I'm not trying to delete their gibberish or anything, I'm just wondering if there is a tutorial for changing their voices--swapping one adult male voice to another/swapping voice for genders and age groups. I've searched the database along with yahoo/google/search engine #127436543, but all threads are left without answers or people asking if this was even possible. Please help!
As an example: giving a female sim a male voice and vice versa, or giving a high-pitched female sim a deeper female voice.
Thankyou for any consideration.

Well, I know you can't use the voice from one age group for another age group - I had tried recently to change the voice of an adult male sim to that of an elder male sim and it just didn't work or change anything. However, I have heard that it's possible to change within an age group as you wish to do - find a sim with the voice you want, copy their voice info, and paste it on the sim you want to change, commit, save - I'm not sure -exactly- where that info is in SimPE but I know it comes up when you do the Neighborhood Browser and then Sim Browser - it's on one of the info screens for an individual sim. I think toward one of the end ones and it doesn't look like an actual info blank - doesn't look like it's editable but it should say something about voice somethingorother, and it should be editable.

Thankyou so much for the quick reply! I was really confused because I couldn't find anything in the individual sim section, but after clicking more and the extended details, I found a field called voice type. Is that the right field? I've changed it but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
