I've been meaning to do this for a while, but never got round to it for some reason. :) Anyway, I know how a lot of you are interested in statistics, so I thought I'd share some with you all:

First off, pageviews (from Google Analytics):


Dec 1 to Dec 31: 6,205,345 + 47,369,188 = 53,574,533
Jan 1 to Jan 31: 6,574,914 + 52,490,785 = 59,065,699


Next, new user registrations:

Dec 1 to Dec 31: 89,011 new members
Jan 1 to Jan 31: 91,989 new members


Bandwidth used:

Dec 1 to Dec 31: 19.7T
Jan 1 to Jan 31: 20.9T


Thanks per day:

Dec 1 to Dec 31: 14,197 thanks per day avg
Jan 1 to Jan 31: 15,155 thanks per day avg


New download threads:

Number of posts (total):

How about some Downloads per Upload by user (average) / by upload (total) figures?

Those registration numbers are HUGE. I wouldn't have imagined that with Sims 3 supposedly just around the corner, there'd still be that many new users...or maybe they're signing up anticipating Sims 3. Anyway, HUGE.

How about percentage of users who donate? I'd also be interested in knowing how donators compare to non-donators in terms of per-user downloading habits.

Is there any tracking of which creators have been added to favorites lists? If so, I'd be interested in seeing how that list would compare to the downloads and thanks lists.

jadin, The percentage of users who donate is going to be *very* low (less than 1%) - don't think thats really that meaningful. :)

In terms of "how many downloads for X" - remember that the database only stores 30 days of downloads, so I can't go back futher than this.

pbox: I have no idea what you mean by that request. Can you explain it a bit more? :)

Why am I strangely facinated by this? All I can say is: stuff sims 3 delays, with so many great creations, MTS2 is the new Sims 3 as far as I'm concerned :D

How about most and least downloaded/uploaded catogory. It would be interesting to see differences in 'supply/demand'.

I am totally impressed by your stats' figures. I would never imagine MTS2 could have more than 90'000 new members in a month !

As one of the 4,500 active creators I see that we can all keep on creating anything good that comes out of imagination... few or more, there always will be someone to download and have fun with our creations.

I am not surprised, and very happy, that Numenor is the first creators on many of your stats' lists : He is the most creative and his work really increases the possibilities we have to enjoy the game. And more of it he is a very helpful and very nice person, so his success is fully diserved.

I would not be surprised if, soon or later, you Delphy and your site appear in the Guiness Book of Records (truly!).

Problem with views is that it counts multiple page views - so it's not 5.5 million people but a lot less viewing multiple times.

Guardgian, I highly doubt we could ever get into any records :)

Yummy, yummy numbers! Will you be keeping track of Sims2 and Sims3 stats separately? If so, I would be interested in those. Would like to know, a few months from now, how many folks still download Sims2 stuff. I'm hoping interest in Sims2 remains strong.

Cat, I dont have seperate numbers for TS2 or TS3, and probably wont. It's hard to track since it's both the same script.

You can sort of do that for yourself anyway by looking at the dates of the items that are on the top downloads list. If it was made before June 2009, it is definitely a Sims 2 item. If it was made after that, the name might give a clue about which game it was meant for, especially if the data could show the category that the item was listed in.

And if you really have to know, you could always check the thread for anything you couldn't figure out.
