Hi everyone,

I have used SimPE many times before Seasons to make default skintones. When i would open the file in SimPE i could clearly read all TXTR names clearly labelled as am-em-pm- e.t.c you know what i mean.

Today i wanted to use SimPE to recolor a Dark skintone (not make a default just recolor) but i run into a problem. There are no TXTR names just random numbers(see pic). Although i can recognise most of the files i don't feel safe doing it because i want to be 100% of what i'm changing. Apart from that there are only 23 ( if i recall) TXTR files there when there should be 33 (if i recall).

Could this be caused because i have defaults in game while making this?

Could it be Seasons causing this?

Could it be that i did that while i had bodyshop open? ( i just copied the saved files on my desktop to open them with SimPE)

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Corvi

try taking the defaults out, if that doesn't work come back and I'll go try and hunt up more info.

The number of TXTRs in a skintone can vary depending on whether certain ages and fitness levels share tones. Anywhere from around 16-34 is normal, I think.

I've never seen texture names on a skintone TXTR. If you're stuck, though, you can always look at the Material Definitions to see what's what - those are labeled by age and gender and will point you to the TXTR they use.

Thank you both. I haven't had the chance to go back to doing this again since yesterday but i'll try again and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the help :-)
