Is the a patch for FreeTime bodyshop as mine will not let me access the child athletic wear bin in bodyshop yet you can buy athletic clothes for children at the shops and change their athletic wear in wardrobes so why can't you create it?

Is the a known problem or is it just me?
I have all the expansions upto and including freetime but none of the stuff packs
I have also installed the freetime patch

BodyShop does not have an athletic category for kids. :( EA doesn't feel like fixing this.

You CAN use SimPE to recategorize clothing (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=281025) as athletic wear or everyday or what have you. You can also use the Wardrobe Wrangler (http://www.djssims.com/index.php?category=1&subcat=5) for the same purpose, I hear it's easier than SimPE.

If you want to recolor athletic clothes, you'll need to categorize them as Everyday first, then use BodyShop to make recolors, then recategorize the recolors as athletic.

If you know the name of the outfit, do a namemap search for it. Try making a sim in CAS in debug mode to see outfit names, I think.

quick question about custom clothes: Do I need to change the guild of clothes to prevent them from over writing existing clothes with the same guild

If you are using BodyShop, you don't need to worry about GUIDs at all.
If you are using SimPE, you have to start with BodyShop anyway.

- make a recolor of some Maxis clothing of the same age and gender and outfit type (bottom, top, body)
- edit the package with SimPE to use whatever mesh you want
- replace the textures with Build DXT
- change the clothing category to athletic in the GZPS

Again, you don't need to worry about the GUID. If you haven't done the process outlined above before, read the introductory clothing meshing tutorials.

Changing category to athletic is covered in Phaenoh's categorizing tutorial, look in the big list of tutorials or at Phaenoh's page. Or use Wardrobe Wrangler for that part.
