I dont use many custom skins,Im 99.999% sure ive seen custom skins that have 'frozen' look overr at S2C, Seasons...
While it may only work for certain tones,I was correct in thinking that it would work as Overlay
EDIT---------
I can confirm that at least one of HP's newest skins work as freezing.
I have the default of it,and my sim turned blue-well,more of an ashy colour, she was s4 tone
