What Makes Doors 'Flip' Back & Forth?

I want to know because I have been struggling with making a "backwards" garage
door.... I ran into a shadow problem, it was a problem because the garage door,
(which in SimPe is in the door category) DOESN'T flip back and forth when
you are placing it the way other doors do...

I wondered for a long time how to change the indoor/outdoor shadow on the
garage door itself - and posted for help and no one ever answered :cry: - jk
(no biggie 'cause I think twas because nobody really had an answer for me.)

Anyhow... now I'm wondering if maybe a way to go might be - if it's possible -
to take whatever 'property' is in the door that enables flippage and somehow
get it into the garage door too .... so that a backwards version is as easy as
placing any other door...

I really don't need detailed information... just if in general it might be
possible... then I'll investigate further....

(I'm actually in the middle of another project, but I wrote a journal entry
about the garage door and re-read it a minute ago and this idea of "importing
the flip property" popped into my head...)
