How do I modify cc pictures in catalog?

I understand that cc that has no mesh may appear starred as a Maxis creation instead. However, on some of the hairstyles that I have downloaded, they appear as a Maxis creation with a star, BUT, if I click on them, I see that it is the custom content -- it just has the wrong hairstyle icon associated with it. I can use them and they play fine in the game. However, I would like to have my icons to show what the content really is. How can I fix this?

I do believe that they are "recolours" of maxis hairstyles.

Hold down shift (or is it control? I forget) and right click on the thumbnail.
