View Full Version : Sharp edges

I decided I wanted to edit the pink baggy pants mesh (under female adult) and made a new mesh package in SimPe, edited it in Milkshape 1.8.0 (imported it and exported it using UniMesh V4.08), but when I went to look at it in Body Shop the edges where the front and back meet were very sharp. I thought I caused it by editing it in Milkshape, but when I did for the second time without editing it in Milkshape it did the same thing.

Am I doing something wrong here? (I have edited a few meshes before this one, and they did not have this problem). :blink:

Any help would be appreciated :)

You've either used the Autosmooth checkbox or done Smooth All at some point. Don't do either one. That'll cause sharp lines at the seams like what you're describing. Start over and only use the Align Normals plugin (stickied in the plugins for Unimesh sticky at the top of this forum) if you need to fix normals.

The Autosmooth checkbox was checked :o

I unchecked it, it seems to be working now.

Thanks =D
