On Saturday, my family bought a new computer. It has Vista home edition, 3 gigs of Ram, and AMD Athalon 64 TX Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.80 GHz. I installed all my sims games (all expansion and stuff packs) The game loads just fine, and goes to the neighborhood screen. Because my computer is capable of high graphic quality, I went in to change it so the detail would be high. When I click on "Families" (or anything else after applying the changes), the game crashes. I've searched google but I haven't found anything similar to this happening. Any idea what I should do?

Have you followed the instructions in the clickthrough you read before posting?

That's... very odd, because your specs should be able to handle the game - corrupted lots can cause Lot bin crashes, but this happening with all the other bins too... Does it only happen when you change settings? If so, can you change the settings, then quit straight away?

Yes. Well, I tried just trying to create a family but the fuzzyness was really bothering me, and we have a 20" monitor so it makes everything 10x fuzzier. Anyways! In family mode, I went to change them, then all the walls/CAS screen walls turned into a code and then it crashed when I tried to leave the graphics section.
I will try changing the settings and then quitting.

Oi, I tried changing the settings then quitting like you said. It worked! ... until I hit the family button.
