New Vegetables

So the one thing I've looked everywhere is new vegetables that I can grow in seasons. I know there is no request page so I want to learn how to do this on my own. I know that the vegetables are used in basic cooking as well as in making juice and that certain combination of vegetables create bonuses so am I wondering if I have to create an entirely new object or if it would just be a mesh? I've played the game since the beginning and I download A LOT of custom content so it is only natural that I evolve. Any Suggestions as to what I'd be doing so I know which thread to start studying?

The growable crops are... tricky. They're all hard-coded into the "dirt" that you plant seeds into, so to make them work the same was as existing crops you'd have to hack that dirt to include them.

Alternatively, you can try what some others have done, which is to create a new, second dirt patch which contains your crops.

Either way, there's a bit of BHAV hacking to be done. :)
