Mod The Sims - What did you do with the Strangetown characters?

Brilliant idea creating the Common Threads area, Hysterical Paroxysm, it will make finding these common, though delightful, topics all the easier.

Gee Gali, you think the Curious brothers are ugly? All of them? I found Pascal to be rather handsome once I changed his nerdly hair and clothes, and I'm a bloke who doesn't ordinarily look at other blokes in that manner.

Oh wow, Moondragon! You'd have General Buzz commit murder? I'd love to hear about that! If you plan to upload it as a story, do tell me about it, for I would love to read it!

Anyway, as for the question, Strangetown is by far my favourite neighbourhood, and the characters are so interesting that I have no desire to make CAS characters to put in the town. I did however use the tutorial by SaraMK for merging Maxis Neighbourhoods (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,4480.0.html) and combined Strangetown with Pleasantview, as the gene pool of either neighbourhood could potentially become rather small in two or three generations.

Anyway, I tend to follow the wants of the characters above all else, so the effects surprised me at times. Thus far, this is what has occured:

Grunts-Tank continued to bully Ripp whenever my attention was elsewhere, so I hastily built his skills up and moved him to the University, but not before he got into two fights with Johnny Smith. Tank won the first one, but Johnny built up his body skill and won the next one.

Ripp thrived without Tank's abuses, but unfortunately, bore the brunt of General Buzz's wrath when I was busy having Buck build his skills. Buck was taught to study by Ripp after Buzz grudgingly taught Ripp and Tank. The only way I've found to keep Buzz from abusing either Buck or Ripp was to keep him busy at skill building, or with the electric guitar (that is more addicting that SIM Crack I suspect). Unfortunately, Buzz died when I drove him too hard and he fell asleep whilst cooking and burned to death. Ripp supported Buck until they were both teens, at which time I sent them to college to join Tank, who I had not played during this time, and so all three Grunt brothers went through college together. Oddly enough, once in college, Tank no longer bullied Ripp and the two become the best of friends, and both brothers seemed to adore Buck, and got on with him. They all graduated together Summa Cum Laude. Buck is attracted to Lucy Burb from Pleasantview, while Ripp seems to like Lazlo Curious (unrequited, as Lazlo doesn't seem to notice him) and Tank got into a fight with Dustin Broke over Angela Pleasant. Lilith Pleasant likes to poke, insult and shove Tank on a regular basis.

Ajay Loner- Unfortunately I wasn't a very proficient player when I first started, and Ajay died whilst fixing a broken dishwasher when he was too poor to afford a repairperson. I thought two mechanical points would be enough!

Cloe Curious (Singles)- Went into aspiration failure shortly after I started playing the Singles house and so I had her befriend the maid Remington (I can't remember his last name, as his name is Curious now), and they turned out to have three lighting bolts for each other, so they married shortly thereafter and have a son.

Lola Curious (Singles)-Fell in love with one of my Pleasantview CAS Sims which I created simply because I adore tough warrior women (Matsutoya Tokugawa) and they had three children, the later two being twins. Really, I never thought it would happen, but as soon as they met, they had hearts for one another. Who knew? Lola likes females.

Erin Beaker (Singles)-Called a truce between her and her brother Loki and the two are now very close. Erin later moved in with Loki and Circe and made use of the career reward items there and reached the top of the politics career.

Kristen Loste (Singles)-Is still single, although I've been playing for many sim lifetimes (the characters are generally happy enough to afford Elixir of life coolers every three to four sim weeks or so), and she seems to be satisfied with many friends and her job as a Hall of Famer

Smiths- Jenny and Pollination Technician were drinking ample measures of elixir of life and are still as they were then the game began, Jenny rolled the want to quit her job as a Nurse, and went through many career tracks(she kept wanting to quit her job) and is now a Space Pirate and seems happy with the job. Pollination Tech spends his days making friends for the Smith family and seems to enjoy fishing and growing crops for their meals each day. Jill is currently in college, and Johnny married Ophelia.

Beakers-Loki and Circe both reached the tops of their careers and thankfully haven't been abusing Nervous Subject beyond the occasional teasing or insulting. No human experimentation, YAY! They still go about the neighbourhood stealing newspapers and kicking bins when I'm playing other people's houses.

Nervous Subject-Knowing that Olive is not long for the world when the game begins, I had Nervous build a relationship with his mother by calling her at least daily and inviting her over to the Beaker's house whenever he had a day off from his work on the culinary track. He seemed to thrive once his relationship with Olive and Ophelia improved, and he is now a Celebrity Chef. Because I fulfil all any character's wants (not if Nervous wanted to fight with someone though) Nervous was content enough to work to the top of his career and had enough aspiration points banked to buy his mother Elixir of life once he left the Beakers and moved in with Olive.

Olive Spectre-Still alive as a result of a life saving gift of Elixir of Life from her son Nervous, she is now kept content enough to earn her own Elixirs. She eventually built a good relationship with Ophelia and Johnny as well as their daughter. Although she is still mean to nearly everyone else in the game, she has a special place in her heart for her Grandchildren(Yes, you've heard that right!) and she helps them with their work each day and trains them to be neat.

This brings us to the ever popular Curious brothers, as their story is very much related to the aforementioned families.

Curious-Because of the neighbourhood merge, something happened with Pascal's alien baby, and caused his daughter to be born a human, who looks exactly like Pascal, except that she's female. Shortly after her birth, Nervous turned up at the Curious house. And after Pascal had fed her and put her to bed, they began talking. While I was busy watching Vidcund Vomit after his alien abduction, I heard chimes in the background and upon investigation, I saw Nervous caressing Pascal's Cheek. I thought it was delightful how Maxis seemed to set them up to fall in love without the players intervention! They have three lightning bolts for one another, so I left them to it whilst I built up Vidcund and Lazlo's skills. Whenever Nervous left, Pascal rolled wants to invite him over, so over the three days that Pascal remained home with Hypatia(his alien daughter), Nervous spent the days with him. Several times, Nervous fed Hypatia autonomously, which I thought odd since he's usually such a difficult character as he likes to argue constantly. He was very loving to Hypatia, and since he loved Pascal, I moved him in with the Curiouses for a time. When he rolled the want to get engaged and be married, Pascal accepted and they were married just before Pascal was promoted to Mad Scientist. I don't use many hacks, but I decided to download TwoJeff's Pregnancy for All Genders Hack (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,1198.0.html)to fulfill Nervous's Child want, and they have three biological children of their own now, which are the grandchildren that Olive Spectre dotes over. After the birth of first child, they moved in with Olive. As for Vidcund, he is exceedingly odd, as he seems to be attracted to all of the alien children born to the SIMS in the merged neighbourhood. He is currently married to one named Satsuki. As for Lazlo, I was surprised that he had no lightning bolts for Crystal Vu and wondered what Maxis was thinking putting people together who aren't even attracted to one another, so I allowed them to drift apart. Lazlo showed no interest in anyone until the Pets expansion pack brought Tara Kat. I don't know if she's the descendent of Ginia Kat from SIMS 1, but Lazlo got three bolts for her, and they are now a couple. Neither rolled the want to get married or have children, but Lazlo loves Tara's cats.

Strangetown is my favorite neighborhood by far -- it's a built-in excuse to play with all the weird things in the game (especially aliens). My other hoods aren't as off-the-wall as Strangetown, since it gives me a place to put all that stuff. It's also the only one where I'm really attached to any Maxis Sims -- Pleasantview's interesting enough to play a little, but Strangetown is the one where I'll read a ton of other people's stories about the same Sims.

The one thing I always do is hook up Nervous and Pascal, since it's the nearest thing to being programmed into the game. At one point, in fact, I had to quit without saving because I didn't want them hooking up YET, but if I didn't micromanage them to avoid letting them do anything autonomously, then inevitably one of them would go smooching on the other out of the blue. I also like hooking up Lazlo with Erin (Beaker) Singles, who is ridiculously cute with better hair. (And I made Loki cheat on Circe and get kicked out of the house, but I actually almost felt sorry for him, because while I was carrying out that plan all his wants were pretty much all 'Kiss Circe' and 'Flirt With Circe' and 'Talk to Circe'. I guess for all he's a nasty bastard he actually does love his wife. ;))

wow all these nice stories... I actually played in strangetown about a year ago and I remember that these characters were much more...complex than the ones of pleasentview and verona. anyway in my strangetown this alien grandpa died and his wive married buzz grunt they got ,I guess, four more children. AJ got a make-over and began a liaison with teenage jill and college johnny^^. the only family that wasn't so interesting were the singles... I just couldn't see their personalities^^;

This might get a little complicated. Everyone in Strangetown is already related...and Chloe's escapades really messed with a couple of families.

Curious: I never played Vicund. He died when he was crushed by a satellite. In his kitchen. Lazlo hung around for a bit, but he never did find love. I moved him into a bachelor pad and have never played him since. Pascal, on the other hand, had a beautiful baby girl, who I named Trillian. He married a former male maid named Xavier and became stepfather to Chloe's -his half-sister's- child, Chase. This makes step-siblings Trillian and Chase cousins. Xavier, being a family sim, had a child with Pascal named Solidad. This makes Trillan and Chase both her siblings and her cousins. Chase is in college now and Trillian is devastated. She freaks out when she sees Solidad sleeping where her brother/cousin should be (like when a sim walks in on another sim in the shower).

Singles: I couldn't deal with all these sims in one house with only 20K between them.

Kristen and Erin: Kristen and Erin moved downtown. They shared a house for a while, they dated a couple of people, but they were always more attracted to each other than to anyone else. They're engaged.

Chloe: Had four different lovers at one point, which included Some Blonde Maid, Xavier, Kate Holmes (Not a Katie Holmes sim. My brother's last name is Holmes and she's his sim wife.), and Olive Specter. Xavier got her pregnant with Chase, which she wasn't too happy with. She kicked them out and gives Chase a call every so often. When I decided that she was getting on in years I had her change aspirations and marry her best friend, Katelyn. They had a girl named Ruth.

Lola: Married a CAS sim named Devi Orestes and adopted a sweet Japanese girl named Akiko. Eventually, Devi became pregnant with their second child, a girl named Alex. Alex was supposed to be their last, but I have a bit of a problem in my game with risky woo-hoos and same-sex couples. Thus, Santiago was born. I call him Santi (like the ghost kid in my favorite Guillermo del Toro movie). I'm really glad that I didn't abort him, because he's the cutest kid I've ever seen.

Smith: Johnny grew into an adult, but the game doesn't seem to think so. He still acts like a teenager. My teenage sims even bring him home from school. I call him The Mean, Green Pedophile Machine.

I used to play Strangetown all the time before I discovered the wonders of custom hoods.
I had all the families merged together. Every family are related somehow and I had little alien kiddies running around everywhere (let's just say that the hack I have for abduction was frequently used ;)) and there were far more aliens than humans.
In the end, it got so overcrowded that I deleted it and I haven't had time to start over again. Maybe I will come back to it some day. It was really fun to play that hood. :D

sounds fun! But I'm sure I won't have any abduction hacks. I love it when it's mystical, unplanned and unspoken of. I've heard many people who have planned to have aliens take over the whole Strangetown. It would be fun if it happened naturally without a hack but the sad thing is that the aliens cannot breed with the others because they are from the same Pollination Technicians. I would have to wait for some generations for them to be able to breed.

What did I do with my Strangetown characters?
I've had 4 Strangetowns so it's difficult to tell.
I've got a new Strangetown now and I will make sure I won't get tired of it. I will focus on the sims (characters) and control the birth rate. I won't let them have more than 2 (and sometimes 3) kids so I don't end up with boring, no-purpose characters.

1st Strangetown
The first Strangetown was only used for custom families so I deleted all of the maxis sims. I didn't know the fun of the maxis made sims at that time and the names were translated into Norwegian (my first language). Now I play the game in English only.
I had my Strangetown populated by my own fantasy people (Scarlegans) with jet black hair, blue eyes and pale skin. My favourite sim was Draco Clýaweca. It was the time back when I could make good custom families......

2nd Strangetown
My game had went fubar so I decided to install it again (before I knew how to look for mistakes in the downloads folder instead of in the game). I wanted to try the maxis characters and I'm so glad that I did. I don't really remember much now, sorry. I remember Pascal and Vidcund having their alien kids, Lazlo marrying and divorcing Crystal Vu (with 2 kids), the Beakers trying to get promoted (I think they had some kids too), Nervous remaining a test subject, Ajay and the Singles doing nothing, Johnny Smith marrying one of my custom sims and Ophelia going to college.

3rd Strangetown:
It still exists in a folder on my computer and just go and read my story "Spontanous Strangetown Stories" if you wanna know more.

4rth Strangetown:
The Strangetown I'm playing now.

What I've done so far:

Singles/Loner: I moved Ajay and the Singles' into the same home and I'm planning to marry off Ajay to either Lola or Kristen. Who should I choose?
He has got 2 bolts with both girls and I cannot decide. I gave them all jobs. Lola is politics, Chloé is slacker, Kristen is ShowBizz, Erin is paranormal and Ajay is business.

Beaker: I had Nervous make friends with Pascal (his future hubby) and Lazlo. I won't let Circe and Loki breed this time because Loki's genes are so unimaginably ugly. Should I marry off Circe to Vidcund? I did so in my 3rd Strangetown but she was nearly an elder when it happened. What do you think? Should she and Vid get a longer life together this time? I need help here because I'm not sure.

I adore Strangetown, it's the only hood I kept after a fresh reinstall and a happy retirement from contests :P I hope that I can continue to play it until every original sim has died; see how many generations I can continue, that would be pretty cool...

Ajay Loner - Met a girl named Thomas, fell in love, got married, has two adorable sons Vikram & Samson, plus a baby on the way. They're both doing well in their respective careers. Has double-bolt chemistry for Lola Curious-Smith but hasn't acted on it...yet.

Beaker/Subject - After re-rolling Nervous' turn-ons, he garnered a little chemistry for Loki, which was...amusing :lol: Circe caught him trying to flirt with Loki and even though Loki refused the flirt Circe broke up with him. As Loki prepared to leave he sat down to do some final stargazing and a satellite fell on him :confused: Nervous saved him from death and they moved in with Loki's reconciled sister, Erin (Singles). While playing the Specter household, Olive killed Loki (more on that later) and Nervous and Erin fell in love in some weird twist of fate. They're engaged and have a toddler named Aaron and a baby named Isabel.

Before Loki and Circe divorced, Circe became pregnant and after Loki's death, gave birth to a daughter named Cerise, who is a very unfortunate looking kid but has such great character, lmao :P

Curious - Pascal had his alien baby, Orion, who's now a teen. Lazlo had his alien son, Aries, who's now an infant. Lazlo has double chemistry for Ajay's wife, Thomas, and is planning to act on it. Vidcund fell back in love with Circe after her divorce and married her. They now live in the original Beaker house, along with their daughter Dharma, Vidcund's alien daughter Astrid, and Circe's daughter with Loki, Cerise.

Curious-Smith (Singles) - These two are SO boring right now it hurts me to play them but I must have all my sims age together! Both are living a very frugal (read: BROKE) lifestyle. They're best friends with their father PT9. Lola had a son, Hiram, resulting from a one-night stand (a dream date with max chemistry that ended in the photo booth :heyhey: ) who the father has yet to meet. Chloe is just making do in the criminal career track.

Kristen Loste (Singles) - Kristen is why Chloe and Lola are so broke. She was the moneymaker of the Singles household, but fell in love with the pizza guy. They recently got engaged and moved out, taking her money-making job with them...I have yet to play them in their new house.

Grunt - When Tank was still a teen, Johnny walked past and autonomously beat him up :lol: Since then he's been furious with him. He started flirting with Johnny's girlfriend Ophelia as a result, but then he fell in love with her. Ripp was a girlfriend-less loser and lost his job because he flunked out of school. Both are now adults. Buck continues to be an adorable little geek that the entire family loves, and is going steady with the goth cheerleader downtownie. :valentine General Buzz met Bella Goth through a mutual acquaintance and are now married.

Smith - Johnny is an adult; at his birthday party both Ophelia and Tank showed up locking lips, resulting in a cheating memory and a failure of a party :| Jenny and PT9 are still alive (barely, lol), Jill *just* aged into a teen.

Specter - Ophelia moved out to live with her new boyfriend, Tank. Olive became a vampire so she'll never die. At one point Loki walked past and she needed to feed so...she killed him :blink: resulting in Nervous and Erin getting together above.

...whew, I think that's it so far :anime:

Very interesting, I'd love to read a story where aliens take over Strangetown.

By the way, what are their names in Norwegian?

I'm amazed that you were able to play Crystal Vu and Lazlo, for they have no chemistry (at least from what I observed in my game).

Vidcund to kind for Circe? I think boxing gloves would make a splendid wedding present for them! I love what you've done with the characters though. Strangetown characters are delightful and I love hearing how others play them.

Everyone are not related. It's much worse with Veronaville. I'm sure there aren't any more related people in Strangetown than in Pleasantview (where the Pleasants, Burbs and Oldies are all related). The Beakers, Ajay Loner, Grunts, Specters and two of the Singles girls are not related at all to the Curious/Smith family. But then again....... Erin Singles is related to the Beakers...... And Nervous is Olive Specter's son.

Brilliant! I must say that I agree with much of what you've said. I am an avid reader of Strangetown stories as well, and I must say that Nervous and Pascal do get together on their own if Nervous is present, and my attention is on Lazlo or Vidcund at any given time.

I've never tried pairing Lazlo and Erin before, but I certainly did not understand the game pairing Lazlo and Crystal though, as they have very little chemistry, while Lazlo has two bolts for Erin.

I am looking for and reading Strangetown stories every week. But I've never noticed Pascal and Nervous automatically falling in love/flirting/interacting. I would maybe turn my attention to Vid or Lazlo the next time I invite Nervous over.

As for Lazlo and Crystal...... I love them. I don't really know why but I find Crystal a very beautiful, unique sim. And very unique in both looks and personality for being a townie.....Lazlo and Crystal don't show any chemistry for each other. Maybe Maxis wanted to show us that not all couples fit into the love-at-first-sight/sweet/romantic movie category.
Do you think Crystal was just a randomly spawned townie or was she made uniquely for Lazlo???
If she was just a randomly spawned townie, why would maxis make Lazlo have a crush on her?

I cannot imagine Maxis setting up Darren Dreamer to have a crush on Sandy Bruty...... There must be more in Crystal than just a townie generator. Crystal has the totally opposite interests as Lazlo too. She is into fashion and has no interest for scifi or paranormal. Maxis clearly wanted us to show that opposites attract.

I'm actually setting up sims if I want them to be together even if the chemistry is bad. Maybe I should take more notice of chemistry......
In my game I had Crystal read about scifi after many years of being married to Lazlo and there! She was into scifi. I won't do that now though......

The Norwegian names on the characters are bad. Always ridiculous and the same goes for the Harry Potter names translated into Norwegian.

Strangetown= Snålfoss (which again means "strange falls"). What the hell? It's a desert...... No waterfalls......

The Specter family= Aandesen. Ophelia is named Ofelia in Norwegian.

The Curious family= Zelig. Pascal is named Oversan, Vidcund is named Paz and Lazlo is named Plut. :smash: It sounds really ridiculous compared to the original names.

The Smiths= Svenssen. I don't remember the first names except for Pollineringstekniker 9 which is PT 9.

The Grunts= Bang. General Buzz= General Kruttleif Bang, Tank= Cephire Bang, Ripp= ????, Buck= Bukkleif Bang.
Ridiculous!

The Beakers (I actually like the names there)= Lyse.
Circe Beaker= Anna Lyse, Loki Beaker= Khata Lyse and Nervous Subject= N.R. Voes (N.R Voes=Nervøs=Nervous in Norwegian).

I'm soooo glad that I have the opportunity to install the game in English because I don't need the stupid, childish translated names.

Since Nightlife is the second EP released for the game, I don't think they necessarily paid any attention at all to whether couples created for the base game would actually have chemistry for each other or not -- they may not have had any idea.

How did you get Ophelia and Tank together? In my game, they have absolutely no chemistry whatsoever. I would think your Ophelia wouldn't like Tank all that much, especially since he hammered Johnny without provocation, but again, who can understand a sim?

For some strange reason, Tank always brought Ophelia home as his "friend from school" on the bus so they became best friends very quickly. I had Tank reassign his turnons with that drink that comes in your inventory (I forget the name) and then they had one chemistry bolt.

I generally treat one or two bolts as good attraction and let them ultimately get together. I generally treat the max chemistry (three bolts) as lust, lol, and those couples rarely get married in my game. But then I've only had one such couple like that so far, even after setting up numerous matchmaker blind dates and paying the maximum amount. :shrug:

I am looking for and reading Strangetown stories every week. But I've never noticed Pascal and Nervous automatically falling in love/flirting/interacting. I would maybe turn my attention to Vid or Lazlo the next time I invite Nervous over.
I know a lot of people think Nervous and Pascal are meant to be since they start out as best friends (or VERY close to becoming so) and *right* after Pascal gives birth to his alien spawn, Nervous is programmed to walk past the house. If you've played each house even a little bit, you know 1) Nervous is supposed to be the abused test subject in the Beaker basement and 2) Pascal is the only person that Nervous is friendly enough with to immediately move him out and save him.

I've never had a case when Nervous and Pascal autonomously fall in love, though since I play households alphabetically to keep things in order, in my current hood Nervous was crushing on Loki before I even got to the Curious house, and then the second time around, he was engaged to Erin.

Somewhat off topic, I don't know why people think Nervous is not a good looking sim. I think he's adorable. I can't stand to give him any other hairstyle then a variation of his trademark mohawk though. :P

As for Lazlo and Crystal...... I love them. I don't really know why but I find Crystal a very beautiful, unique sim. And very unique in both looks and personality for being a townie.....Lazlo and Crystal don't show any chemistry for each other. Maybe Maxis wanted to show us that not all couples fit into the love-at-first-sight/sweet/romantic movie category.
Do you think Crystal was just a randomly spawned townie or was she made uniquely for Lazlo??? If she was just a randomly spawned townie, why would maxis make Lazlo have a crush on her?
Crystal is definitely not a random sim, Crystal was made uniquely to be a crush for Lazlo. Whether you follow that or not is up to you :P I think when it came time to create chemistry in Nightlife, it just turned out that they couldn't arrange every pre-existing crush and marriage from the base game to have chemistry since it's based on both turn ons and birth sign; the turn ons being randomly assigned. That's why every premade sim came with that bottle of potion to reassign them, potentially you could give Crystal and Lazlo matching turn ons and up their chemistry...or not.

I'm not a huge fan of Crystal, I don't think I've ever had Crystal and Lazlo get together. I'm not a huge fan of Crystal, I don't think I've ever had Crystal and Lazlo get together. I remember the very first time I played the game I almost set up Lazlo and Chloe, not realizing they were half-siblings Usually I have the Curious brothers just busy with their science careers and their alien babies. This version of Strangetown was the first time I ever let a Curious brother (Vidcund) get married or have a baby that was not an alien.

I love to have the Curious brothers interested in science and let them be geeks without any clue on how to have a relationship too but that may get boring after a while so I think I'm gonna marry off Pascal to Nervous, Vid to Circe and Lazlo to Crystal. I LOVE the Beaker house and the Curious house too. Pascal will never move out of the Curious house.
In my former Strangetown Loki remained in the Beaker house with 2 of his kids with Circe while Circe moved into the Curious house together with Nervous and Pascal.
I guess I will move Loki out but I don't know what I will do with him.
I love him as a sim and I love both Circe/Vidcund and Circe/Loki but I have had so many Circe/Lokis before and now I want a brand new Circe/Vidcund. And Circe/Loki works best with a scared, terrified Nervous Subject in their basement, not a strong, independent Nervous Curious. I've had that story too.....

But what shall I do with Loki?

I have a lot of ideas but I'm scared if I will regret if I'm doing it that way.

- let Olive Specter kill Loki and place the tomb in her graveyard?

- marry Loki off to someone else? But I won't let him breed..... So it may be boring. And what kind of sim would fall for Loki? It must be a unique "nerd".

- let Loki live alone and focus on his career and do some weird resources?

- delete him??? (I will regret that)
There's no way back.

- kill him and make him into a zombie???

- make him into a vampire or a werewolf???

And for the names..... I knew about the Analyze thing and I found it too funny......
Other good names for Tank's children are Miles (means "soldier" in Latin) and Hunter (a very strong, manly name). I've never had Tank have boys before......

I wouldn't delete Loki, because that is permanent. I hadn't planned on killing him, it just happened. :| If you don't want him to have kids he could be a roommate with somebody until you decide what to do with him...that way he's providing money to a household.

I've never had an urge to play Maxi's made sims before and I just populated Strangetown with my own sims. But all these stories are so interesting I think I might try it. I had no idea there were actual predetermined interactions, attractions and story lines. Thanks for these insights!!

Everyone are not related. It's much worse with Veronaville.
The Norwegian names on the characters are bad. Always ridiculous and the same goes for the Harry Potter names translated into Norwegian.

Strangetown= Snålfoss (which again means "strange falls"). What the hell? It's a desert...... No waterfalls......

The Specter family= Aandesen. Ophelia is named Ofelia in Norwegian.

The Curious family= Zelig. Pascal is named Oversan, Vidcund is named Paz and Lazlo is named Plut. :smash: It sounds really ridiculous compared to the original names.

The Smiths= Svenssen. I don't remember the first names except for Pollineringstekniker 9 which is PT 9.

The Grunts= Bang. General Buzz= General Kruttleif Bang, Tank= Cephire Bang, Ripp= ????, Buck= Bukkleif Bang.
Ridiculous!

The Beakers (I actually like the names there)= Lyse.
Circe Beaker= Anna Lyse, Loki Beaker= Khata Lyse and Nervous Subject= N.R. Voes (N.R Voes=Nervøs=Nervous in Norwegian).

I'm soooo glad that I have the opportunity to install the game in English because I don't need the stupid, childish translated names.

Those Norwegian names are very cute! The name "Bang" certainly sounds better than "Grunt." When I first heard the name "Grunt" I thought MAXIS had created a family of Hog farmers.

The names Plut and Paz are so sweet, I might name one of the Curious children that in the future. Oversan is a rather interesting name, I may just create an doppelganger of Pascal named Oversan just to add even more variety to that already fascinating neighbourhood. I wonder how they chose the names Zelig and Aandesen though?

Have you got a Strangetown story posted somewhere, or do you know of some good Strangetown stories to read?

Oversan Zelig= Oversanselig
Plut Zelig= Plutselig
Paz Zelig= passelig

Translated into English:

oversanselig= transcendent
Plutselig= abruptly, instant, sudden
passelig= suiting (I think)

She' (and her brother) will probably enter the career track but I don't know if they'll make general or not.

Part of the way I play is that I don't think *every* sim needs to make the top of their career ladder. Sometimes I'll purposely halt their progress because I may want one sim to be an Astronaut, and one sim to be Sous Chef. Also that way not everybody can afford to hire a maid, repairman, gardener, etc. I think it's much more realistic that way. :anime:

I had Jhonny smith kill off his family and have a death fight with a teenage Jill only to lose. Jill then proceeded to start a cult. Tank joined the military buck changed his name and became a transvestight and grunt became a hippie and married Ophelia. ummm the two alien sisters each had twins with ummmm I haven't a clue and I forget what I did with poor nervous.

Even from the first time I read his biography I knew that there was a little gay in the family. Not that all gays are like that but Maxis are playing on the "uneducated" stereotypes. Just like..... Lilith Pleasant dresses in black and wears spikes. That means that she must be a depressed problem child........... Stereotypes.........

I've thought about Ripp as a potential gay/bi and sometimes I've thought about making him gay.

I really LOVE Tank. And Ripp. I don't think Tank is a very nice person and I wouldn't be his friend in real life but I just love his character. In my game I'm always making him into a new General Buzz (Tank) and make him even more cruel, alien-hating and selfish than his father.
In two of my Strangetowns he has been a chauvinist and his ideal wife has always been a trophy wife at home. I've always had Tank and Ripp enemies.....

I've thought about a new idea. I've wanted to make Tank into a rebel and go the completely opposite direction of his dad. Has anyone done it?
I've thought about pairing him up with Johnny Smith and become an alien lover and "free thinker"......
What do you think?

Ripp and Johnny got on so good that they ended up being boyfriends. They both grew up to adults, moved into their own home and got married. Poor Ophelia LOL.

Then I rebuilt my main hood... cloned those two... turned them back into college kids, still dating. Currently sophmore. Moved out of strangeville to get away from his father. I cloned Buzz and Buck and put them in the hood. Had Buzz absolutely freaking hate his gay son, you know Grunts are tough army people, we don't do things like that.... you know the whole story, and worse yet with an ALIEN! Moved him over to cause trouble. I've been trying to get Buzz to hate everyone in the hood, he's got into a few fights, couple with his son, but nothing major, I need the enemiesaccumulate hack. Tank I dunno what to do with. I can see him turning into his dad. Buck someday i'll get him away from his dad and adopted by Ripp.

I've got Nervous packaged and ready to import just need some time for it. Moved out of strangeville to get away from the Beakers. Can't blame him really.

Haven't played around with the other strangeville characters enough.

I've never really did anything with Buck. I've just had him woohoo some men and go to college. I already have a main gay couple in Strangetown (Pascal and Nervous). Maybe it would be too much with gay Buck/partner. Or maybe I could make Buck a romance sim drag queen who's having a relationship to several townies. Totally different from Pascal and Nerv.

Oh yes. The very first time I played in Strangetown, I threw Johnny his party and invited a bunch of people over. Funnily enough, the ONLY person that came to the party was Tank, even though they were enemies. Right then and there I knew it was meant to be. It took a lot of work to get them up into the positive digits on their relationship score, I had to be very careful when inviting Tank over because the first thing he would try to do was slap Johnny. :lol:

Currently Tank, Johnny, and Ripp are all at La Fiesta Tech. Tank and Johnny have crushes on each other, it's still going to take a while for them to fall in love, but rest assured it WILL happen eventually. Ripp is currently looking for a boyfriend and failing miserably.

I don't play the other Strangetown families yet, but after I get Tank and Johnny started on having a family I'll probably play the Beaker house, I love Nervous.

Nothing. I haven't played The sims 2 in 2 weeks or something now. My computer went fubar. But I will get a new computer (a 400 gig gamer) and I will be able to play it tomorrow. I've been planning a new story (a surprise) while I was being without the game all the time. I have all of the chapters in mind and I think I'll make the story hood and sims tomorrow. I'm really looking forwards to it.......

And for Loki!
I think I'll pair him up with Klara Vonderstein when she's graduated at uni. She's not that beautiful and a good match for Loki but he's 1000 times more ugly than her.

Pascal had his baby, boy named Uranus. The Vidcund got abducted and then Lazlo! So Vidcund and Lazlo were preggo a the same time and Vidcund just had to have TWINS! Boy and a girl, Mars and Luna. And now Lazlo is on his third trimester. Sigh...

Nervous Subject - married Kristen Singles, and now has a son named Tristen or something similar.

Circe and Loki - now the proud parents of a son named Bjorn after Loki's father.

The Smith's - Johnny married Ophelia, and they moved to Veronaville into a local mansion and had 2 boys and a girl who are now adults. The two boys are currently single and living alone, but the girl married a NPC Sim and had a daughter named Venus before her husband cheated on her then moved out.

Pollination Technition and his wife have adopted a child and a toddler and like many of my elder couples are going to continue raising children they adopt until they die.

Jill married Tank after Johnny and Ophelia left for Veronaville, and currently have 3 children with another one on the way.

The Curious Brothers - Lazlo and Crystal got married and I moved one of the Veronaville villas into Strangetown for them to move in. They currently have one son whose name begins with 'D' - something like Donny.

Pascal Curious married Bella Goth who happened to be one of the neighbours visiting him when he moved out with his newborn alien son Lycidas. I got Pascal and Bella married because I wanted to check her memories, but she had none. Bella and Pascal have twins - a girl named Badriyah and a boy whose name is similar.
Pascal's son Lycidas - married Takara Huberta, one of my own and possibly one of the most beautiful Sims I have ever created. They had a son named Lysander, then another named Lynn, then came Lyle then Koben (who is named differently because although he is half-alien with the alien facial features he has normal skin).
Takara - being famous for being the most beautiful Sim - got fed up of not having human children as beautiful as her (and fed up of being poor) so married the mail man who I made very rich with a large well-decorated house, and has since had two more sons - Tobias and Christian, leaving Lycidas a single parent whose family is struggling even more.

Vidcund is currently juggling twin aliens Jupiter and Mars, and has a NPC girlfriend named Christina or something.

Olive Specter - Since Ophelia had moved away I moved Ajay into the house along with his maid girlfriend to be the heirs, and haven't played with him since Olive died.

Grunt - As I said, Tank moved out to marry Jill Smith. Apart from that no change.

Singles - Kristen moved out to marry Nervous Subject, but never ever played with them - just moved them into a half-furnished house with telephone so I can pair them up with the mainly male population of Strangetown.

My new Strangetown (I've got a new computer)

Grunt:
I resurrected Lyla Grunt (who everybody thought was dead) and moved her in with General Buzz. Buzz hurried up and married her secretly because he wouldn't want anyone to know about her running away. And Lyla didn't have a clue since she came back without any memories. Buzz was indifferent as long as he had a wife who cooked for him and woohooed him. And now when Lyla didn't have any memory Buzz could control her easier.
Tank, Ripp and Buck are still teens.
Tank is practicing his body skills, Ripp got together with Ophelia after Johnny grew into an adult and Buck just became a teen. He is kind of a transvestite now.
Lyla is expecting their 4th child.

Smith:
I didn't do that much to them. Johnny grew into an adult and I gave their house a makeover/re furnish.

Singles:
I moved in Ajay Loner with them and they bought a very modern house together. Ajay and Kristen have a crush on each other. The girls still don't get along well.

Curious:
Pascal had his alien son Antares and Lazlo moved out with Crystal Vu. Pascal is now alone with his son in the Curious house but he will soon ask Nervous Subject to marry him.

Curious/Vu:
Lazlo and Crystal moved into one of the small Strangetown houses and they got engaged. They also had a daughter (baby) named Zooey.
I want to move Lazlo and Crystal into a bigger house but I'll have them save money. I want the game as realistic as possible.

Beaker/Curious:
Circe and Vidcund became lovers and Circe decided that she wanted to be with Vidcund for the rest of her life. I had Vidcund move in and Loki noticed that Circe cheated on him. She broke up with Loki and she got engaged to Vidcund.
Vidcund had his alien twins (b/g): Ford and Leia Curious.
Nervous fell in love with Pascal. They are deeply in love and he wishes to get engaged......

Specter:
Olive is still alive and she got to know her son before she died. Ophelia is dating Ripp Grunt........
Olive had a fight with Loki Beaker because he had captured her son for so many years. They became enemies....

Beaker (Loki):
He moved out of the Beaker house and he is still in the sim bin. I think I will make him a werewolf or an enemy sim. I will move him into a small house and have him make enemies with as many sims as possible. Maybe he will be a vampire too?

The first thing I do when I open new houses with new sims is to read the personality, memory, interest and bio. If I don't it's like playing with plastic dolls without any personality and not sims. ;)

CHAPTER ONE:
- Smith Family: After Johnny Smith's birthday (1 day after, where he and Ophelia went off to college) Jenny gave birth to twins namely Julie Smith and Jorge Smith. Jill Smith was also transfered to a private school and is doing great.
- Specter Family: Ophelia saved Olivia Specter from the Grim Reaper which made Olivia closer to Ophelia and boosting her aspiration making her friendlier to General Buzz and other sims. While Ophelia's away to college, I changed her house into a more updated house and moved all the gravestones to an empty resedential lot and replaced half of the area where the gravestones were into a garden and I placed a house on the other half. She now happily lives with her buttlers and maids. (thanks to this tutorial: http://thesims2.ea.com/exchange/sto...&user_id=402800)
- Grunt Family: Rip Grunt was promoted to the highest rank in his career which made his father proud. Tank was also promoted to the highest rank and was granted a scholarship and is going to college sooner or later, while Buck got straight A’s in his card. To celebrate this wonderful event they invited some of their close friends over (all the neighbors, including some townies) and ordered pizza. The party was great, everyone's having fun, PT9 and General Buzz's beating each other, Olivia with his butlers and maids took over the dance floor, Jill and Buck are getting along and some female townies are flirting with Rip. However, when the pizza arrived, everybody's busy doing their own businesses, except for General Buzz who was beaten by PT9. General Buzz opened the door and met a beautiful pizza girl who caught his heart. He invited him over but she refused, but he got her number (when u meet a sim you'll automatically get his/her number). Now Tank is ready for college. His cab arrives and everyone waved goodbye.
- Subject/Beaker Family: While Nervous on the other hand, planned on his revenge on the Beaker couples. He spent his time earning aspiration awards without the two noticing
and finally he bought the SimVac and used it on Loki and got all of his logic and some of his cleaning points making his aspiration red while Circe has been abducted and haven't returned for 4 days (or was that 3). Meanwhile, Olivia invited Nervous (he obtained the highest rank in Science Career since he move out of the beaker family) and told him that he is her long-lost son. Nervous moved in and is now happily living with his mother with her butlers and maids.
- Curious Family: The Curious Brothers further enhanced their knowledge (max their logic) and is now promoted to the highest rank and considered as the best team together with Crystal Vu who married one of them (couldn't remember his name, I think it was Lazlo). Chloe Singles is happily married to one of them (couldn't remember his name either, I think he was Vicund). The other one (who was abducted, he's best friends is Nervous, I think he was Pascal) gave birth to a baby girl and named her Andromeda which is now a toddler. While the other one (I think it's Vicund) who was also abducted gave birth to a boy and named him Mars which is still a baby.
- Singles Family: Chloe Singles was married to one of the Curious Brothers (I think he was Vicund), Lola's now living with Ajay Loner together with Bella Goth (the real one, since I replaced the townie Bella with the real Bella using SimPe) and Erin and Kristen, living together, are now successful in their own careers. They are now also very successful entrepreneurs (flower shop).
- Loner Family: Ajay Loner moved Bella Goth in so he could help her get her memory back (even though he has got no clue of Bella’s past). Together with Lola Singles, they decided to help her return to his family.

CHAPTER TWO:
- Grunt Family: General Buzz has changed a bit lately. Is it because the series of fortunate events or the pizza girl at the party? She invited this girl everyday during his free times and met his family. Everyone liked her because she’s nice, responsible and beautiful. She helped them pass the head master’s test by pretending to be their mother. Everyday their relationship with this girl grows more, especially with General Buzz who moved her in and proposed to her. After Buck’s birthday (as a teen, romance), they got married and gave birth to a baby girl named Precious Grunt. Then Rip had his birthday and was granted a scholarship and went off to college which made General Buzz very proud. More days later, Tank returned from college while Rip's still there and followed his father's steps (General Buzz's and elder now). Tank married a townie (forgot her name) and they both lived next door with their son Artie, a potential artist (I didn't notice that I almost maxed his creativity skill, but he's still a toddler). While Buck is focusing on his studies since he'll go to college soon and his relationship with Jill which was approved by his father.
- Smith Family: Before Jill (as a teen) and Jenny Smith’s birthday (as an elder) Jenny gave birth to another four additional members of the family (not at the same time, off course): June Smith (child, male), Jasmine Smith (child, 4 days younger, female), Jack Smith (toddler, male) and Jillian Smith (baby, female) while PT9 used up the elixir to live longer for his family. They invited all their neighbors to party, including Buck who is already a teen. All the guests are having fun, including Olivia who again took over the dance floor and dance insanely. Jill and Buck are even getting along more which turned childhood best friends into newly found crush. And so, after the birthday Jenny gave birth to another member of the family, a baby girl named Jane Smith. Jill is getting along more with Buck. They are now getting steady. Days later, they bought three elixirs of life to lengthen Jenny and PT9’s lives for the kids. Jenny, again, gave birth to another member of the family: Jessie Smith. Then again, Jax Smith. And again, Journe Smith. So they now have ten children: Johnny (male young adult, family), Jill (female teen, knowledge, near to young adult, same as Buck who will have his birthday 2 days from now), Julie and Jorge (twins, female and male teen, popularity and fortune), June (male teen, pleasure), Jasmine (female teen, romance), Jack (male teen, knowledge, just had his birthday), Jillian (female child), Jessie (female child), Jax (male child, just had his birthday) and Journe (female toddler). All of them are in a private school. Thanks to the mod I downloaded at MTS2, I can have more than 8 sims living in my lot. I built another extra floor for their bedrooms and bathrooms until I reach the fourth. Johnny returned from college and married Ophelia while Jill's off to college soon.
- Specter Family: I don’t really know how to start this family’s chapter but, one of Olivia’s maid, HAS A CRUSH ON NERVOUS!!! Her name is Bessie (female adult, knowledge). So they got married and had a beautiful daughter named Beam Subject. Olivia is so proud! She never felt that way before in her life! So Bessie took the Medical Career track and achieved the highest rank. Ophelia returned from college and married Johnny. They all lived happily ever after. But this is not the end of their story…
- Beaker Family: Days before the events above, Circe returned pregnant! But Loki’s still, you know, NUTS!!! His aspiration’s still red and he lost his job while Circe was promoted and gave birth to TWIN ALIENS!!! Thor (male baby, but now a teen, popularity) and Odin (male baby, now also a teen, knowledge). Since they’re now broke she decided to sell vegetables instead. However, she got fond of it very much, she turned into a plantsim and gave birth to a female baby plantsim named Oceanus (but she’s now an adult, knowledge). Good thing she’s friends with the Gypsy, she bought an antidote and was finally cured! The bad thing is there’s no cure for Loki’s nervous breakdown.
- Curious Family: Andromeda grew up (as a teen, knowledge, Natural Science Career, reached the highest rank) and same as Mars (as a child). Lola gave birth to their new child, Cosmo (male toddler). After that nothing much happened.
- Singles Family: Kristen and Erin’s business (flower shop) reach the highest rank, same as Erin’s H&M Fashion Store.
- Loner Family: Lola and Ajay got married and had a daughter named Aly (now a child), while Bella’s Toy Shop reached the highest rank and decided not to leave the town anymore for she is happy with his new family (Ajay, Lola and Aly).

Is it just me or is Buck really gay?
he wanted to be a pet stylist which i find very odd
or he could just want to unleash his creativity and he's fond of taking care of pets.
I mean there are many straight guys that are fashion stylist and i have a friend who's uncle is a pet stylist, but he's straight because he's married (TO A WOMAN).

I think EAxis actually set up certain characters in Strangetown to be gay, or at least bi-sexual, Buck and Nervous Subject in particular. Yes, Buck being a pet stylist does make it seem that way, and if you let Nervous Subject loose in the Curious house, he tends to flirt with Pascal autonomously.

I like what you've done with your Strangetown, and you too, Figgi, Oceanborn and Zora! Very interesting adventures, I only hope I can do as much credit to Strangetown as you all have. I'm still working on a Strangetown movie series but debating if it's too violent. Anyone want to beta-watch it??

Anyway, thanks for great read, everyone! Keep posting more of your Strangetown stories!

I've started on a new custom hood called Aridia (desert town) and I'm taking a break from Strangetown. I've only done for 3 days and I hope my break won't last long. I'm starting to wonder how I can spice up my Strangetown.
I love it!
So damn much......
But the problem with the maxis hoods are that maxis made the characters so interesting that I won't let them die. Not the Strangetowners. Not the Curious brothers!
But one day they have to die. Sometimes the first generation gets so much more interesting than the second.

I think the kids in Strangetown are really interesting but I'm wondering if I've already done too much already. Maybe I've had too many kids, maybe I don't vary enough, maybe I have got too many families there???

And for the gay thing.....
In my game Nervous, Buck and Pascal are gay. No one are bi. Most of my "bi" sims are the romance sims who fall for anyone. ;)

Plus, no matter how much I love a sim that's about to die, there's always somebody in the next generation who I can pour my affections out on. :D

Another annoying thing. Buzz and Lyla's daughter Yvonne seems to look exactly like a female clone of the General. I did resurrect Lyla but I thought she had functioning recessive genes. It seems like Yvonne looks exactly like Buzz. Can you see that she looks like Lyla? Or is she (like I think) a clone of Buzz???

I'm very tempted to make a new start with a new Strangetown and do everything anew. Maybe make a journal about what's happening in my Strangetown.

Wha-at? As for what features he'll pass down, it's the eyes and jaw (since the eyes are powerful features, that might be why their daughter looks like General Buzz. Noses and cheekbones aren't that salient usually).

I never thought to resurrenct Lyla and never had Buzz breed with anyone(scary to think of him treating another child like he treats Ripp and Buck), so I never bothered fixing his genetics. If I ever start Strangetown again, the first thing I'll do is repair the DNA of everyone that lives there.

I haven't played Strangetown for a while, I find it less gripping than the Pleasantview storyline. Although to be fair I do like Johnny and Ophelia - I find they're a cute couple. And I also like Jill and Tank - they have cute children.

And this is what happened to Loki Beaker
He and Circe broke up and Circe went and married Vidcund. Loki moved into a small starter home and he was pissed and had a low aspiration level. I changed his ambition to fortune..... well....... grilled cheese at first...... and then he wanted to marry a rich sim. I had him capture Olive Specter before she died and she was so angry in him for keeping her son locked into his basement all the years. He managed to calm down Olive and married her. He moved into her house and she was so old. She only had one day left. But she managed to kill him (like all her other hubbys) before she died. In the end she was so sure that he was only after her money.
And then she died......
And Ophelia was left alone. She had a relationship to Ripp Grunt and she still has and she got engaged to Johnny (but she still loves Ripp too). Ophelia and Johnny moved out of the "haunted" house and tooks all the tombs with them. They moved into a small castle which looks a bit like the Beaker house and they still live there.

And Joe.....
For the genepool becoming too limited..... I feel the same!
Maybe I'll have to marry my sims to townies? I don't want to make many custom families I will never play anyway.
But for how many generations will the sims show family members and distant relatives on the family tree?
I think I'll graduate the Fiesta Tech students and move them into Strangetown. I love them. Especially Almeric Davis and Stella Terrano.

For the genepool becoming too limited..... I feel the same! Maybe I'll have to marry my sims to townies? I don't want to make many custom families I will never play anyway. I don't think the genepool is too small...look at Veronaville. Only three families! Strangetown has six: Curious/Smith (+Chloe & Lola Singles), Grunt, Loner, Loste (Kristen Singles) Nigmos, and Beaker (+Erin Singles). And there's nothing wrong with throwing in some townies into the mix. :P

i made a bueatiful girl Ember and she is a teenmom living with her widowed mom and her boyfrriend, who had moved out already as a teen, ripp grunt.(rex grom in dutch)
pascal is married to a beautiful girl Virginnia or V for friends, he has 3 kids, his alien daughter Rihanna, and his twins Leki and ciara.
lazlo married to a girl called Londen and had 2 sets of kids, Serene and sanne and cory and topanga
the last curious brother, the blond one(vincent in dutch) married to a guy called Darren

Last time I played Strangetown I had Loki and Circe divorce and Circe move out. Loki gets very sick and is nursed back to health by Nervous who he later begins a passionate secret affair with. Loki evfentually proposes to Nervous but on the day of their wedding Nervous gets..well...nervous...and runs off, moving in with his long lost mother Olive.

Circe restarted her affair with Vidcund but Vidcund eventually realised that Circe was just using him for one thing, and also for a place to stay. Vidcund broke it off with Circe and was last remaining single, although letting out a room to a blue alien from Xyliriax. He spent his time looking after his alien spawn (reluctantly). Pascal married a countessa and Lazlo married Crystal Vu, but their marriage broke up after she discovered that he cheated on her with another married woman (A CAS Sim) and got her pregnant. I last had Lazlo marry his true love after she left her husband and they raised their daughter Paige together.

I can't remember what I did with the others. I think I made Rip turn emo and had Jill become a teen mother...

Well, Ophelia and Johnny are recently out of college, married, and doing quite well in working up the career ladders. Ophelia took everything not nailed down when she left for college, so they are financially doing quite well. Johnny wants to be a general and Ophelia wants a golden anniversary. She's on the medical career track because I like the career reward.

Tank just got back from college and his girlfriend, Zoe, is living with him in his family home. She brought a musical instrument with her (can't remember which one) . She gets along with the entire family. Ripp is in college and woo-hooing a way. Wants to be a slacker and hasn't spoken to his father since he left home. Buck is still a teen and has three lightening bolts with Jill Smith. Because I don't have Pets, he cannot achieve what he wanted in his bio. So he's going into showbusiness himself and will get his golden anniversary - which is exactly what Jill wants too. They'll get the Smith house. Buzz has never found love, but has his family and friends and seems happy.

Loki and Circe are working on their non-scientist lifetime wants, but not doing so well. Their son, Prometheus (it seemed so arrogant - I couldn't resist), has just turned toddler.

Pascal had a son, Orion, who has just become a teen (and has to get into private school a second time now). After Vidcund and Lazlo moved out, Pascal found love with his gardener, and they are now married and expecting. Vidcund also has a son, Jacob. Vidcund has just become engaged to Klara from La Fiesta. They will have a child together, but not for some time. Lazlo got Crystal and they're happily married. She just got this snazzy yellow helmet and is thinking of finding a new direction in life, when the opportunity presents itself. All boys now realize Chloe and Lola are their sisters.

Nervous moved in with Olive. When she died, he got everything. Moved into a little place of his own shortly thereafter. Married Monica Bratford. She wants to max all skills, so she stays at home and works on that while he works his way up the law enforcement track.

Pollination Tech is dead and Jenny is an elder. Perma-plat from her golden anniversary. Finally had to sell several bushes because no one could get to them to trim, no matter how they were rotated, even though they were on flat ground. Her daughter is a teen and lives with her.

Chloe is still single and living it up. Only 14 more loves to go. She'll probably have a baby eventually, to keep green skin in this town, but not for a while yet.

Lola is trying like anything to earn that 100,000 simoleons. She's also expecting her first child. She married a professor. He's a family sim (and an elder) so he'll quit his job when the baby comes.

Kristen married Ajay Loner and they're all about money. She's on the athletic career track and they're thinking about having a child. They'll have to move, though, since they're in a one-bedroom house.

Erin made a very poor choice in husband - he's a romance sim. He's a lot younger than her, but I don't think he'll outlive her by far. They're expecting their first child.

Strangetown is also my all time favorite neighborhood. Someday I hope to make next generation version of it that I will distribute around the web. As for now, I have played several Strangetowns, and lost confidence with the most, except the latest one, which seems promising.
1st Strangetown:
Totally ludicrous. I still have it in my old desktop, since it was the first neighborhood I played when I first got the Sims 2. I filled up with a bunch of stupid families that I had credited with ugly orange skin tones and last names that were me being crazy with the Alt-numeric symbols from the character map. It's mostly used for mod experimentation now.

2nd StrangeTown:
A started over copy of the original that is also on my desktop computer. I had to reinstall my entire game after the fiasco where my mom got my the base game + holiday theme, rather than the holiday theme stand-alone, so I saved all my originals and had access to maxis originals. I copied the StrangeTown, renaming every single file prefix from N002 to N00? (I can't even remember), which was incredibly tedious.
I tried this one differently, not adding any CAS families and playing out the first couple of days of each house as adviced in the base game Prima Guide, then basing gameplay off their wants.
As usual, I got over zealous with the mods, brought back the dead, Pascal had non-alien triplet girls, etc, and eventually that one went to dust as I moved on to PleasantView. I still have the original though, and I might pick it up again.

Any, I'm on to the 3rd try at this wonderful neighborhood, now on my tablet PC. (Incidently, playing the Sims 2 on a tablet has been quite an interesting experience.)
Anyway, this one is looking hopeful. I'm still following the system of playing out the neighborhood as prescribed by the guide, then improvising after that. I've had a few strange things happening, but I'm not done with the first chapter yet.
Each chapter is 15 days long, which means that every sim in a household is played until they're fifteen days older, even if I move them out of their original starting house.
I keep a cycle going, and when the loop is complete with the chapter, I cycle back and play through them in the same order again. This helps prevent a lot of "memory overload", in which sims get a lot of useless memories from distant relatives that they should hardly even care about. Unfortunately, it can't be completely destroyed, and if I ever do decide to distribute the next gen StrangeTown to the community, I'll have to do some major memory editing using SimPE.

Now, moving on to what everyone has been saying. There are too many different posts to all quote and keep track, so I'll just respond and hopefully people will figure who I'm responding too.

First off, I'm going to try to have gay sims eventually, but they'll mostly be aliens.

Buck, to me, is a metrosexual, not a homosexual, and his life will play out as such.

I've never noticed the attraction between Nervous Subject and Pascal Curious before, but I'll have to look into it and maybe I'll be able to fit it in with my plans for the story.

As for the limited gene pool, there are several solutions if you don't like townies, downtownies, NPCs, or CAS sims:
--College Sims from La Fiesta Tech, which seems to be meant for StrangeTown Specifically
--Olive Specter has an awesome maxis-made gene pool buried in her back yard, with cool names to boot! All you need is a resurrect-o-nomitron and you're golden. I should have one by the end of my 2nd chapter, hopefully.

And finally, I absolutely love the homonym names that appear in StrangeTown, and I never knew that the maxoids were clever enough to put them into the other languages of the game too! Wow! There are homonym names on the grave stones outside Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ride, and if I ever do decide to include CAS sims in this version of StrangeTown, those will be the names I use first:

My Strangetown (taking a break from Pleasantview) is currently having a huge baby boom. Almost all of my births are TWINS (mostly from cheesecake), and around 1/4 of the population (and growing) are green.

I took Ajay from Strangetown and made him his very own neighborhood! I later went back and took Ophelia and married her to Ajay's Grandson, Xavier. They had 6 kids, including a natural set of twins! And tonight their oldest daughter, Isabelle, made them grandparents!! finally!!

Oh, and after i took Ophelia, i deleted Strangetown....

Hmm... Ophelia and Johnny got married, and had kids - Kalila, Cosmo, and Gabrielle. They moved into Veronaville after getting married, (before I learnt that thats bad) and then I stupidly moved them back again. So Ophelia and Johnny live with Gabrielle in Strangetown, Gabby is still a baby and Johnny and Ophelia are getting on in years now. Kalila got married and had a daughter, Venus, but her husband left her but I think she might be engaged or remarried now, but she raised Venus from baby to child by herself. Cosmo is a single guy who looks like a good guy but likes wearing 'tough' clothes (more for my own amusement, he looks funny lol), I think hes still single cause hes very boring.

Nervous got married to one of the Singles girls, and they have a kid I think. Can't remember anything else about him other than he has a good job, and they're slowly building and extending their family home.

Loki and Circe have a baby boy called Bjorn (named after one of their ancestors).

Olive Specter died, but not before Ajay moved in with her as a tenant and a friend (strictly friends). So Ajay became the 'surprise heir', as Nervous and Ophelia had their own families and their own (much nicer) houses. His girlfriend, the maid called Genesis Lam, moved in with him and she got impregnanted by aliens, and had a baby. I can't remember what the baby is called, but I think its a girl. Ajay is helping to raise her and is too scared to ask Genesis to marry him, so I think she'll ask him.

My most beautiful sim I ever made (except perhaps Neva Luna who is in my display picture) lives here, Takara, and got married to Lycidas (the alien one of the Curious brothers was impregnanted with). However, she wanted more good-looking children so Takara dumped Lycidas and got married to a handsome NPC Sim - the mailman. She also wanted a baby girl, so was disappointed when she had 6 male kids with her new hubby. Haha to her :P.

So now, Lycidas is a single parent trying to cope with about 3 kids aged from baby to child, helped out occasionally by his father - who is married to Bella Goth and has twin girls by her.

One of the Curious brothers got married to the gf he had at the beginning, Crystal, who is very ugly. But the children aren't that bad looking, and are also sadly neglected. The other Curious brother is probably married too.

The Grunt family are also very neglected, but Ripp is doing good - he went to Uni unlike Tank and did very well, and may be married also. I haven't played Strangetown for a while.

Tank got married to Johnny's little sister, and they have a kid too.

Gosh. My Strangetown is soon going to be very crowded, considoring the amount of kids everyone is having. O_O

I love Nervous. I did the typical Nervous + Pascal, Pascal gave birth to his alien girl. I called her Corinthia or something weird like that. For some reason I wanted to put Vidcund and Circe back together so I just married them right now. Loki is wallowing in that big old house right now. I haven't played anyone else yet but I just reinstalled the game. I can't remember what I did before since I haven't played Strangetown in a long time but it was always my favourite.

Wow...Everyone seems to have played StrangeTown. I have only really gone into the houses and looked at each family. I then deleted the entire neighborhood. It was tooo strange for me :)

I recently started fresh with my game, but Strangetown is so far untouched. I never liked it anyways, making a whole neighborhood of freaks. Instead, I have decided to distribute Grim children, aliens, and other weirdos through all of my lovely neighborhoods. :beer:

I tried to stick to their original gender preferences, but with a few changes. Most of the Strangetown characters are actually either "neutral" or "straight" in their gender preferences...
And that includes Buck Grunt! His gender preference is 10 for female, and 0 for male, right from the start. I think Tank, however, is neutral - which leads me to the conclusion that Maxis did indeed intend for Buck to be metrosexual. :D And I've always thought of him as such.

I love Strangetown; if you're a sucker for sticking to the Maxis storylines (like me), it's fun to add aliens and such in the mix.

I took Nervous Subject, The Nirmos(?) family (the one with all the graves :anime: ), the Smith family, and the Beaker familt and put them in my custom hood :) Whenever I send my sim to a community lot, Nervous almost always gets into a fight with one of the members of the Monty clan;) there's always a fight on my community lots. I love it! :lol:

Seriously? Considering that Crystal Vu is a townie I find her one of the more attractive townies/npc's. I don't find her ugly at all. As a maxis sim she is maybe not as beautiful as Circe Beaker, Jenny Smith and Cassandra Goth but one thing I love is that I haven't seen so many other townies with her facial template. She's certainly not another Brandi Broke (which I find boring). :)
I am very impressed with the kids she has had with Lazlo in all my Strangetowns. They are so cute.

And my Strangetown........
I haven't played my maxis Strangetown in weeks (maybe 2 months ago) and it's starting to get overly populated. I cannot keep track on all the sims and the old maxis sims (the Curiouses, the Singles etc.) are all elders. I fear them dying......
Johnny Smith and Tank Grunt are 11 days from elderhood. I am not gonna abandon this Strangetown. I just have to "clean up" a bit and get some order. Maybe play each family for 3 days each, as I do with my "custom Strangetown".

Well.... You're curious about my "custom Strangetown"?
Some months ago I actually decided to make a custom version of Maxis' Strangetown. I made a new neighborhood with the Strangetown template and called it Strangetown 2. I deleted all the characters (npc's and townies) because I didn't want a Strangetown with Kaylynn, Goopy, Benjamin and all the Pleasantview townies in them. I then placed all the Strangetown houses there (which I "stole" from a merged Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville from SarahMK). I wanted to make a Strangetown from the beginning. I sat down in many hours at bodyshop creating all the "parents" of the maxis sims (Bjørn Beaker, Glarn Curious etc.). And I gave them the "genetics" (eye colours, hair, skin) to be able to give birth to someone who look like the maxis sims. Everything is going well in my "custom Strangetown" and I will be making a story in the future. All the "maxis" sims are born except for Nervous Subject and Jenny Smtih just grew into a teen.

I will post some pictures.....I don't know how many pictures I am allowed to post at this section (there are 4 at picture section)......

But this is Pollintaion Tech #9 and young baby Jenny Smith. It's natural that there is age difference because Techie is also the father of Jenny's half siblings, Lola and Chloé Curious (which are the children of Glarn). There is a lot that doesn't make sense in the maxis Strangetown and in my "custom Strangetown" Lola and Chloé are a little bit older than Jenny (1-2 years).

Both Curious brothers had their alien babies. Vidcund was 65 years old and he had a Vampire want, so I let that happen. He had met the vampire in Downtown so that was pretty easy. Then Pascal who also was an elder had a vampire want so Vidcund bit him. Both old boys are still living on the hill and sleeping in their coffins. I forced an alien pregnancy on the third brother. Pascal's daughter is married to another alien and they have 3 ugly alien kids. Vidcund's daughter is actually a pretty alien. She married a non-alien and here she is with her third child, she is pregant with her fourth. She has a 10 children want and so does her husband so I am going to fulfill that want.

I never played any of the Maxis Sims until reading this thread.... after seeing so many people talk about Pascal and Nervous as a couple, I HAD to go and see it for myself. So I've now played with the Beakers and the Curious brothers; so far here's what's gone on -

- Nervous and Pascal have, yes, fallen in love; Nervous is now living at the Curious house with the three brothers and Pascal's alien daughter. Four men and a toddler in that little space is insane, but I rather enjoy the insanity. XD

- Loki Beaker had an "accident" with the energizer and died of starvation. I hated him as soon as I loaded the lot, and since I noticed Vidcund likes Circe I decided Loki had to go.

I haven't gone any farther with them yet, but I have plans to let Vidcund get abducted next and then go move in with Circe, since I don't think I can handle six people at the Curious house. It's so big and yet so small at the same time. >_< And I've been too lazy to try expanding it.

Oh, and there are now cloned versions of Pascal, Lazlo and Nervous in my regular neighborhood since I found myself liking them immensely. So now my Sims keep having their newspapers stolen by Nervous. XD

I've been playing the good old Singles girls in Strangetown, in HP's megahood, where thankfully they all have their rightful names. I've moved them into the weird house in Strangetown with the basement bathroom, and gave them one big bedroom with three double beds, where they all sleep. The walls of the bedroom are completely covered in posters, decorations, and other wall hangings, and there are christmas lights all round -- I love it. :P Also, since there's only space for three double beds in the room, two of the girls have to share a bed. I plan on having Erin Beaker and Chloe Curious-Smith share, since they hate each other, and I am mean.
I love sticking Sim households into houses that are really too small for them, and I'm going to put two more Sims in with the Singles, so ultimately everyone will have to share a bed. Since I've always seen the Singles as recent Fiesta Tech graduates, I'm going to move the next two graduates into their household too.

ChaoticNeutral; I love those pictures! Jill Smith looks great, I love the one where Loki is just completely obliviously playing with the cat while everyone's celebrating, and Dancer!Johnny is really cool.

ETA: Oh, and I forgot that Pascal gave birth to a little alien boy who I named Orion (I know, so cliché to name alien kids after stars, but whatever), and Ajay Loner moved into the loft in the lots bin that came with one of the stuff packs (Glamour Life I think), which was either already very luxuriously decorated or I made it so. I'm trying out ACR with him and he'll probably get together with one of my precious Singles girls soon. Oh and Nervous hates Erin Beaker, and has gotten into several fights with her. Erin is starting to become friends with General Buzz Grunt, and when they had a gossip about Pollination Tech #9 I figured that they were both very anti-alien and that is part of the reason that Erin and Chloe get on so badly. I love my Strangetown oh so much :P Although the fact that it is part of HP's uberhood kind of takes away from the isolated little desert town atmosphere.

Strangetown quickly became my favorite Maxis hood, I just love everyone, but I've been mostly playing with the Curiouses, the Beakers, the Smiths and Grunts.

The original Strangetown teens (Johnny, Ophelia, Tank, and Ripp) all went La Fiesta Tech are currently sharing the same house which I turned into a Greek House in their Sophomore years.

The Curious Brothers: Currently all the boys have one alien child, Pascal had a daughter named Venus (yeah I know, I'm not creative), Vidcund had a son named Chander, and Lazlo had a son named Ori. Venus is a teen, a family sim, a creative prodigy (she was able to get the Creativity Scholarship), she's got a crush on a CAS sim I made, and I plan to send her to college at some point. Chander is still a child but his birthday is coming soon, and Ori recently became a toddler.

Finally, Vidcund ended up falling out of love with Circe, Lazlo is currently engaged to Crystal Vu and I plan to move the two to a new lot after they get married.

The Beakers: Loki and Circe are still together and are still working on their careers (I still can't believe that for once I got a maxis sim who's lifetime want matched their story!). With the wonders of The Elixir of Life, they were able to have two daughters, Hecate (teen popularity sim) and Freya (still a toddler and a part of me is afraid that she might have gotten Firstborn Syndrome).

Nervous moved out but not before getting a job in the Culinary track, becoming friends with Circe, falling in love with and marrying the Beaker's maid, Aiyanna, and adopting a son named Leo. The Subjects moved out and they recently had a daughter named Vicky.

The Smiths: After Johnny left for college, Jill became a teen and Jenny became an elder. I had Jenny retire but she kept on rolling a want to have a Law Enforcement career so I finally gave in and gave it to her. Jill became a family sim like her parents (what can I say? I have a weakness for family sims), she's currently going steady with Buck Grunt. Finally, because I felt like it, I had PT9 adopt a kid, it was a boy named Jake.

The Grunts: Buck became a teen and Knowledge sim, as mentioned earlier he's going steady with Jill Smith. Buzz is still a general and he was recently abducted, he should be giving birth to his alien baby soon.

Well, let's see.

Smith:
Polli is dead. Jenny is dead (but got her lifetime want of a Golden Anniversary). My sister actually manged to get a pregnancy right when she started the game, but I did not. She wound up with twins. Red-headed, and with their father's features (poor girls). Johnny is married to Ophelia. I changed the kids' DNA to actually make them half-alien with red recessive hair (since Poli was double red). Johnny and Ophelia have a teen and child son. Both green skinned, green eyed, and blond haired. The little one only has one neat point, and doesn't know any of his neater relatives, and so can't be encouraged for neatness just yet. Johnny has his LTW. Ophelia wants a golden anniversary. Jill is married to Buck. Both family sims and they have 3-bolt chemistry. Both wanted golden anniversaries. They are expecting their first child. They'll have two. Unless she surprises me with twins or something.

Curious:
Pascal had a little alien boy, Orion. Orion is delicately featured, but attractive enough from the front view. He lacks a nose when you look at his profile. He's will get his LTW of mad scientist and then move into a Paranormal career. Married a knowledge sim wife just recently (just got out of Uni). Pascal married Nancy, the gardener, after he made sure she got along with Orion. They had an absolutely gorgeous daughter, Theresa. She wanted to marry off six kids. Unfortunately she fell for Prometheus Beaker (son of Loki and Circe) and he's very unattractive. So with a hacked helmet, she wants a golden anniversary. She's still a teen. Pascal finally, finally achieved his want of Criminal Mastermind. And died several days ago. Then his widow and child moved into a house with more than one bathroom.

Vidcund also had an alien son, Jacob - but with a replacement Pollination Tech. He was better looking as a child than Orion, but less attractive a young adult - but that more the fault of Vidcund's cheeks, I think. Jacob is a popularity sim. He has all the skills for his LTW, is a senior in college. He fell for the oldest daughter of Sarah and Matthew Hart. Vidcund then married Klara, from La Fiesta, and had a son with her, Leonardo. He's a funny looking kid, but I think he might look a bit better when he gets older. He'll probably be knowledge. Vidcund retired as soon as he was elder so that he could work on his LTW of max 7 skills. He succeeded. Now he spends his days and giving lessons to his son and slapping around people who spy on him - including his own little brother.

Lazlo did not have an alien child. He married Crystal and moved out. They have a son, Nathan, who is still a child, but quite attractive. Nathan has a good, balanced personality, too. Lazlo became a mad scientist and has not retired since becoming an elder. Crystal topped the business career (after the helmet changed her want from the pesky 100,000 one). Keeping them away from the telescope during the day isn't always easy. Nathan's birthday is tomorrow.

Nigmos:
Ophelia went to college immediately - and took everything that wasn't nailed down. She stayed in a dorm with Johnny and both had over 100,000 aspiration points by time they graduated (I think). Nervous moved in with Olive until she croaked. Then he moved to a new place. It took him a while to find a woman who could tolerate him and give him the family he wanted. But eventually he found Monica Bratford. He poked her roommates a bit, but she didn't mind. Whilst he became a Captain Hero and they lived off Olive's money, she stayed home to work on maxing her 7 skills. And did so a day or two before becoming an elder. They have a boy - and he's okay looking (I was worried about their features and how they'd mix). He's still a child, though. And he has no relatives to encourage niceness. A problem, since he has no nice points. Full neat, full clean, full active, half-way playful, and no nice. But so far he hasn't been mean to the other kids he's come home from school with and such.

Beaker:
Dang their lifetime wants. She wanted to top the athletic career and he wanted to be a criminal mastermind. Well, they eventually got them. Circe transitioned green, so she's dead already. Loki was platinum, and will be hanging around a few more days. Their serious, knowledge-sim son, Prometheus, has just finished his first semester of college. He's not attractive. But definitely more attractive as a young adult than as a teen (and I think he's the first one I've had that happen with). He wants to be a Chief of Staff and has all the skills for it. The town beauty, Theresa Curious, was his lady love in highschool and shall be again, once she goes to college. Can't decide where they'll live, though. The Beaker house has character, but I just don't much like the layout.

Grunt:
General Buzz became a hall of famer, and died platinum, while his first (well, only, so far) grandson was an infant. Tank also became a hall of famer. He's married to Zoe Zimmerman. They have a toddler son named David. He got his mother's' hair and skintone 3 and blue eyes. We'll just have to see how he turns out - he doesn't have a lot of personality yet. Ripp taught his younger brother to study, despite never having learned himself. He just wasn't smooth enough to get that first kiss before leaving teenhood behind. He made up for it, though. His first LTW was top of the slacker career, and he got that. Then 20 woohoos, and he got that. Now he's working on topping the athletic career. He was nearly broke, but then his father died, and, since they had a newly repaired relationship, he got 9000+. He hasn't met his nephew yet, and that needs to change. He and Tank have no relationship, but he gets along well with Jill and Buck, so he'll know those kids. The Grunt house has many punching bags. One they had to start. One from Buzz (Buck took it when he left), one from Tank, now one from Zoe.

Loner:
Ajay Loner married Kristen Singles. Poor fellow will never earn his 100,000. Kristen topped the athletic career, though. They have a daughter. She's a teen. She's not especially attractive, and she doesn't have a lot of personality to me (three of the Hart kids have tons of it). She's slowly gaining skills. She's dating Lola Singles son, Justin.

Singles:
Kristen married Ajay - see above.
It took Lola forever to find a man she had chemistry with. Finally she seized a visiting professor. He was an elder, so I had no idea of his hair color. I'd fixed her DNA to make her half-alien and red-recessive and fixed the recessive eye color and such. Her professor turned out to be a family sim. He was good at making friends, though (and knew the college students already), so he helped promote Lola, and looked after little Justin. And all his skills were maxed, so he made Lobster to put into inventory for when the headmaster came. But he did live until Justin was a child, so that worked out. Chloe has been eldered for a long while. Justin wound up with skintone 4, black hair, and brown eyes (though I think they are alien eyes showing brown). Justin is trying to work on his body skills so he can earn lots of money. His girlfriend, Erica Loner, is also a fortune sim.

Erin also took a long time to find a man. She had two lightning bolts with Cooper Olf . . whatever, but they didn't get along. Then they met later and did get along. Moved him and found he was a romance sim. She got pregnant with either 6 or 7 days left until she became and elder. Cooper brought a hottub with him, and with the woohooing, he's pretty happy. He taught their son Aaron (yes, I named Erin's son Aaron) all his toddler skills and seems to make friends easily. Topped out the slacker career to become permaplat. Erin became a captain hero, but not until after she was an elder. Aaron has three lightning bolts with the second Hart child (twins, though), Michaela. I told him to check her out and glanced over they were in a romantic hug. He was a very attractive child turned okay-looking teen (his cheeks are a little big). Black hair, fair skin, blue eyes. She's rather pretty, too, though not gorgeous. She's a family sim and wants three kids. Fair skin, green eyes (I changed Matthew and Sarah's recessive traits, since they were having six kids), brown hair with a blond recessive. So hopefully I'll get a good mix out of their kids. Aaron is a neat person, and doesn't get along very well with Erica Loner.

Chloe wants 20 simultaneous lovers. Not going to happen. She's an elder and has only 10. And having a child put a crimp in her schedule. She and her daughter get along well, though. Dad is a blond, skintone-3, romance sim. Can't recall his name - it might be Abjheet something-or-other, but I'm not sure. Larissa is the girl's name. She is a a teen now, a fortune sim, because her mom was always broke, having a slacker career. She's also very pretty. Second prettiest kid in my hood (Theresa Curious being #1). Blond hair, brown eyes (again genetically alien, I think), skintone 3 and she just looks like she has the most lovely tan. She's dating Patrick Hart (from their second set of twins). They're both fortune sims, too. He's attractive (a clone of Michaela though - oops), and seems to have personality. She wants to get into private school, but they don't have the environmental or cooking skills for that.

Curious Family history:
Pascal had one child of the female sort, Galaxy. She is a spunky kid that is destined to marry the offspring of the Nigmos' family, Blott. Vidcund had no children and is currently trying to court Circe Beaker. Circe (currently) is having none of it, but that will soon change, when Loki dies. ;]
Lazlo, the last of the brothers, is currently engaged to a name long forgotten, they have not recorded any pregnancies. The three brothers (and one wife and one child) are running a nice home business, selling plants. Galaxy will take the business over when Blott moves in and the others die off. ^-^

Smith Family History:
Now now, the Smith's have had an iffy history as the documents were smuggled in between the lines of the Intergalactic Space Emissary Xelular (Alien Name) that goes by the initials SEX. Now, SEX usually is a great great corporation, but it was used at the wrong time throughout history. No time for SEX now, that's another pos- erm.. file.
Johnny moved out and moved into his love interest's home of Olivia Specter, his love interest was her niece, Ophelia Nigmos. Johnny and Ophelia had 2 children, Edith and Blott. They have a third on the way which they plan to name Ira.
Jill grew into a teenager, but she loves her parents, she'll take over the estate when they pass, which is soon. The mother (of a forgotten name) grew old, fast, she is close to dead. The father is further from death than her, but we'll see.

Nigmos family history:
Oh the Nigmos, with the most proficient of lots in town, they have the largest cemetery and more graves are being sent over as this file is being read. Olivia Specter died, gave all her money to Nervous. She always liked Nervous, hated Ophelia. So, Ophelia decided to give NOT being emo a chance. It worked inevitably, she got a charming husband 2 kids, and 1 belly bump. Their money is in the thousands (great for Strangetown ;P) and they are happy, for now.

Grunt Family History:
None specified, 'Racist pricks do not belong in Strangetown' is what's written on the outside of the folder.

Beaker Family History:
None specified. Boring families are boooorrriiinnggg is written on the front of the folder... weird.

Really? I never knew that, but how is Nervous still on the family tree?...Did Maxis make it a different way to fit Olive's mysterious neice in? Like they placed that as her memory and stuff but didn't remove him from the tree because Circe and Loki never actually adopted him to fit in their storylines?

Well here's what I did, this is a new ST so not much yet:
I married Tank Grunt to my sim Amber Ritchie, but Grunt suffered some glitch, All through college the school bus kept coming for him even thought he was in Uni. After Amber and Tank graduted the bus kept coming even Tank as an adult, then I noticed Amber was aging and Tank wasn't. Plus he couldn't get a job because "His grades weren't good enough". So I killed Tank because the glitch was annoying me, and he wasn't giving Amber a baby despite I made them have sex everyday.

Perhaps it has to do that I never touched the Grunt house before I sent Tank to college with Amber? It could be because of the script or something?

Ripp Grunt went out with Amber's younger and more bad girl sister, Melinda Ritchie. When Melinda grew up, she flirted with Buzz right in front of Ripp making him angry (Inteen is how Ripp still remebered the fact HE HAS A LOVER).

Erin Singles married Amber's favourite aunt Nancy and had a child with her, she just had a second child with that (I almost lost her and Amber's mother because of it...If they hadn't been on vacation with the family at a hotel...Both the mothers and unborn child would have never made it).

I paired Lola up with someone but can't remeber who..hmmm maybe another member of the Ritchie? lol, I know I paired Chloe up too because I like her or I thought of it.

I played the Curious brother a little bit too, Pascal and Vicund both had thier alien children (They are the ones scripted to have them aren;t they?), Lalzo got married to his girlfriend Crystal and that's all I have done so far.

Now I could tell you what I did before FT was unforently unistalled but I can't remeber lol.

I haven't played all the families yet, but I have played the Specter and Beaker family.
Specter family:
I tried to get Olive a date so that she could remarry someone else (I didnt notice she was gonna die 2 days later) So the matchmaker hooked her up with this blond guy. (cant remember his name) Anyway, I decided to lock the guy in the graveyard and kill him cause I thought it would be fun..... He died.
Ok, so Olive dies just after Ophelia turns into an adult. Ophelia falls in love with Tank, because for some weird reason in the game, Ophelia can't fall in love with Johnny (they can only be best friends, maybe cause he's an alien).

Beaker Family:
Thie is where the real fun starts. Circe takes pity on Nervous and ends up having a love affair behind Loki's back. One day, he caught them WooHooing when he got back.
Circe and Loki are mad at each other and they start fighting. They break up. Loki is out of the family (I didn't know that would happen cause I never broke anyone up before).
Circe and Nervous get married, have a baby.
Nervous ressurects his mom, Olive. Yay.
Olive ressurects the blond guy she dated. Yay.
I demolish the stairs to the basement and the blond guy gets stuck. He dies. He gets ressurected cheaply. He turns into a zombie. Olive gets aspiration points. lol

Just got out of it in game actually lol.
So far, johnny's grown up, and got engaged to still teen ophelia, but accidentally got her prego, So they moved in to ophelia's house because Johnny's parents wouldn't support a prego and unmarried couple. But Ophelia got to be very crabby and her and Johnny fought alot. Johnny ended up cheating on her, and they broke up.
(Hehe, Drama!)
Pascal hasn't had his baby yet, but will soon. And I'm going to pair up vidcund and Circe soon.
Olive specter killed Loki for stealing Nervous from her, and Nervous moved in as well. But only a day after, Olive died.
Circe is going to move Vidcund in with her. I may have them have a child or adopt. They'll continue what Circe and Loki started, with that child.
The smiths(Not including Johnny)-Jill is a going to be teen soon, as is the other child they adopted(Named Claire) Jill has a kitten, Claire a puppy. PT 9 and Jenny are both elders, and are going to celebrate their golden anniversary tomarrow.
I haven't done anything with the Singles or Ajay yet, any ideas?
The Grunts- I Buck is more bi. Lol. He's going to help free Circe and Vidcunds child later in life. And will go with whichever gender that is. ha. General Buzz is the same as game intended. I'm going to get him another young trophy wife though. Tank will follow in his fathers footsteps, and will be the head of the family, and will get all the inheiritance(other than the wife's)He'll later found a military school for teens and Children inspired by his 'unruly' brother and 'unnatural'brother. Ripp is one of my favorite charecters. I'll probably end up making him a girl, but he'll date a few other's before that, and probably meet the girl in college. lol.

I've been playing the Singles family.
I made a pointy eared fiancee for Chloe (I want a green baby with pointy ears born in-game) She's not so happy about being engaged, she's still got a lot of Woohoo with many sims Wants. She did pregnant (finally!) and had her baby yesterday. She an adorbale green baby girl (Jenna), but sadly, no pointy ears. I then realized that Jenna will need a green husband when she grows up to make more green babies, I wouldn't get her involved with Johnny Smith even if I could, that would be too weird.
Over to the Curious brothers!
Pascal just had his baby, a boy named G'Kar. Perfect for little Jenna. Even though they're 1/2 cousins, they should still be able to get married, right?
Anyway, the Curious house is hideous! 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and black tile everywhere? I could not grow up G'Kar there. So I decided that Pascal was so ashamed about being an unwed mother that he was going to abandon his baby. In the middle of the night he packed up all the baby furniture and the baby and went to the house of another family I created, the Who family featuring Rose and The Doctor!
So Rose comes home from work, the front yard is full of baby furniture, there is a little green baby on the sidewalk, and someone also left an extra $20,000! Good thing, because they needed to add a nursery and another bathroom.

Singles - To my surprise, Chloe had three bolts with Bluewater Village's Gilbert Jacquet so she, him, and his mom now all live together. Denise hates her and they're constantly beating each other up. They also have two kids but aren't married and constantly cheat on each other like good romance sims. Kristen is dating General Buzz. Erin and Lola are just there at the moment although I am thinking of hooking one of them up with Malcolm Landgraab in the hopes of weeding out the ugly gene in the Landgraab family. :lol:

Curious - Pascal had a little boy. Vidcund became a werewolf and then turned Lazlo. Vidcund is currently working on building himself a servo wife.

Specter - Olive became a vampire and, thanks to my vampire hack, killed Ophelia and then turned her into a zombie which was one of her wants. She also turned the maid into a zombie. Olive now periodically kills walkbys.

Beaker - Nervous set the kitchen on fire and since I have the "intense fire" hack, he and Loki were quickly killed. Circe went into aspiration failure after coming home to find them dead and then started rolling wants for Vidcund.

Smith - Johnny went off to college where he's in a dorm with Stella Terrano and Tank Grunt. Olive turned Pol. Tech. into a vampire. Jenny is pregnant. Jill has a crush on Ripp Grunt that I'll probably follow through on since they're my two favorites.

Grunt - Tank is in college with Johnny and Stella. Should be interesting. Ripp is best friends with Jill but currently dating just about every girl he meets since they all appear to be madly in love with him (he hasn't met a single girl yet that he hasn't had at least one bolt with). Buck is just sort of there. I haven't figure out what to do with him yet. He spends all of his time in his room painting autonomously. General Buzz is dating Kristen and will probably end up marrying her if either ever rolls a want to. I won't make them otherwise.

Well, a few days ago I got Pascal Curious and Nervous Subject married! Or, in my game, joined. So now they live in a nice little house with Pascal's Alien son Trystan. When I play them again, I'm going to have them adopt someone and probably get one of them alien eggo preggo.

Johnny Smith and Ophelia Nigmos (right?) are now adults and living in a house together. They're expecting their first kid, but I don't feel like getting them engaged just yet. :anime:

And I made a lovely new family who moved in by the Grunts. They have two teenage daughters, and when I download inTeen, there's going to be quite a scandal!

I was just wondering... well, I thought that you had to establish a sim's gender preference before they did any autonomous flirting. But what I've gathered from this thread most players' Nervous Subject showed an interest in Pascal without having a gender preference.

I started out playing custom hoods and am just now getting into the Maxis-made ones, so is this something Maxis intended as part of the story? Or am I wrong about the gender preference?

I have made a custom family in Strangetown... which is beginning to integrate itself into the neighbourhood now that my original CAS sim is a grandparent...

The Oakley Family

I made Estelle in CAS and moved her into Strangetown, and she was abducted by aliens twice (InSim) and had two children (several days inbetween each other); Dyana and Celeste.

When her daughters were teenagers, Estelle married a CAS sim I made for her; Windigo. They had several children together; Tallulah, Penelope and Palladin (twins), and Arabelle. Both Estelle and Windigo have the "Have 10 kids" want, as does Dyana, the eldest alien daughter... There will be many Oakley Sims at this rate.

Anyway, Dyana [the Sim in my display picture!] married Ripp Grunt and they had natural twins; Gabrielle and Gwendolyn. For some reason, Ripp's father, General Buzz, hates Dyana and keeps attacking her. Just as Vidcund keeps attacking Dyana's mother, Estelle. Meanwhile, Celeste married a NPC Sim with a top-level job, and they've recently had a son, Leroy, who is the 2nd male to be born in the family (counting both generations), compared to 7 females born!

For some reason, Ripp's father, General Buzz, hates Dyana and keeps attacking her. Just as Vidcund keeps attacking Dyana's mother, Estelle.!

G! In my game, Vidcund used to come down and yell at my CAS family, the Elari's. Maklar, a teen, and his Dad, Zabrikar used ti aim their telescope at the Curious house during the day and peep at them, and giggle while thinking of them. No wonder Videcund would run down there, right into their house and give them teh whatfor! And then one time, V came down day 3 preggers, and swam int heir pool before running off. G!

I'm not done with the Strangetown peeps yet -- Zabrikar married Crystan Vu, and now they have an infant son, Chyzandar. Maklar and his sister, Zahlria, aged up. Maklar is a handsome man, he still lives at home, because he gets on well with Crystal and the new baby. Z hasn't ever quite got on with Crystal.

Z is a little pointy in the nose, and with some weight on her appears thick with nice booty. Maybe that is why she attracted the attention of General Buzz. She had a thing for Johnny Smith, but after she and the General did the smustle together, she's been in love with Buzz, and he with her.

Johnny Smith aged up right away, and that put a little distance in his relationship with Ophelia. Well, Ripp Grunt moved in on that action, had a first kiss, and a dream date with her, and after date two asked her to go steady. He thinks he wants to fool around, but he hasn't been able to get it onw ith anyone but her yet. And that;s sad because she also aged up. Gee I wonder if Johnny has a second chance?

Tank had his first kiss with some kid named Danny that he brought home from work at the Paintball range. Girls like him, but I think more as a friend than anything else, and he only has eyes for Danny. Tank and Ripp fight tot he point where it is distracting. The whole family loves the karaoke machine Ophelia brought over.

The General realized he couldn't bring a bride home to "the Barracks", so he bought a stately home, already furnished, down the hill from the Beakers. Tank aged up, so he left Tank in the house, and moved to to the new house with Ripp and Buck.

Buck is just the best little kid. I just love him! He always wants to be read to, and is happy all the time.

Buzz doesn't get on really well with Zabrikar, but he likes Maklar. The wedding took place at his new estate, and they went on honeymoon.

Okay -- Pascal had a a little green daughter -- Solara. His creativityis off the charts so I got him an easel, he paints portraits. Vidcund had twin daughters, Aurora and Nova, both cute little green things. Haven't done much with them other than that. Oh, I gave Vidcund a makeover. Bleh on that old hair and glasses!

Nervous and the Beakers -- Nervous got a job in the military. He and Loki fight, (not as bad as Tank and Rip, but still) but they both love Circe. Despite their relentless work schdules, I managed to get them a woo-hoo together, and Loki and Circe are expecting. She is not happy about the crib I put in her beautifully furnished house. I had Nervous call OLive, and invite her over a few times, and she played chess with Circe and Loki -- after giving Circe the what for.

Olive adores Nervous, obviously. She invited him to Ophelia's birthday party. And Olive pretty much ignored that he fought with the birthday girl the whole time.

I've recently played the Curious brothers since I last reinstalled...

Pascal Curious
He gave birth to a baby girl, Clara. When she grew up to be a toddler, Pascal realised that his brother's home was not a very child-friendly place, and, instead of listening to his brother Vidcund's wishes to study the alien child, Pascal became very paternal and moved out to raise Clara in peace. He is in love with my controllable patient from the asylum challenge, Clea (who is an elder but now free!) and wants to marry her.

Vidcund + Lazlo Curious
Not long after Pascal moved out, Vidcund himself became pregnant with alien twins. He at first wanted to study them like he wanted to study Pascal's daughter, but now he is about to give birth he is suddenly becoming very motherly.

Vidcund decided to move out (if it was hard for one toddler, imagine two running around the place!) but the taxi for him to move out arrived at the same time as Lazlo's car pool to work, so by accident/glitch Lazlo moved out with him, thus they only have $20,000 between them instead of the $100,000 or so Lazlo would have inherited. Expensive glitch, really.

Anyway, all 3 Curious brothers are in love with Clea, but I think that I will match Clea with Pascal, possibly let Vidcund have an affair with Circe, and let Lazlo move in with his NPC girlfriend.

Well I've only played a little in Strangetown, and haven't done much, but so far it is as follows;

I made a sim that had knowledge aspiration that I planned to be a scientist, but soon my sim was getting older and I realised that if I wanted to continue playing this family then I would need her to have a child. I thought it would be great to have an alien baby because she is a scientist and all but I wasn't sure if getting abducted as a woman would get her pregnant (I know it does for guys) But either way I decided to get General Buzz Grunt to impregnate my sim, which he did. I didn't really plan for anything to come of them, I just wanted the child. I moved out my house thinking that I could afford a different one, but I couldn't and couldn't even afford my old house so I ended up moving in with the Grunt family. General Buzz Grunt married my sims in the end and they are having another child.

Thats all really. Wow that was long and had alot of unneeded detail.

Here is the quick synopsis of my Strangetown adventures. I am currently playing Strangetown "prosperity style". I've drawn a random order and play each lot for 1 sim week, I roll dice for aspirations, I do use the occasional cheat for story purposes. Ajay Loner
He's a workaholic, he's met and fell in love with Lola Curious-Smith (Singles). They plan on getting married soon.

The Grunts
General Buzz caught a cold coming home from work, he unintendedly died a few days later (using a deadlier disease mod). Tank became an adult and started dating his dead father's girlfriend, Ripp went to college and is currently in his second semester of sophomore year. Buck became a teenager and became family aspiration, he's currently going steady with Jill Smith.

Specter
Ophelia became an adult and moved out. Olive was aged down to adult and became a Vampire (she is my avatar), she got pregnant by the Grim Reaper and had a son Hadrian. She needed a daytime babysitter so she resurrected General Buzz Grunt as a zombie.

Singles
Chloe moved out. Lola is looking forward to marrying Ajay Loner. Erin started dating Nervous Subject. Kristen got pregnant by Ripp Grunt (now in college) and had a daughter named Vera.

Smith
Johnny became an adult and got engaged to Ophelia Nigmos, he moved to his own lot. Jenny and PT9 got aged back a couple days each so Jenny could get pregnant. She ended up having twins, James and Jessica (now toddlers). Jenny became an elder soon after their birth. Jill became a teen, rolled family, and is dating Buck Grunt.

Beaker
Loki and Circe had a son named Odin. Nervous started dating Erin Beaker (Singles) and hopes to marry his way out of the Beakers basement.

Chloe Curious-Smith (Singles)
Chloe moved to her own lot so she could be as romance simmy as she would like. She's slowly working on her LTW to WooHoo 20 sims and has so far had 5, including fellow romance sim Ripp Grunt.

Nigmos-Smith
Ophelia Nigmos and Johnny Smith moved in together after their engagement. Ophelia got pregnant right away and had a son named Tirian Nigmos. After his birth they got married, and are currently expecting their second child.

Ripp Grunt
Currently he's in his 2nd semester of sophomore year at La Fiesta Tech. He's woohooing up a storm with about half of his female dorm mates as well as 2 professors, Kristen Loste (singles), the female streaker, and Chloe Curious-Smith (Singles). He's majoring in Literature and hopes to someday become a Rock God.

That's about all so far, though I've done massive make-overs for all the La Fiesta Tech students and trying to decide if I want to play them through college at the moment. I might move them through slowly for some fresh blood in town . . . eventually.

Olive Specter died after Ophelia Nigmos got married to Jonny Smith and they had a baby girl :D Ophelia ressurected a lot of her ancestors from the graveyard in their garden for a celebration.
Daisy, I think her name is (the baby girl), has just grown into a teenager (yes, I skipped out on her childhood) and I haven't played the Grunts in awhile so I think she's going out with Rip even though her mother, Ophelia, went out with him for a time. :loco: :lol:

Strangetown is my second favorite neighborhood (after Pleasantview). I've focused mainly on the Beaker and Spector families, thanks to a Sims Wikia that gave me somewhat of an interesting backstory to work with. With this post, I'll just go over the Beaker household.

Loki - Devoted to his wife, Loki harbored a mad crush on a fellow co-worker, Lazlo Curious. It was only when Circe, his wife, became pregnant with what he thought was his first child that things abruptly changed. He embarked on a passionate affair with Lazlo that has lasted through the birth and supposed 'deaths' of the little girls and beyond...

His hand are tied: Stay with the adoring wife that has endured so much tragedy or go with the man that has captured his heart so throughly...

Circe - Bored with her life, Circe embarked on what she thought was a mutual love affair with her adoptive son, Nervous. Everything was fine (well, as fine as it could be considering the circumstances) until the day she found out she was pregnant. Of course, Loki assumed that they were his... and she gave birth to twin daughters Artemis and Persephone.

Trying to figure out a way to hide her deception (the girls were starting to look more and more like Nervous), her problems were abruptly solved when in the dead of night, Nervous took the (newly aged) toddlers and moved out. When Loki came in from work and inquired to their wherabouts, she coldly told him that they had died in a tragic housefire...

Now, she is trying to move on with her life. Her next move: to get pregnant once more...this time with Loki's child...

Nervous - Tired of living under the Beakers' tyranny, Nervous hatched a devious plot. He intended to seduce Circe and shatter her marriage by informing Loki by informing him of the affair. Obviously, that plan didn't work out very well... he realized soon enough that he was hopelessly in love with Circe. She gave his greatest gift in giving him his precious daughters...all the while, telling him that they would be a family.

Once he finally realized that she was just stringing him along, he took the girls and moved to a home across the street from the home of his elderly, ailing birth mother, Olive Spector. Scorned and somewhat bitter, he spent his days working and taking care of his daughters...

Things were fine until the the morning Orphelia, his cousin, comes over to see him. Obviously..it is not a healthy, typical relationship...but will she be able to teach him how to love again...or will his heart be crushed once more?

The Beaker Household

Loki cheated on his wife for a while and then "mysteriously" died... while his wife Circe was pregnant.

She quickly met back up with Vidcund and married him. She had a boy (I named him Pluto), just around the same time Pascal, who had moved in with them, had his baby girl Stella. She got pregnant again with Vidcund's kid... I think it was a boy. I don't remember.

Pluto grew up into a child and tried to resurrect his father, but didn't pay enough, and so Loki came back as a zombie. He was insanely jealous of Vidcund and caused much chaos. They got in a fight and Loki died again (go figure). So now I have a zombie ghost floating around the lot, haunting the bed he cheated on his wife in. When the Grim Reaper visited, he impregnated Circe with identical twin girls, who are named Destiny and Eternity.

Pascal, being a hardcore scientist, experimented a lot on his daughter Stella. She eventually had enough and set him on fire - but miraculously, he was rescued by Nervous, who turned out to be his secret lover. They moved out together after Nervous begged for freedom.

Pluto and Stella grew up into teens, and fell in love. I'm pretty sure that's not legal but I couldn't be bothered at the time. Stella got pregnant and produced little Apollo, who basically was adopted by Circe. Eventually, Stella freaked out and ran away and never came back even though I called the police.

The end.

The Grunt and Smith Households

Buzz Grunt was being extra rough on his son Tank in the hopes of toughening him up. Even though his father hated them, Tank frequently slipped away to visit Johnny Smith and his family. Both of them grew up, and Tank fell in love with Johnny.

Meanwhile, Buck was tired of being ignored and grew up to be very ornery. When Johnny and Tank had a falling out, Buck started dating Johnny's sister Jill. They ran away together, and Jill had three children, Jack, Buzz, and Molly. After a while, Jill decided she'd had enough and kicked Buck out.

Speaking of family ties, after Johnny's Dad died, his mother Jenny went through a midlife crisis and started dating General Buzz. A satellite landed on her as she was stargazing, and Buzz died of old age.

Johnny, efficiently devoid of all family, started dating Lazlo Curious. Because Lazlo is a scientist, he tries to experiment on Johnny (he's an alien, hello!). Johnny gets pregnant and threatens to leave for the safety of his one-fourth alien offspring, and so Lazlo relents. Johnny has triplets... I can't remember what I named them after.

The Specter Household

The old lady died, and Ophelia went crazy, hence why she broke up with Johnny. Eventually, after a mysterious fire-death of Circe, she adopts two twin girls, Destiny and Eternity.

Actually, this is my favorite neighborhood, and with a little tweaking in SimPE I rock this little town!
(By the way, my username means space alien in Japanese. Uchuu means 'outer space' and 'jin' is, basically, person. So an American would be an Amerikajin-- the Japanese language does not have 'c's.)

My favorites are the Curious brothers, because I love alien babies. (Also, I am part of a trio of three sisters, and the idea of three brothers amuses me.)

First, I give the three brothers face lifts, and copy those changes to their DNA in SimPE. I also have the multiple pollination technician hack and a better-looking replacement of said aliens. That done, I start playing.

The aliens that Pascal, Vidcund and Lazlo have are all girls except the youngest, because I find the idea of three bachelors dealing with a bunch of teenage girls amuses me a great deal. Also, the one boy will be harassed and dressed up like a little lady for most of his toddler/child years. :D However, this childhood trauma does not deter his innate straightness. (Unfortunately. But I WILL have gay/lesbian aliens later, because they are awesome!)

A also let the black widow lady (I forget her name) die of old age, and send Ophelia off to college. Then I move all of those graves to a community graveyard--which is, by the way, SO much better than the Downtown graveyard--and renovate dead end lane(I can remember the name of her house, but not her name... pssh), and leave it open... for now.

Then I send Johnny and the Grunt boys off to college, and move them and Ophelia into a dorm. I'll (quickly, because they're kind of boring) move them through college.

Also, I kill off that guy with blonde hair and a big chin, because he sucks. But! Circe is preggo with his (ugly) baby! She has a girl who's DNA is also liberally tampered with, and ends up a knowledge sim... and moves into Dead End Lane eventually. She might be the newest black widow, or a witch, now that I have Apartment Life. Or both. Zombie husband? I don't know. Probably not, because I have that Zombie Apocalypse hack by Pescado... and he would attempt to EAT HER BRAINS, which would not be good.

Then I marry Nervous to the fake Bella Goth (heh~!) and they start a family, soon enough...

I also like to play Stella Terrano, because, quite frankly, she's my favorite. She will have babies with the male alien Curious later on. I give her a face lift, too, and change her DNA. She'll go through college having awesome parties and the best grades... Then she and Antares (or whatever I end up naming him) have a scat-ton of uber-cute babies that later overrun Strangetown, and cause a complete ruckus.

And that's how I start out my favorite neighborhood. I say 'start out' in the present tense, because I have had to re-install my game a bajillion times and mostly forget to make a backup. -_-;;

By the way... does anyone know where I can get a copy of an un-played Strangetown to replace my current (messed-up) one? Or if there is a way to restart it without restarting all my other 'hoods?

I have a Strangetown story, which is currently on generation 2. All of the sims there that started out as teens are now adults, with (mostly) teenage kids themselves.

My favorite family has to be the Grunts. I find all of them attractive in their own unique way- even Buck. :P

Speaking of Buck, mine isn't gay- he's with Jill Smith. After me trying to make them try for baby about ten times, I gave up and made them adopt an adorable CAS alien sim named Benji. I do plan on making them have their own kid sometime in the future though.

Ripp lives alone in this awesome bachelor pad. He has a daughter (Regina, a child), whose mother is Ophelia Nigmos-Smith. Regina was raised by Johnny and I'd like to think that she has no idea that Ripp is her real father. All she knows is that she's an albino alien. Although he does live alone, he's almost always at my self-sim's house. She cheats on her husband (townie Blair Mace) with him! :lol:

The Terrano-Grunt family is by far my favorite house to play in all of Strangetown. Tank and his wife Stella met in college and almost instantly fell in love.

After they graduated, they got married and had two children- Bunker and Marina, now teens. Those two are my favorite sims in the whole game. I have adult clones of them in all of my neighborhoods, and Bunker can be seen in my avatar. In Strangetown, Marina is in a relationship with my Selfsim's eldest daughter Olivia. My selfsim's middle daughter Julia is pursuing Bunker, but for his pre-destined occupation and not love.

Tank also got himself abducted and now has a son named Roswell (AKA Roz), who is a toddler now.

General Buzz is alive and kicking as an elder. He recently married Renee Andrews, who was a Strangetown Townie in the military career track. In my story, Buzz is still a general and will not retire until he finds somebody to take his place. He is very disappointed in all of his sons, because none of them wanted to follow in his footsteps (Tank became a space-pirate instead). So, he looked to his grandson Bunker who he has put through rigorous training like his father before him.

Pascal and Nervous Subject pretty much autonomously fell in love (without ACR!) right after Pascal's son Maxis was born. Vidcund got pregnant with twins, and their names are Dill and Gherkin. Max is a teen now and the twins are children.

Funny thing happened with Max. You see, there was this one time when I first realized that there was a "look at the stars" option without a telescope... So I had him do it, and he got killed by a satellite! Luckily, Pascal was able to bail him out of that mess. He ended up getting stuck on one of the platforms that nobody was able to reach, and was there for the longest time while I just laughed my butt off. :P When I finally used moveobjects_on to remove them, I decided it was best to move him and Pascal to a house next door instead- it was getting way too crowded!

Maxis is Bunker's best friend, and although ACR thinks he's straight, I think he's definitely in-the-closet. He's obsessed with the hula, and wants to open his own hair salon (he's constantly getting wants that have to do with the makeover station!). He also stalks around Bunker like crazy and hugs him to death. I seriously thinks he has a crush on him. XD

Lazlo is still with Crystal Vu and is looking for a way out of the science career track. He wants to achieve having five top level businesses, which he hopes to accomplish with his business partner/nephew Max. His first target is taking over the night club P.U.R.E, which he is a DJ at on the weekends.

The singles girls live with Abhijeet Turner, a romance sim townie who my simself has been dating on and off since they were teens (and now, actually :P). Three of them, with the exception of Lola, have at least two bolts with him. They're constantly fighting over his attention!

I haven't really played the other families, although I did have PT 9 and Jenny had two more kids, named Jimmy (a young adult) and Jacob (now a teen). Jacob is surprisingly very attractive, considering who his father is.

Whew, that was a lot to say! I like hearing about Maxis pre-mades because we all have them and most of us play them totally different. It's amusing when we do some of the same things too!

I just had a huge wedding today for Johnny Smith and Stella Terrano. They lived together during college and Johnny proposed a few days after they graduated. Two sim-days after their wedding (where Stella took Johnny's last name) they had a baby girl, Jane, born with alien eyes and black hair, since I made Johnny have black hair and Stella a blonde. All of their friends and family were there, except Johnny's uncles, because in my game he's never met them and therefore doesn't know them. All during the reception, Stella kept swooning over Ripp Grunt, who is still in college. Also during the reception, Olive Specter got in multiple fights with one of Johnny's professors from college.

I never played much with Strangetown, but due to the MegaHood, I started playing with it and I really like it. Haven't played all the families yet and I only play 4 days a round, but this is what happened up til now:

Smith
Not much happened here. Johnny went to college. Jenny Smith got pregnant again, but hasn't delivered yet. Pollination Technician #9 got sick from the cockroaches. Since I have a sickness mod I quarantained (sp?) him because I was afraid he would infect his pregnant wife. So almost the whole play session he was locked up in Johnny's old bedroom. Luckily he didn't die and got better. Jill made friends with Buck Grunt and turned into a teen.

Terrano
Stella Terrano fell in love with Blossom Moonbeam at college. Now they are linving in an apartment in Strangetown. Since I use no20khandout, they needed a loan for paying the furniture and the rent. Stella has a job and hopefully will be able to pay the loan off very soon, so they can buy a house. Blossom took in the Critturs and focuses on breeding. Since the training of the dogs take a lot of time, she doesn't have a job. When the puppies grow up, she will sell them and thereby contribute to the funds.

Grunt
Tank Grunt went to college. Ripp made out with Kirsten Loste. Halfway through the round he also went to college. Buck Grunt turned teen and the General just worked.

Curious
Pascal got a baby. Nothing much happened (only played them for a day, still have to go back and finish).

Specter
I don't use the storyline of Nervous being held captive by the Beakers, so I made him move in with Olive, his mother. Ophelia went to college. Nervous fell in love with Pascal Curious, they are now engaged. Olive Specter died at the end of the round.

Singles
All the girls got jobs. Chloe Curious-Smith fell in love with Ajay Loner. That's about it, since I only played them one day.

La Fiesta Tech
In college Johnny Smith is partying a lot. He loves giving parties. Lately his grades aren't very high anymore (I play the students according to their wants, if there are no wants for skilling or studying, they won't). While he was still dating Ophelia he also kissed another girl, but has decided he loves Ophelia and will stay faithful to her. Ripp and Ophelia will join him soon in the dorms.
One of the playables, Phinaeus fell in love with Frances J. Worthington (since reading Strangetown, here we come (http://strange-tomato.livejournal.com/) Frances will always be gay in my game). Right now they are in a steady relationship.

That's all I played. I still have to play the Beakers, Ajay Loner and finish my session with the Singles and the Curious brothers. I will also play all the playables from La Fiesta Tech (or make them fail college and let them 'move away')

I wanted to have post apocalyptic hood, but I didn't want to create a new one( lack of patience) I re loaded my Strangetown and I actually find this hood perfect for all sort of post apocalyptic events. I haven't done much yet, mainly walking around rebuilding. Building are half destroyed and/or abandoned, so imagine the fun I'm having. I didn't play any one other than Grunts yet and i just moved them to better home.

Curious Household

Pascal had a little boy who I named Isaac, and everyone in the house thinks he's the cutest thing ever. Vidcund taught him how to talk. Vidcund is also pregnant. I want to hook Lazlo up with Crystal Vu, since he has a giant crush on her. Pascal decided to try for a blind date, but he ended up with Sarah Love from La Fiesta Tech. She's engaged to Matthew Hart, so it didn't work out.

Specter/Nigmos

Olive died of old age, without ever seeing Ichabod's ghost. Nervous got her inheritance. Ophelia fell in love and had a dream date with Ripp Grunt. She's now attending La Fiesta Tech and really wants to engaged to him.

Grunt

Tank and Ripp went to college, but decided to stay in the same dorm. A lot of fights have happened. Ripp is in love with Ophelia, but being a Romantic Sim, he doesn't want to get engaged. (I will make them!) Buck and Jill are best friends.

Smith

I didn't have Uni when Johnny grew up, so he didn't go to college. He moved to his own house, and decided to have a blind date. He ended up with Andrea Ng, who is a dormie from La Fiesta Tech. He is head over heels in love. Jenny decided to get a job in the Historian career (I got that off this site), but isn't doing too well in it.

Loner/Singles

I ended up combining these households. All the girls wanted to get Ajay for themselves, but Lola won, making her sister not too happy. Ajay and Lola moved out, but Lola has rejected Ajay twice for engagement. Chloe, very upset, decided to try for a blind date, and was somewhat successful. Unfortunately, Kristen also fell for the guy, and they've been fighting recently.

Beaker/Subject

I immediately moved Nervous out, but he has yet to find love. Circe is pregnant with twins who I plan having Loki experiment on.

Well, I started the neighborhood again. This time I allowed some free will--which is hard for me. :) I have a tendency to over-control my sims. So far...

Loner~I wanted him to hook yo with Lola, but Kristen Singles was part of his welcome wagon. She flirted with him (thanks, ACR) and he fell...hard. They had a dream date and are engaged.

Now, I am off to try the Curious family.

You guys are making me want to actually play Strangetown. I never got into it, since I started out with the DS version of Sims 2, and all it has is Strangetown. The aliens in that game abducted you and made your "sanity" (like one big need bar) go down and you had to shoot them with something, I forget, but I was little and very traumatized by it, so I never wanted to play Strangetown when I got it for PC.

I won't go through everyone from my first Strangetown game as it is, sadly, history due to the laptop going comatose.

There was, however, one person in that game that totally blew me. I had a rather negative attitude towards General Grunt when I started, but it all changed with his lifetime wish. To my surprise he didn't want to be a general at all and after a demotion he quit and went for his dream of becoming a Rock God. (His former superiors likely would have blamed his insanity on the alien abduction, but the LTW was there ready when I started.)

Specters- I made Olive Specter retire from her job, and Ophelia got 2 scholarships (No living parent scholarship and the good grades) and moved her to college.
Smith- Johnny and Jill both get A+ and Johnny is an overachiever before I sent him college and moved him in with Ophelia. They're now engaged. I also had Pollination Technician 9 get a job in the medical career, so that he'll have something to do
Grunt- Tank and Ripp goes to college. Ripp becomes best friends with Ophelia and Johnny and left Tank to move in with them
Subject- Nervous got a job and moved out from the Beaker's household to live on his own. He met Erin singles and got engaged with her
Singles- Kristen & Erin becomes best friends. Kristen got a job in the business career, while Chloe got one in the Slacker career. Erin and Lola is still looking for a job.

I love Strangetown 8D I made too many babies and I'm in the process of killing them off xD so Strangetown doesn't become too over populated. And one day it shall be overrun with cute red headed aliens! I hope you can follow my families xD I am in the process of making them all uncomplicated. So sorry its long!

SMITHS/SPECTOR
Olive died, so did PT#9 and Jenny. Johnny and Ophelia got married and had two kids - Willow and Oliver (both alien skinned). Ophelia unfortunately died at an early age due to fright. Johnny remarried to a maid and had a son named P.T. (guess what the initials are :D) and they both died, so Willow is raising P.T. Both of them are probably not gonna make it that long xD
Oliver married a maid as well and has twin daughters Ophelia and July (not aliens!). I'm keeping this family as they are for now since they are cute
Jill kept the Smith house and married AJ Loner and had two kids - Shakira and Kumaar.

SINGLES/TELLERMAN
Kristen Singles died. Erin got married to Ripp Grunt (who had woohoo with every Single girl! ;D) Chloe got knocked up by Nervous Subject and had a son named Kurt. Kurt married Bella Goth! But then he died :cry: Chloe got married to some fireman with the last name Tellerman and had twin aliens Kenny and Kim. They are redhead and so adorable! I definitely will be keeping them xD Chloe and her husband both died though and the twins moved in with their aunt Lola, who had an alien daughter named Polly (who is dead now) and their uncle Matt. Matt and Lola have a daughter.

GRUNT/PICASO
The Grunt and Picaso family are both milirary-ish. So I decided to break Jessica and Matt up. Jessica married Buzz Grunt and Matt married a townie who had a daughter already and they had a son named Vincent who loves to paint and has 20 girlfriends. (oh and a daughter!) Matt and his wife died.
Jessica and Buzz had twins. Their boy twin died as a teen. Jessica, Buzz, and Buck all died. Marie, Ripp, and Tank are the living ones. Marie got knocked up by the Grim Reaper and is pregnant. Tank married a CAS and had a son, Chip II. Ripp had a daughter with Bella Goth but married Erin Singles. Erin and Ripp had a son and a daughter together. Erin had an affair with Tank, but it ended with her and Ripp's death. I loved Ripp :cry: and at least his genes are well into the gene pool of ST. Their kids are adults now.
Tank had three other wives, and currently is on his fourth (who cheats on the poor guy with Vincent Picaso).

CURIOUS/BEAKER
Pascal had his alien daughter Stella and married Nervous. Nervous and Pascal adopted Ashlee and had Fred. Ashlee had a daughter who lives with Joey Grunt (Ripp's son). Fred tragically died by a satellite crashing on his head. You may think that is the end of the Nervous gene but wait! Pascal dies of old age. Stella (his daughter) married Nervous and they had twin girls! One is an alien the other has her dad's skin. Both have alien features and are pretty much really ugly but quite the characters.
Vidcund and Circe got married after Loki's death and had a daughter. Vidcund also had an alien daughter.
Lazlo had a daughter with Bella Goth and lives with his daughter and her half sister. Bella Goth died. Lazlo remarried to Crystal Vu and they had another daughter.

Long story short here are the remaining Sims of Strange Town that I will keep () are parents:

I've been playing Pleasantview since I first got the game, as I've always found Strangetown a bit boring. But lately I've been wanting something new and fresh, so I ended up playing it anyway...

I've been trying to time all lots so that they all correspond with each other. Right now we're in the second week...

The Specters: I sent Ophelia off to college, where she ended up with a black widow(er) legacy sim of mine and Stella Terrano; she had the time of her life and flirted around with all the hot guys on (and off!) campus, but ended up pregnant (I cheated, of course :D) with Johnny Smith's baby... then her grades went downhill, so she's currently in danger of being kicked out of school.

I had some fun with Olive killing off every townie that dared enter her lot for a while, but it got repetitive in the end. So I made her adopt a kid (which didn't really work, so I summoned one via Tombstone of L&D), Zara, which is almost as creepy as she is... she's completely secluded from the rest of the neigborhood, and if she tries to bring a friend home, Olive kills her/him. She's trying to raise Zara to be like herself, but time is running out and soon Olive's dear friend the Grim Reaper is going to come for her...

The Beakers: Loki and Circe's married life bored me, so I made Circe get knocked up and had Loki die. Nervous then became sort of like Circe's personal butler, and cleaned the house, prepped the meals and took care of her fugly daughter, Kiley, while Circe earned the big bucks like the workaholic she is. Circe then starved for some love, so she more or less raped Nervous one morning (he was desperate anyway, after his disastrous date with Chloe Curious that ended with a catfight in public), and got knocked up again, whilst falling madly in love with Nervous (who for some reason doesn't have feelings for her at all).

Then Vidcund Curious proposed to her the second time around, and just to make Nervous jealous (he was sitting at the breakfast table with them), she accepted. (And by a hilarious coincidence, Nervous chose that exact moment to get up and fart right in Vidcund's face.) So now Vidcund is about to move in in a couple of days, and he thinks that Circe's newborn twins (Danilo and Jude) are his...

The Curious: Sort of like Full House gone alien. Pascal gave birth to two adorable twins, Kylee and Willard, that all the Curious brothers (and occasionally the Smiths that'd come over for random visits) raised together; they're now children. Vidcund is engaged to Circe, and also got abducted by aliens, and also gave birth to twins, now aged toddlers (Celia and Leonel), two fugly screaming kids that nobody except their own father likes. Lazlo married Chloe Curious (who was the one to propose, actually -- SHE wanted to get married real bad, imagine that...), and they've been trying to have kids for ages, but what with all the kids in the house, it's sort of hard. Well, Vidcund is about to move out anyway, so...

The Grunts: Tank went off to college straight away, where he has become an excessively boring chess player and straight A's student (his idea of starting on a new page and getting friends ended with him becoming enemies with half the campus during the welcoming party at Tri-Fuhm). He's currently fancying a girl with a ridiculous sense of fashion and a knack for playing chess as often as he does.

Meanwhile, at home, General Buzz has gotten engaged to Crystal Vu, but he also has a crush on his fellow colleague. Crystal, meanwhile, is cheating like CRAZY with Lazlo Curious (but got caught during his wedding party when she tried to French him in front of her husband...). Ripp just went off to college after several stormy love affairs, and Buck is now currently dating one of Ripp's ex-girlfriends (who's also Buck childhood best friend). He's a straight A's student and just as boring as his eldest brother, though I might make that change... General Buzz and Crystal also had two horrible brats, Dennis and Doyle, who're now kids. Dennis is just as boring as Buck and Tank (does that run in the family, or what?) but Doyle is bringing home (female) friends from school almost everyday... hmm...

The Loners: Ajay is a successful businessman who's engaged to Kristen Singles, who's currently expecting his child, but she caught him cheating at Lazlo's and Chloe's wedding reception when he started Frenching her best friend, Lola Singles. Poor Kristen, after she had just gotten herself out of a long-term depression due to her lack of a love/social/work life, too...

The Singles: There's just Erin and Lola left in the house. Erin, tired of being single, proposed to her colleague and best friend, though she can't quite forget Ripp Grunt... Lola, on the other hand, is so focused on her career she doesn't even have time to date -- but she still somehow managed to find time to bed her best friend's husband... oh well.

The Smiths: Johnny left for college, where he's one of the most popular guys on campus -- he's part of the Oresha-whatsits fraternity and knows everyone who is someone. But he isn't quite ready to be a dad yet...

Everything was well back at home. PT9 and Jenny were surprisingly cool with the aspect of becoming grandparents this early and even prepped a room for the coming baby, when all of a sudden, PT9 got too old and died. Jenny grieved like crazy for a day, and then started to date like a hormonal teen. She was so desperate that she wound up on several disastrous dates before she fell in love (after half a day...) with a guy who had read the newspaper outside her door, and he moved in the next day. Jill is the most popular girl in school and is dating a childhood friend of hers (not Buck, she finds him unattractive -- I tried making them kiss, and they stopped being friends for a while after that), but she's highly disgusted with her mother and her mother's boy-toy (who's about the same age as Johnny), and just wants to get out of the house and go to college.

What have I done with Strange Town? Well lets start out with the Specter family.

After Ophelia grew up she was married to a custom sim I made named Landi. Landi took the specter last name in this "joined union". Being both girls they adopted three kids, two girls and one boy. They live together in the old specter house, raising their children next to Olive's old grave yard. When I finally found out that Nervous was Olive's child she took him from the Beaker house hold and they both moved in to a small house at the very edge of strange town. She felt bad for neglecting him as a child and leaving him with those nasty Beakers and so is raising him again, working a job as a crossing guard while Nervous sits and home and does nothing but pee on the floor, break the shower and read in his diary. Nervous did get married to an equally nervous lady sim that I made to compliment him named Nancy. but Olive hated Nancy and left her to fix a television that electrocuted her. Nervous was heart broken but married the rather lovely Jill Smith (who I aged through boolprop) and they adopted Charlie, a little girl. Jill now takes care of Nervous and works as a teacher while Nervous does his best to raise their little girl.

Jenny Smith divorced Polly Tech 9 because he could no longer give her the baby that she desired and she was seeing Buzz. Johnny dropped out of College as he found Kristen Singles, who he married right away. No children yet but they live together in their old house with his Father, because Polly Tech 9 was slightly unstable after his wife broke up with him.

Jenny Smith married Buzz Grunt. Tank grunt was hit with lightening on the second day of the Grunt honeymoon vacation and died. Jenny and Buzz had another child named Kara. Who is now just a child but gets along splendidly with Buck. Both Buck and Ripp turned out too be Gay. Ripp married Pascal curious, who was a zombie since he too was electrocuted and then brought back to life by his loving spouse. And Lazlo Curious married Crystal Vu. Pascal and Ripp are raising their alien baby together which has been named Misfit.

Ajay Loner Married Bella Goth. Who is now Bella Loner. They have twins named Fabio and Franchesca. Both of whom look like their mother.

Circe and Loki went on a long vacation after loosing their favorite test subject, Nervous, to his mother Olive. On this vacation to Takemezu village they re-kindled a passionate love. Needless to say Circe came home pregnant, and gave birth to two baby girls! Named Naiomi and Lottie. The beakers have given up as evil scientists and are now living in a redecorated home, they are peaceful and zen-loving and wear kimonos when ever they can.

Though Circe and Loki are in love, Vidcund Curious is also in love with Circe. He invites her over regularly and tries to seduce her. She is falling slowly for him but she also loves Loki and has to choose. She is still staying with loki but she now gives into Vidcund's seduction more easily.

Lola and Erin singles are engaged, they both hated being single so much, why not make a cutsie lesbian couple together. Sanjay and Prya Ramaswami have moved in with them. Sanjay fell for Chloe Singles and broke up with Prya for Chloe. Chloe and Sanjay are now marred and Prya regularly fools around with both Lola and Erin.

Well, fooled around. After a time Prya and Misfit Curious (Pascal's son) fell in love and got married. They have moved out of the Singles household and are starting a new life together. Misfit works as the mayor of the town while Prya lounges about the house surrounded by maids and nannies who watch over their four daughters, Nan, Lynn, Gabby, and Hortensia.

I was having a birthday for his daughter Jill and Johnny has moved out and was invited, all of a sudden PT#9 just proposed to him out of the blue!!! This should not be possible. LOL :rofl:

I actually have only played the Beakers, and even then, my only Sim I played was Nervous Subject, who I renamed Thomas Littleton. I formed a story for him and made a sim in CAS called Sarah Jacobs for him. She comes into the story, they fall in love with 3 lightning bolts, woo! And then he moves in with her after Circe and Loki run away because they thought they killed Thomas. Tom and Sarah just had twin boys, Danny and Christopher. And Olive Spector moved in with them, leaving Opheila at home, and then Olive died! *gasp* wasn't expecting that. I haven't played the Spector house since, does that mean that Ophelia will be taken away now?
I did play the Grunt house just a little. I got sick of Tank and ... Ripp's? Constant fighting, so I made them best friends. I decided they needed a mommy, so I am working on getting Buzz to date Erin Singles.

Ophelia's a teen and can live on her own. If you look in your Simbin, you'll find the Newson family, consisting of two teens, two kids, and two toddlers - difficult to run, but possible. Ophelia is on the verge of growing up anyway. When I played the Strangetown premades during my experimental phase, Olive dropped dead at the same moment that Ophelia aged to an adult. Wrecked the party, but I didn't know how to do them yet and it wasn't going well anyway.

Wow, I was a little surprised that some people didn't like that fantasy aspects of the game and/or did not like a great deal of the pre-made famillies.

My favorite house is actually the Curious house because I love knowledge sims, I love aliens, and their house is just freaking cool! So they were always the first house I ever played.

My Strangetown right now looks like this:

Back at the Beaker house, I had Nervous fight with Loki for all the years of abuse, throwing water in his face and those interactions (couldn't believe they were keeping him in the basement, but hey they are evil scientists). Nervous packed his stuff and moved in back home with Olive.

Nervous spent the last two days of Olive's life making friends with his mother and getting close to her. He also became good friends with Ophelia (who doesn't recognize him as a family member, what the hell? fixed that in simPE). Then Ophelia moved out on her own.

Nervous later got lonely in the old house and also got tired of the ghosts, so he moved in with his best friend Pascal. Since Nervous leans toward guys anyway, I had him marry Pascal and cheated to give them a daughter named Twitchy, who looks just like Nervous.

Meanwhile, the Curious brothers were each abducted and had an alien child. Pacal had a boy named Gellar, Vidcund had a girl named Zephra, and Lazlo had a boy named Windstrum.

It eventually got so hectic with eight sims in the house that Lazlo moved out with his son. He married a college professor (he and Crystal Vu came to hate each other), was abducted again, and had a second alien child, a girl named Lazla.

Let me point out that all the alien girls were beautiful, but Gellar and Windstum were hideous with huge bug eyes. I make them wear sunglasses, and it suits them anyway since Gellar is a money sim always dressed formally and Windstrum is lazy and artistic. Lol.

Gellar went to college and fell in love with Loki and Circe's daughter Artemis, who looks exactly like her father. The poor girl looks like Loki in drag. I'm thinking of making her a vampire when she returns home to the castle because she really looks the part with those sunken cheeks.

I always have one CAS family that I make each time I play Strangetown, and Windstrum fell in love with their daughter. Zephra, meanwhile, is in love with Buck Grunt, and Ripp Grunt is being the playboy with Stella Terrano while at college. (Ripp is so cute right now, I gave him a ponytail and mustache, lol).

I resurrected Lyla Grunt, but when I realized she had absolutely no interest in reconnecting with her children, I decided to kill her again. Contrary to popular belief, Romance sims can get interested in their famillies and really become devoted to them. I have a romance sim with three kids and a spouse that she adores in Pleasantview and she thinks about them and wants things for them, even though her second aspiration is not family. Lyla Grunt is another story. All she could think about was messing around. She didn't even care that she had been reunited with her family. She is also very grouchy, so each time I tried to make her hug Buck, kiss him, play with him, or even talk to him, she would complain. I eventually got sick of her refusal to love her family after a while and had her die in a fire.

Tank grew up to marry a townie who was just like his mother: a blonde romance sim who actually walks around in his mother's dress. Buzz is disturbed by this, but has said nothing since Tank is doing his part around the house, is a great soldier, and seems happy with his life.

Johnny Smith grew up to join the military too. He married Ophelia Nigmos and took her awesomely weird last name. They are living together next door to the Smiths and have a son named Cronos Nigmos. I named him Cronos to sound like Creon Nigmos, basically. Their son looks just like Johnny and has inherited the green alien skin from his father. But to be honest, I think both Johnny and Ophelia carry alien DNA. Creon Nigmos has very alien features: the large eyes, the tiny nose, the spacious forehead. I can't remember if there was a p. technician on the Nigmos family tree, but even if it's not revealed in the game, I think it's true.
EDIT: Nevermind. I was thinking of Dina and Nina's family tree.

Jill fell in love with a CAS alien of mine and is at college with him. She'll most definitely have a green kid given both their strong alien DNA.

I had Lola and Chloe living with Ajay Loner and fighting over him until Lola eventually fell in love with someone else and moved out. Chloe is still in love with Ajay and they live together as vampires, running their own beauty salon. I think I'll make them "mortal" again though because the vampire look does not suit aliens.

Erin Beaker and Kristen Loste (the singles) are living together as lovers after walking out on the Curious/Smith girls.

Oh, and Vidcund and Circe are enemies right now. Circe came to Gellar's birthday party because she and Pascal are friends. I had Vidcund basically throw himself at her for my amusement (I micromanage) and she wound up hating him, naturally. But the really funny thing is, Loki has no clue it happened, so he and Vidcund are best friends! Meanwhile, he still beats the snot out of Pascal every chance he can get. (and I think Pascal's nerdiness is cute. I left him the way he is. Lazlo is also cute, while Vidcund is ugly. And the hilarious thing is, Lazlo and Pascal had ugly sons while Vidcund has a very beautiful daughter! Gellar (son of Pascal) is also very mean while Zephra (daughter of Vidcund) is very nice! lol

Ummm, I think that's about it for now. So other people have the over-population problem too, huh? I've been trying to keep my numbers down by keeping sims away from telescopes and only allowing one to two kids a family, but it always winds up over-crowded in the end. Maybe I should get more fond of killing sims, lol.

Nervous and Lola Curious got married and now they have two kids, Lara and Filip. Lara started in a custom school runned by her aunt Chloe and Filip is still a toddler. They are living in the Specter house.

Ajay Loner is married to Kristen Loste-Loner and they have a little boy, Jesse.

Chloe Curious-Smith bought a community lot and started the Strangetown Elementary School. There's room for about 13 students. She also adopted one of the orphans at ST, and now lives with her adopted son in an apartment.

In the Smith family PT has passed away, Jenny is an elder, Johnny grew up and married Ophelia and Jill went to college last time I played. Johnny and Ophelia had twins, a boy Mattaniah and girl Bityah. They're still toddlers. The whole family lives in the makeovered Smith house.

Loki and Circe got twin boys, Paul and Saul. They look like their dad... Paul has blond hair and blue eyes, but Saul got Circe's brown eyes. Their personalities are as interesting as their parents. Paul is the only slobby sim in the family, that nearly drives others insane with burbing and farting. The boys are children and they go to Chloe's school. Loki is almost at the top of his career, as is Circe. They have about 10 days untill becoming elders.

I haven't done much with them yet, but I've played a few of the families.

The Singles household moved into an empty lot, and I renamed them all so that they had the right surnames (ie their respective parents' surnames!) - Kristen Locke, Erin Beaker and Chloe and Lola Curious. Other than that I haven't really done much with their household yet. Lola and Chloe are now friends, though, and I corrected the family relationships between them and their human half siblings, as Maxis didn't set them up right, so they had lightning bolts for each other! Not good.

Ajay Loner moved into a little premade house, remodelled it, and continued working in the Medicine career. He dated a couple of teenage townies. One of them got pregnant "accidentally" and moved in with him (I actually had them woohoo, then moved her in straight away and used a cheat to make her pregnant with his baby, as townies can't get pregnant). She (Renee Johnson) insisted on marrying him before the baby was born, but not long before their daughter Anisia was born he cheated on her with another teen townie. He is madly in love with the other teen townie and she has moved in with him, Renee and Anisia, but he's still married to Renee. I plan on using the hacked arch to have him and his new love get married without him divorcing Renee first. Anisia is now a toddler.

Pascal had his alien baby - a daughter called Annabel. Annabel is now a toddler. Vicund got abducted on cue and had twin daughters; I can't remember their names. Lazlo also got abducted and is expecting one baby. I moved them to a fairly big new house (built by me) just after Annabel had been born and Lazlo had been abducted. Pascal and Nervous Subject (renamed Nathan Muenda) are in love, so Nathan/Nervous moved in with the Curious brothers. He has adopted a child, but he/she hasn't been dropped off yet. I intend for him to end up marrying Bella Goth, moving out with her and his adopted child and having one or two children with her. I'll also use the simblender to set her as the mum of his adopted child.

Haven't played with the rest of them yet, but I'm just loading up the game now :-)

I've been playing Strangetown for several months now and a lot has happened. (I mostly play with aging off, though, so things move at a relatively slow pace.)

Since explaining everything would be a galloping herd of teal deer, here's the Cliff Notes version:

The Curious Brothers
Pascal had his alien son, named Sagan, who thrived despite his neatfreak father and Uncle Vidcund's horrified "Oh god babies cry at one end and stink at the other D:" reaction to babycare. Vidcund got abducted as well and gave birth to a daughter named Laika (and if I had had any idea of what Laika would look like when she was born, I wouldn't have named her after a canine cosmonaut). Lazlo remained a probefree zone, despite frequent trips to the telescope.

Sagan grew up and is now married to a lovely half-alien lady named Hedwig. They've got an evil little daughter named Ripley, who has low conversational interest in EVERYTHING and possibly plans to take over the world.

Laika also grew up and is currently attending La Fiesta Tech as a Physics major. She's a Knowledge sim, but would have made a better Pleasure sim with her low attention span and addiction to computer games. She's dating former downtownie teen gothling Ted (who has a different name in every game) whose Pleasure sim nature complements her own.

Pascal remained single for a long time, before falling head-over-heels for fellow abductee Bella Goth (I detailed their story more in the Bella Goth thread :D). They're now married and have tech-addicted twin children named Cobol and Fortran.

Vidcund switched to the Medical career track to get closer to Circe, but that never panned out. He's a better doctor than he ever was a scientist -- finding out a monkey can do one's job better is never a confidence-booster -- and married to a blue alien with a criminal past named Brittany. They have one son, named Sputnik.

Lazlo reconnected with his longtime crush Crystal Vu after her marriage to a sim named Elwood dissolved. They're somewhat mismatched, but very happy. He and Crystal had one child, a daughter named Verity, as well as Crystal's daughter Ruby from her first marriage. They also took in Elwood's alien daughter Uncanny after Elwood spontaneously combusted.

Smith
Johnny grew up and he and Ophelia eloped, choosing to have a private ceremony in a park instead of a big wedding. When asked why, Ophelia usually just mutters something about her aunt and weddings not being a good combination. They have a daughter named Juniper, who's just as much of a hypochondriac as her mother.

Jenny quit her job after a mistake at work caused her to lose skillpoints. She was tired of the late hours and it seemed like she was never going to advance. Pollination Tech #9 was delighted by the prospect of Jenny being home all the time and they soon had their third child, a daughter named Jane. Jane specializes in looking innocent.

Jill is now a teen and dating her friend Buck Grunt. She's been accepted at La Fiesta Tech and plans on majoring in either Biology and Physics, unsure of which would better further her plans of a career in deep sea welding. She's very close to her little sister and, along with Johnny, has taught her all she needs to know about sports and proper noogie delivery.

Subject
After his flirtations with Pascal were met only with rejection, Nervous handled his heartbreak in the only way he knew how: by being an incredible pest and annoyance to the entirity of Strangetown. Sims would wake up to find him roaming through their house and digging through their garbage...and, upon discovering that his host was awake, Nervous would proceed to pick a fight with the homeowner. Jenny, possessing both a busybody matchmaker nature and the opinion that Pascal was an idiot despite being booksmart, decided to take matters into her own hands and set her friend up.

Jenny's first attempt at a welcome wagon matchmaking was a nightmare -- she didn't know Elwood was straight! -- but she remained determined and continued to drag Nervous to every welcome wagon she could and watched in horror as the inevitable fight broke out. It wasn't until alien single mom Frieda moved into town that Jenny's machinations resulted in success and Nervous found first friendship, then love. He's now the father of six (five biological children -- Grimm, Grimhild, Test, Difficult, and Grimuara -- and stepson Joshua) and he and Frieda continue to be adorable and hilarious together, and their children are among my favorite sims. Nervous and Frieda's ACR-assisted neighborhood hottub scheme was genius.

Beaker
The Beakers were left in a dilemma after their lab rat ran off with an alien. Their experiements needed to continue, but they weren't about to experiment on each other. Adoption was out of the question -- the Social Worker had gotten wise -- so they agreed to start from scratch. Circe thought that meant Loki was going to be abducted and Loki thought that Circe should be the pregnant one. Luck fell on Loki's side and Circe became pregnant with twin sons Surt and Siggeir.

The Beakers never did experiment upon their sons -- and both deny that it's because they love them -- but they did decide that growing their own was the way to go. So, they fired up the nuclear-powered gene-splicer/toaster oven and, armed with some tissue samples taken from Circe's workplace, created a new lab rat named Guinea Pig. She's like a grilled cheese-obsessed family pet.

Siggeir is currently engaged to Grimhild, while Surt is dating Verity Curious. Their parents are all horrified by this.

Singles
Chloe's ultimate battle with Erin resulted in her declaring herself "done with this crap" and moving out. She embraced her feeder fetish -- one of her turn-ons is "fatness" -- by working in the Culinary career. She's now a celebrity chef whose calorie-rich food makes her dates' bellies (and environs further south) happy.

Lola, unlike her sister, liked Erin's company. A lot. So much so that they're now married and happily living under the combined last name of Beaker-Curious. Erin and Lola initially planned on adopting, but Erin's brother Loki -- who's a big softie despite those evil eyebrows and mad science -- surprised them by announcing that he had built a gene-splicing device. They're currently raising their biological daughter Vanja, who has her doting uncle completely wrapped around her little finger.

Kristen's devoted herself to the pursuit of sports superstardom and plans to move to Bluewater Village very soon. She's got a number of boyfriends in town, but doesn't want to spend the rest of her life in Strangetown.

Grunt
Ripp decided to patch things up between himself and the General, as well as with Tank. The constant verbal warfare just upset Buck too much and it really needed to stop. He's now dating his old friend Kendal Lawson, who accompanied him to La Fiesta Tech, and he's currently debating further commitment.

Tank got accepted at La Fiesta Tech and majored in History, just like his old man. He fell in love with a girl named Uncanny, who's also from a military family, and Buzz heartily approves of her despite her green skin and bug eyes.

Buck is now dating his friend Jill and plans on majoring in Drama. He's also taking up dog-grooming on the side and hopes that his choice of major will further his dreams. He's glad that his dad doesn't consider Jill a "real" half-alien.

Buzz's xenophobia resulted in frequent fights with the various colors of aliens in town, until he found someone who disliked aliens just as much as he did. That someone, an extraterrestrial general named Idun, was irate about being on an alien planet and especially annoyed by all the human/alien couples around town. They soon fell passionately in love and have a son named Howitzer.

Specter
Olive retired from her job as Professional Party Guest and from her marry-then-bury operation. She still continued the "bury" portion of it, discretely disposing of townsfolk that had proved troublesome.

She was happily to get back in contact with her son, though she was far less pleased by the woman he married. Her fights with Frieda were epic, until Olive realized that the war between her and her daughter-in-law restricted her access to her beloved granddaughter Grimhild. She continues to view her obnoxious slob of a granddaughter as perfect in every way.

Olive recently got engaged to her longtime love, who's currently staying in Strangetown on vacation. She's made friends with his coworkers -- twin hula zombies Beulah and Tallulah, who tagged along -- mainly because they help keep the house clean while she spends time with the Grim Reaper.

Loner
Ajay just moved in recently and spends his time hiding from the locals. So far, he's earned the wrath of Loki... but, considering Loki's usual approach to new people, that's hardly anything new.

PHEW. I think that's all of it.

Ajay just moved in recently and spends his time hiding from the locals. So far, he's earned the wrath of Loki... but, considering Loki's usual approach to new people, that's hardly anything new.

I always have such big plans for Ajay when he's in the Sim bin and then as soon as I put him on a lot I literally get bored about 2 seconds later. I don't know what it is about him. I've thought about moving him into an occupied lot, aging him down to teen and sending him off to college. He's one of the few pre-mades that I cannot stand right off the bat(and I usually love pre-mades)

After reminiscing in the "When you first started" thread about my experimental stint in Strangetown, I got to feeling antsy; like I owed it to Vidcund to go back and do it right this time. This despite the fact that I've got a number of things to look forward to about to happen in Drama Acres; I couldn't stop thinking about them. And yesterday I felt crappy and everything was taking longer than it should, so - I loaded Strangetown.

First, I sent Tank, Ophelia, and Johnny to La Fiesta Tech, where they're in a dorm with Stella and all the other family bin premades I could cram in.

Second, I went into the Curiouses's house, got Vidcund abducted, and gave the place a makeover, having vivid recollections of how the layout contributed to Vidcund's death the first time around. It now has three full baths, one of them in the corner between Vidcund's and Pascal's rooms for ease of toddler-juggling; all the boys have their own computers, but there's only one TV; they have a proper family dining area in the space where all the desks used to be; and instead of an impractically big central bathroom they now have a decent living area. I took out all the black tile, replacing it with linoleum in the baths and kitchen and the atomic-symbol carpet everywhere else, except that I kept the funky green linoleum from the central ex-bathroom space. It gives a certain definition to the living space. The bathrooms have tile walls, the kitchen-dining area has one of the diner walls from Sims1, the living area is a nice mango from Plasters of Paradise, Pascal's room is yellow with an orange stripe and Vidcund and Lazlo's rooms are also Sims1 wallpapers, the blue-white and purple-gold stripe. Also, all the interior doors are those psychedelic arches, "surf doors" as I always think of them. So it's much warmer and homier without losing the "what kinds of weirdos live here?" vibe. They have a chess game and a violin, and the plants from the hydroponics room are spread all over the house.

Pascal had a boy, so I was even able to name him Tycho, like I did in my experimental game. Nervous came over when the baby was born and hung out for awhile, making best friends with Pascal, and the boys were all at least friends with each other when I moved on at midnight. The boys tend to fight over who gets to feed Tycho. Pascal is the only one with low aspiration points, to which end he's studying parenting; but what he really wants are some new clothes. The day went so fast I never got around to sending him to a community lot, but next time I play this household I'll let him get a makeover. I also upgraded them so that they have appropriate degrees and six wants/two locks, but I forgot to check their LTWs.

Third, the Smiths. Jenny and PT9 went on a date immediately while Jill tried to sell lemonade; but Jenny's too close to elder to get a "try for baby" option, so I had her call the adoption service. She invited the boys over, but only Lazlo showed up. He and Jill played catch and watched TV together. Before I go in there next I will seed the adoption pool - for which purpose I have extracted some of my funkiest-looking Drama Acres characters in SimPE.

Fourth, the Grunts. This was rather sad. Without Tank there, Buzz wanted to do things with Buck, but Ripp was in his way. Ripp took his little brother to the community lots, hoping to pick up girls; but he only managed to meet one teen besides the cashiers. That one's a double-bolter, but curfew time came and she went off. When they got back, both boys were tired and went straight to bed. Ripp got up to go to his job as a gas station attendant. Buzz kept trying to read to Buck, then putting the book away; at one point he tucked him in. When Buck got up again Buzz managed to swing him around, and they played catch, but they tended to both roll wants to interact and refuse each other's interactions. Buzz also wrote in his diary a lot. Also - General Buzz's LTW is to Be a Rock God! This household could break your heart!

Fourth, Beaker. Circe got her promotion. Loki did his own work on skill points, for a change, since Nervous didn't have any to steal. I realized exactly how much scrambling is necessary to make sense of the backstory in this house, since Circe and Loki are much too young to have raised Nervous. Nervous wanted skill points, and, reasoning that if he did the work they'd just be sucked out of him anyway, he went after Loki with the skill-vacuum. Alas, no knowing how to use it (despite having seen it demonstrated over and over and over; he was also in a gold mood from being friends with Pascal, but that didn't help a lot), he only hurt himself; then Loki argued with and pranked him. Circe is furious with Nervous, and I think after he retreated to his basement, the Beakers were discussing the fact that now he's an adult, Nervous is getting too difficult to control. Meanwhile, Nervous did manage to gain a cooking point, exchanged e-mail with Pascal and Vidcund (with whom he almost made friends playing chess at their house), and chatted online for hours with Olive. I checked the LTWs in this house but forgot to haul out the batbox and make Loki's and Circe's more appropriate to their circumstances, because I wasn't positive I didn't want to let Loki quit his science job and Become a Prestidigitator; as a result, I still need to upgrade them to University grads.

Fifth, Specter. Olive was all alone eating a TV dinner. I fixed some of the worst problems with the layout, but did no major makeovering. She called Nervous and made friends with him. The ghosts did not come out. And then it was my bedtime; but now that she's friends with Nervous, she can invite him over and ask him to move in to Ophelia's old room. That might not be much better for him than the Beaker house, with all the ghosts; but she'll be running into the arms of Grim permanently soon, and he'll be rich and can move where ever he likes. I kind of like the idea of getting him together with Pascal, but their turn-ons don't work well together. Another tempting possibility is to move a clone of Kitty Hawkins, my Drama Acres baby machine, into a trailer and having them make impossibly ugly babies together.

I don't know whether I'll be getting back to it tonight, or will return to Drama Acres. I'm thinking of having the Newsons squat in an abandoned barracks building (giving Ripp some other teens to hang with, and Buck and Jill some other kids to be friends with), moving in the Singles (but I'll have to edit their relationships so they're properly related to the Curiouses first), and I've placed a trailer park and an apartment complex in case I decide to use any other family bin families. Or I could play La Fiesta Tech, or go straight back to the Curiouses. Or - it's time for Ruby Gorey and Edward Beare to grow up to teen over in Drama Acres, the Phoenix household have barely gotten started on renovating the House of Fallen Trees, Lourdes Newson is pregnant again, the Munnys have a whole weekend to play in, Pigeon Hawkins and Luz Ghote just had their babies, Trisha Traveller is feeling attraction for everybody except Trent...

So much game, so little housework done!

I played the Strangetown characters a bit, but never got all that into them. Olive proved to be the most interesting; I trapped a townie in that little death room Olive has, and Olive stayed awake for several DAYS thanks to the espresso machine, waiting for her True Love to come take the townie away. Said townie somehow survived being starved, sleep-deprived, shower-deprived, and ultimately set on fire. I do NOT know how she survived being set on fire. I was amazed, declared her to be the Iron Townie, and let her go. Only after letting her go did Olive finally let herself go to bed.

Aside from that, though, I overran Strangetown with cat people. Lots of cat people. Three pairs of cat people, one of which has NINE kittenkids (and four of those are half-alien kittenkids). The other two had five and four kittenkids. The locals have no idea what to make of them, except for Olive, who got attached to a kittenkid named Chii (who is now in college). XD

I've got one of the papa cats in my avatar, with his toddler daughter. :3 I haven't played them in a while, I really should play them again.

GRUNT FAMILY- Gen. Buzz Grunt married Anna Grunt a CAS I made she had a military job just like Grunt he came over to her house played with her daughter Lily and helped her study her homework. So I went to the Grunt household and looked at his wants it said talk to Anna flirt with Anna take Anna on a date. So I made them go on a dream date and married her she became pregnant with a girl Dana Grunt. Buzz was so excited to have girl instead of a boy than Anna gotten preggers again this time with twins girls. Rosalie Grunt and Annalie Grunt. While all this was happening Tank and Ripp was in College Buck was a teen Lily was a teen and the twins were toddlers. Anna got preggers again with twins again but boys this named Billy and Bobby Grunt.
BEAKER FAMILY- Circe and Loki Beaker are no longer together lets say Nervous Subject was her project for love Nervous got her preggers and the stupid husband didn't even realize it even when she had the baby right in front of him I named her Amelia looks just like Nervous than Circe and Loki had an agruement without me and I looked there relationship was in the negative and the break up gesture was so I hit and they broke up and she married Nervous.
CURIOUS/SINGLES FAMILY- Pascal Curious had an alien daughter and I named her Airidessa Lola Singles came over to visit and took care of the baby I mean believe or not she fed the baby changed the baby's diaper and played wit her before you know it Pascal moved to another house and wanted to
take Lola on a date which ended in bed and him giving lots of flowers and then they got married and had two more alien kids Lila And Rascal Curious.

Mortimer Goth is in Strange Town yeah I know weird huh well he was looking for Bella since he had a mysterious call reporting they saw his beloved Bella here he found her but the sad part is she don't remember anything or him especially since he's old so he some EOL that he drunk and now Bella has three lightning bolts for the man they get married and have 3 more kids Morty Isobella and Morbella Goth who knows maybe Cassandra and Alexander might show up.

The chronology in my Strangetown is a little bit offset, but at first Pascal had Edwina, then together with Nervous subject moved in with Olive and Ophelia, Pascal and Ophelia started a family, they had Homer, Pascal died, Edwina grew up and married General Grunt, Homer moved in with them, the General fell in love with his maid, Genesis Lam, she moved in with them, Edwina died, Genesis wanted to start a life of her own, and become Mayor, she moved out, the General died, Tank died, Genesis has since then founded a dynasty in my game and they are currently multiplying faster and faster...

Neither Buck nor Ripp are married and neither of them wants to live in the family's house but Ripp is living there at the momemt. He did not want to, but I moved him in with the Teleport shrub. They must not sell the house, I like it.

The last time I played the sims 2, Nervous had a baby with Loki (which made me cry :faceslap: ) named Hikari, who threw an axe at Loki because she was awesome. Pascal had 3 alien babies-Velonica, Yume, and Hikaru. Lazlo was married to Crystal and they had one really cute kid, but I don't remember her name :( Vindcund (sp?) was married to Circe and she was pregnant, but that was when I reinstalled because I was moving my games to a new computer. :faceslap: In my new strangetown, Pascal had an alien baby named Venus and is married to a pregnant nervous, lazlo broke up with crystal and is dating random townies right and left, Vindcund is forever alone :lol: Loki and Circe are expecting a kid, and I haven't gotten to the Smiths, the Grunts, and the other family (the one with all the gravestones).

The story so far.....

I only started playing Strangetown a week ago (only got the game six months ago!) and my first family played was the Specters. I had Ophelia scared half to death 4 times in one night by the ghosts and really creeped out by her aunt hanging around in the graveyard. The final straw came when she witnessed Death and his hula zombies turn up, and then found out she had a cousin during the reading of the will. She decided to sell up and move into town, setting up a nice little house and pretending to come from a normal family. Her relationship with Johnny ended after she found she just couldn't bear the whole supernatural thing anymore and had to cut all ties for her own sanity. She landed a job in the military after meeting General Buzz in a cafe (he behaves oddly like a father figure, they're best of friends after he gently rejected a couple of flirts and drops by her house whenever she's about to have a baby)

After settling into her job and maxing out her body skill, she met Nervous in the street and realised he was the cousin mentioned in the will. They started talking and over the next couple of days he came over every day, staying as long as he could. She then made a plan to rescue him from his adopted parents and give him a safe place to live. Ophelia lured Loki over by agreeing to have him come over with Nervous one night and beat the snot out of him. Nervous moved in that night and Loki spent the next week lurking around the mail box waiting for him to come out on his own.

All went well for a while, even though Ophelia was a neat Virgo, she never minded Nervous and his disgusting manners, he in turn never once annoyed her or even had a bad conversation. All of his wants revolved around making her happy, even up to cleaning up after himself and making her dinner when she got home at night. He met Ajay walking past one day and after a rocky start they became friends. Nervous introduced him to Ophelia, then had to sit back and watch his friend make a move on his cousin. He then spent the rest of the night stargazing, only to pass out on the roof top after he couldn't bear to watch the happy couple any longer.

Two nights later Loki caught up with him and started beating him up outside the front gate. While this was going on Ophelia came home early after an unexpected promotion and proceeded to kick Loki up and down the street. Nervous and Ophelia then sat on the couch to talk about moving to a different place, maybe Bluewater village where nobody knew them. Ophelia wanted to make Nervous feel better so she gave him a cuddle (yeah I know, but I only had the game a little while and forgot!) and they fell deeply in love straight away. No crush at all, just full on love. :lovestruc They decided that considering how weird their lives had been so far, being extra close cousins didn't really matter and married as soon as they moved out into a new home.

Nervous joined the military too after seeing how much fun it was to beat up Loki, and since then his only wants have had to do with his wife or children. He is a great father, spending a lot of time playing with the young ones, and has taken over almost all the cleaning too. They had twin girls first then a son and are thinking of another few. Both rolled wants for 10 children straight after the last child, before the endorphins wore off. :rofl:

That's it so far anyway. The story pretty much made itself, and as I haven't played any other families yet I don't really pay much attention to back stories. I certainly didn't expect cousins to get together though :blink:

One really odd thing happened - the twins are completely identical in appearance, really ugly, but identical. Same clothes, same hair, same face, same interests. They have different signs, but the only character difference is that one has 10 nice points, the other has none. One is constanty rolling wants to study and the other loses or buries her homework then goes off to play soccer. And both have skin tone 1 with brown eyes, nothing liketheir mother at all. I was hoping for those green eyes too.

So as you can see I read nothing about these characters before now or I'd be wondering why the Curious brothers were always calling :heyhey:

I've played a lot in Strangetown, but I've never really used the people that came with the game, except for Bella.

I made a really ugly couple in CAS, and they were married and had three kids (one set of twins) and it's unfortunate how ugly they all are! But then the man met Bella and he left his wife for her, and now they've been together forever. I let the original wife age into Elder, and her kids have all moved out now, and she lives alone and actually died, but I exited without saving and she's alive again.

So Bella married the guy and had a couple kids, and he moved his way up to the top of Politics, and of course, Bella got lonely with all his working, and so it's her job to cheat on him. He goes to work, she invites a guy over and gets pregnant. She has a lot of kids now with many different men. Her husband is very accepting of the babies, even though one or two have been born green & obviously not his! I won't let Bella & her husband age, though. Haven't explored the other characters, really.

I played Strangetown the first time i got sims 2 DD, so here how it goes:

Smith:
Johnny first grew up to adult, then Ophelia joined him in his adulthood and they got married in a large house. They then had a son at first, then (with the use of forcetwins cheat) had a boy and a girl (can remember any of their names), as time went by and Johnny got promoted i the athletic career while Ophelia also went up in the Law Enforcement career, thewy had a fourth child and it was girl, Robin.

Back at the original house, Jill grew up to teen, while Jenny to elder, nothing much happened there or more appropriately, nothing happened there anymore.

Specter:
Olive died before Ophelia married Johnny, so Ophelia only had her cousin to be her only family.

Subject:
Nervous got married to a waitress, Meredith, and had three kids, first a girl, then another, girl, then a boy. He worked in the Military, while his wife in the Science. Ofcourse, i had to remodel Olive's house for it to fir them. The eldest daughter fell in love with the youngest of the Grunts after transitioning to teen.

Beaker:
Loki and Crice first had twins (with force twins again), a boy and a girl. Then they had another child, a girl.

Curious:
Pascal gave birth to a girl , Venus, she fell in live with the eldest son of Johnny. I accidently got him married to his half sister, Lola whome he had a girl with. Because i secrewed here, i had to make up a story, so: After Lola found out that Pascal was her half brother, she ran away, only to find out that she was prego again with the second child. She ran away to a shopping district i made while her husband was at work and step daughter at school and hid herself there. She was so disgraced and didnt know what to do to extent that she neglected here baby daughter only for the social worker to come and take her.

Lazlo hot married to crystal and moved out, had twin boys (cheat used here or mod) then twin girls (again cheat used here or mod).

Vidcund go married to the fake Bella and due to "experiments he had on her secretly" she gave birth to Quad girls (mod used here), then had a girl, then a boy in the end. His daughter first opened up a salon, but didnt work out, so then they opened up a clothing store.

Grunt:
Tank married Erin Beaker after transitioning to Adult and had a son at first, then a daughter.

There was also a family i made, the Bailey's, who things were pretty slow with them, Stella Terrano was in love and engaged with the eldest son at La Fiesta Tech, eldest of Six children.

No one knows what happened next, because i got a new computer, the old one was at :turtle: speed and i got bored with the neighborhood, although i dont have a back-up somewhere, don't know if i still have it though.

This thread is very, very dead, which is a shame, because I absolutely love Strangetown. After many forced reinstallations of the game, I have also very often started over with the hood. Now I finally have great laptop that runs the game at topspeed, and I also play the hood "right", playing every household three days before switching to the next so everybody ages up equally. So, what has happened in my current version:

Specter: Olive, feeling her end approach, embraced the shadows and became a vampire to increase her life span. After she discovered how Loki and Circe had treated her son, she picked a fight with Loki, beat him up, and gave him a deadly neck bite. Unfortunately for Olive, Ophelia gathered enough courage after turning into an adult to lock all the doors of the house while Ophelia was stargazing htrough her telescope. She died by sunlight that morning, leaving the house free for Ophelia, who married Johnny. She gave birth to twins shortly after, a dark-skinned boy and an alien girl (incl. the eyes). After many happy days, only disturbed by the terribly annoying ghosts, tragedy struck Opehlia again. Shortly after the twins had aged to teens, Johnny got repeatedly startled by Olive's angry ghosts, peed himself, passed out, woke up, got frightened again by Olive, and died. Ophelia had a nervous breakdown and now follows the same path as her aunt, already killing her first townie by influencing her to repair the broken trash compactor so that she got electrocuted.

Beaker: although Loki's death hurt Circe, she quickly got over it due to her affair with Vidcund. After some time they got married and Vidcund and his alien daughter moved in. Eventually Circe's cold heart melted a bit and she wanted to have a baby. The boy has just aged to teen. After the birth of their child, Vidcund and Circe did not pay much attention to Vidcund's alien daughter anymore. It was their butler who further raised her and taught her how to do homework. Circe reached the top of her career shortly after becoming elder, fulfilling her lifetime want. Vidcund only has to max his charisma to fulfill his. He's an elder too.

Curious: Pascal gave birth to a daughter, Vidcund got abducted and also gave birth to a daughter a few days later. After Vidcund had moved out, Lazlo married Crystal Vu and she moved in. She got pregnant and gave birth to a boy. Pascal devoted much of his time to building robots. Unfortunately he reached the gold skill the day after he became an elder, so he aged with a green aspiration level. He has created a female servo, who loves him, but he refuses to fall in love with her so far (I have the no instant love hack), staying faithful to Nervous. Not long before he became an elder, Lazlo finally got abducted by aliens as well (I actually had to cheat for this to happen, but in two of my older play throughs he had gotten abducted legitimately, so I really wanted it to happen again). He has just given birth to an alien boy (finally a boy! All I got was girls).

Grunt: soooo much drama going on here. General Buzz found love again when he met Bella Goth. He soon married her, and like a real, viril man, made her pregnant on their wedding night. She gave birth to the General's first and only daughter. Unfortunately for the General, he had a spiteful son with a romance aspiration who had just grown up into adulthood (his grades were too low to be accepted into university, haha). Ripp (is that his name in the English version? I'm Dutch) had little difficulty seducing Bella, and soon their affair was running hot. They grew more and more bold, until they one day had woohoo while the General was outside in the garden. The window was open, so Buzz heard them and came rushing in, to find his son with his wife in HIS bed. Of course he hit Bella, then Rex, then he beat up Rex, then he broke off the relationship with Bella. Both Rip and Bella were forced to immediately leave the house. Despite all this, the General remained in a fairly good mood, and he aged into elderhood with a gold aspiration (he caught his wife the day before!).

Buck discovered he is gay, and dated a few boys until he found "the one". The General was not very pleased with this, so the relationship between him and Buck soured as much as the one with Rip. Eventually Buck went to college with his lover. He has just graduated and lives in an appartment with the same lover. They are very dull.

Tank went to college to study history before he would return to the army. During that time, a miracle happened: he fell in love with alien girl Stella Terrano. Tank was so in love that he proposed to her while still living in the dorm. The General was not amused when he was invited over and introduced to the wife-to-be of his eldest son, and the fragile, fresh friendship between father and son soon died because of neglectance. Despite the reaction of his father, Tank married Stella he had graduated (she was older than him and had graduated shortly before). For a while they lived rather happily in their appartment. Stella got pregnant, and Tank was looking forward to being a father while he quickly climbed the military career ladder. Stella gave birth to a son. With her alien skin and eyes. Realizing that he would never repair the relationship with his father with a son like this, Tank broke down. He argued a lot with Stella, until one day he quietly snuck out of the house while his wife and toddler boy were sleeping. He moved back in with his father, who grudginly let him in. When Stella came by the house a few days later to ask for clarification, Tank broke off the relationship and sent her away, to both their distress. Determined to find a suitable wife, Tank contacted the gypsy matchmaker and paid her for a blind date. The first was a fail, because the matchmaker set him up with an elderly woman. Tank sent her away and paid for another date. This time he was being hooked up with a beautiful townie, and Tank married her (Buzz actually hooked up with the elderly woman, who is a university coach). Tank is now a general, just like his father, reaching permanent platinum, and his normal wife has just given birth to a normal daughter. Tank still longs for Stella though, and the want to fall in love with her again is locked. Perhaps after his father has passed away....

Goth/Grunt: Ripp and Bella have moved in together and are happily woohoo-ing each other and others. Bella has turned into an evil witch.

Loner: for a long time Ajay lived alone in his appartment, working had to climb the ladder of the adventurer career. He dated Erin (the blond Singles girl? I hope I have the name right) Beaker for a while before they got married and she moved in with him. After many tries, Erin finally got pregnant. She gave birth to such a beautiful boy that they had to get another child. Surprise, twins (really a surprise for me, LOL)! They were forced to move out of their appartment due to lack of space. Raising the toddler twins was very hard and caused Ajay to get promoted after he aged into elderhood, and thus with a green aspiration level. Erin aged with gold. Their eldest son is now a teen, the twins are children. Erin proved to be kind of a... sl*t though, with casual romance mod. She shamelessly whoohooed with a guy she had brought home for work before and had invited over to gain the best friends status. >< Fortunately Ajay has never found out.

Singles: Chloe never became friends with Erin, so she was happy when Erin got married and moved out. Her sister Lola became very, very close with Kristen and eventually married her and adopted a girl. Due to Lola's special alien genes, she later impregnated herself with Kristen's DNA and gave birth to a boy with Kristen's skin and Lola's eyes (looks pretty weird, haha). Chloe became adventurous with Ripp and "casually" tried for baby while I wasn't paying attention. Of course she got pregnant. >< she gave birth to a girl with alien skin but normal eyes. After a lot of promotions from Kristen and Lola, the family moved to the house next to the Grunt's. Chloe, not very fond of the responsibility that came with having a baby, quietly moved out and back into their old house. She made a lot of money with a chance card in the slacker career, moved to a big villa, hired a butler, aged to elder and demanded pension. He daughter, now a child, calls her often. Sometimes she hangs up after a while.

Smith: after a happy life, Pollunation Tech#9 passed away. Jenny was heartbroken, and she aged up the day after her husband died with a red aspiration level (I changed her age with SimPE becauseshe was far too old compared to her brothers)! Her daughter Jill grew up fine and almost immediately married her teenage love. She got pregnant and gave birth to a girl with alien eyes only a few hours after poor Jenny died with only a green aspiration.

Subject: after Pascal had had an alien baby, Nervous decided this was THE way to get a child on his own. He used Loki's new telescope, and sure enough, within a few days he got abducted (no cheat! xD). After he had given birth to his alien daughter (with normal eyes, strangely enough), Nervous moved out of the house, fearing what Circe might do to this new test subject. He moved to the edge of town to a tiny house, which he never cleaned (his mood didn't even suffer from it). His daughter, Twitchy, has grown up to a teenager and her personality is almost as awful as Nervous'. Nervous still has no job and lives of the starting money the generous government gives every sim. In spring he wanted to flirt with Pascal, which he did, and started a relationship. Pascal was not eager to move things further, however, and Nervous aged up as an "unenjoined (?) elder" (I had locked that fear, because I had never seen it before. I'm mean).

Thanks! :D I felt pretty guilty about Tank. He cried a lot after he had dumped Stella, and has often rolled wants to flirt with her, talk with her, etc. I guess she really is the one for him. Even with alienism as his turn off (mod that turns custom hair into alien), he had three lightning bolts with her!

I'm not sure what to do with Nervous from now on. Now that his daughter is a teenager, there's even less to do for him, because I don't let him have a job. Letting him greet walk by's and wait for a negative interaction to pop up, leading to a chain reacting of negative interactions and eventually a fight is currently the most fun.

I first tried Strangetown with Ajay Loner. Eventually he did okay marrying one of the long black haired Goth types who had an absolute fortune. They and their family are now living in a very large but rather ugly house of my own design but they seem reasonably happy.

My really freaky experience was with the Beakers and Nervous Subject and only just happened. Until now none of my characters had ever died other than a much loved family cat of old age. Whilst Nervous Subject has clearly been abused by the Beakers I never got any desire targets to repeat it so he never was again. Both Circe and Loki regularly became furious with Nervous for reasons that weren't apparent. With Nervous having no career target I put him on one of his first three choices of career, namely business, in which he made good progress (partially with the aid of the Beakers' laboratory). Circe and Loki got in with their careers too although Circe was prospering more than Loki. Interestingly "my" Circe showed regular signs of attraction towards Nervous. I got Circe pregnant by Loki producing their daughter Freya (another of the posters went for the same Norse nomenclature). Despite Circe in particular being a rather careless parent with Nervous's help Freya has prospered and is now an A+ student (maxima or nearing it on the first three personality rows, nothing on the bottom two rows). I moved Nervous out as soon as household finances appeared large enough to support the split (NOW I know that's not necessary).

Anyway freed of the Beakers' malign influences Nervous prospered. However romance was a nightmare. Initially he couldn't "Scope room" otherwise I would have gone for whomever he showed a preference for. Initially he wouldn't speak to most other Sims although his confidence and his success increased as he rose through the business ranks and gained more charisma. Eventually I shelled out 2K at a time when that was a lot of money to the Gypsy woman for a date. I chose female mainly because of Nervous's family aspirations. He ended up with a woman with a lesser version of his spiky hair and an eastern European surname.

The date went only moderately well. No lightning bolts at all. Nervous also had an incredibly intense relationship with his mother. If she was around Nervous could rack up thousands of aspiration points on a never ending cycle of appreciate, entertain, tickle. However at some point after a couple of chaste dates Nervous got hetrosexual desire and two lightning bolts with his young friend. He also had a weird sexual attraction to a lady from his mother's generation (Wendy something ?).

This is where it gets scary. It started so well. With two lightning strikes and a 100/100 relationship Nervous got engaged to his friend. Nervous by this time was the top of the business track with his own helicopter collecting him for work each morning. A good business deal also enriched the family by 35k. With this money I got the couple married and in their first post nuptial Woo Hoo Nervous got his young wife pregnant.

His wife had a life time aspiration of reaching the top of the Scientist scale but I couldn't get her a job there for a long time - never came up in the paper (and I didn't have the spare money for a computer). So she rose a long way up the Adventurer career - enough to get the giant gold head which doesn't seem to do much good. Anyway the day after the marriage Nervous's young wife returned tired and hungry. I sent her to bed (most pressing need) with the intention that food would be the first priority when she woke. Instead she awoke in hunger pains during the night. I sent her downstairs to make breakfast - but she DIED making it. Nervous pleaded with Death who offered him a 50/50 to save her - which Nervous lost.

Now on other postings I've read that Nervous is in fact the son of Death and even the possibility that he had a (twin ?) brother who died. Did Death want a grandchild too ?

I'm too superstitious myself to be trading in souls for Nervous' s wife's return so he'll have to pick up and start over.

Now this is what is freaking me out - did the programmers include a routine to ensure that tragedy befell any "Nervous" who became too successful ? Or more scarily did they not ? The fact that a vanilla computer programme produced this result is very worrying.

No; many people have given Nervous a successful life with lots of kids. You just got unlucky, and a learning experience. In base game it was distressingly easy to starve a pregnant sim to death; it got much harder with later EPs and patches. Not only did death take longer, but you got more ways to take care of the motive drops quickly. Many of us with the EPs that allow it, for instance, stock the refrigerator with leftovers so she can get a meal without anyone needing to take the time to cook it. Even in base game, a snack or an instant meal might have staved off death long enough for Nervous to fix her something. Also, getting a hungry sim up to eat when the energy bar is at half, and then putting her straight back to bed, can be effective.

Nervous is the son of the Grim Reaper in backstory, but the Grim Reaper is not a proper character. He's part of the objects package - which is why you should never, ever use cheats to add him to your family; it breaks the installation - and doesn't have a relationship to Nervous in any way the mechanics recognize. Your interpretation has good story uses, though, so as long as you remember that it's your storytelling making sense of the semi-random results of the interaction of the game mechanics and your player decisions, go to town with it!

In fairness to me I've had somewhere between half a dozen and a dozen previous pregnancies in Sims 2 and whilst I've had a number of passings out I've never had a fatality until now. Interesting that it should happen to Nervous of all people.

Olive Spectre proved to be a bit of a dead end - literally. I took over the household, got Ophelia to leave for college, and played on for about four days at which point Olive died to be removed by Death and some spectral hula dancers. If she had anything to do with any of the bodies in the graveyard there was no time to find out. Is there a storyline to work through and if so how to do it ? The "special" characters' aspirations are broadly similar to "conventional" characters. There were so many ghosts that Olive got to see one before she died - apparently that is more than just "see" - it requires one to be actively "haunted" by the ghost. I'm not sure whether her death was brought on prematurely by a failure to retire promptly, out of game aging for her various encounters with her son Nervous, or whether she was haunted to death. Future Sim games should have the facility where dogs and cats left alone in a property automatically go into the Adoption Agency books rather than being left alone in the property.

Two minorly interesting postscripts. One was that Olive and Circe had a strong mutual attraction that would have been consumated had Olive not been feeling a little tired, poor dear. Nervous ended up 9k better off (small for the value of the property) - I'm thinking of just having him adopt children if that will allow his life time aspiration to be completed. I'll leave further adult relationships to his aspiration needs. He doesn't need to actively seek new friends being top of his employment tree.

When I played Strangetown long ago, Nervous married a beautiful sim on top of Show Business career and they had their own house and a kid who looked just like Nervous.

General Buzz married another playable sim in Culinary career, they had two girls in addition to his sons, but I can't remember what happened to them.

Ripp escaped from new home and lived in slums, then he became a Rock Star and moved to another subhood far away.

In recent playthrough Strangetown was befallen with Apocalypse, but I decided to save all those previous destinies. Unfortunately, it didn't work out well when Nervous had his brains eaten and became a zombie (zombie apocalypse hack). Now he can't have a kid if I don't cheat. Ripp's fate was repeated, and he officially became the only sim to move away from Apocalypse later in life. The Curious brothers, the Beakers, the Smiths, and Olive also became zombies.

As an update I followed through on (my ?) plan to have Nervous adopt - which he did three days in succession - all children (as opposed to the far more intensive care needed babies or toddlers). Whilst a little crowded the family are doing well although so far I've ignored Nervous' desire to bring a third cat into the household. Also as I said I would I never pushed romance. However after about three days all of Nervous' aspirations were romance orientated. Looking for fresh meat at the Crypt or Rodney's was not practical with three kids in tow so I invited over the person closest to Nervous with a double lightning attraction to visit. Circe. And one thing led to another. Circe didn't seem very keen on going all the way, whilst Nervous skipped straight to wanting to become engaged but in the end - Woo Hoo. Judging by the lack of a red profile circle on Loki's picture he hasn't found that one out yet. Bearing in mind that Loki regularly turned furious towards Nervous for no apparent reason when they were in the same house Nervous may be playing dangerously.

I play only with the Grunts and the Smiths. All the rest are pulled to the family bin.

I begin with Olive Specter's house, moving all the tombs to the cemetary, send Ophelia to college, and pull the old "black widow" to the family bin (can't kill her, lol).

The Curous Brothers are ugly, so I pull them too, and so the Beakers.

The interesting event is, that Jill, after I marry her to some sim, always have an alien baby, although she has a human look.

I always resurrect Lyla Grunt, but change ger aspiration to a knowledge one, to prevent further cheatings. The most happy one is Buck, who gets his mother back.
If you resurrect lyla, you will have a chance to have corruption. :alarm: (Reference: Sims Wikia)

Planning on making this a TRULY alien place, I made a large family with about 6 custom (bazaar)colors. They just do not associate with "humans", except to kill them. I can't STAND the horrible Curious "house" (was that Maxis' idea of an odd science lab?). And the Specter house was just as stupid; I kept the outside, but rebuild inside. After many months of play I made another family - of frogs. THEY try to breed with anyone! Haven't played that hood in quite a while..."attention deficit".

I've played a lot of Strangetown ever since I acquired my Sims 2 game and most of its EPs. > u< I don't even know where to start when it comes to the households, but I'll try!

Beaker: I played along with Nervous being the experiment and pretty much burned whatever bridges he was forming with Circe and Loki. But the Beakers mostly spent their days skilling and spying on unsuspecting neighbors (Vidcund, lol). I could see how no one really likes Loki, but I didn't want to kill any of the playables off. :C I would feel bad. Loki really does love his wife to death though, and I think it's cute that he's always wanting to chat and flirt with his wife. They had their first-born, whom I named Soleil [Circe's name reminds me of Cirque de Soleil], and completely neglected Nervous in favor of her except for the frequent fights that Nervous would engage in (and win, lol). Thanks to ACR and the Triplets/Quads mods, Loki and Circe decided they wanted to have more kids and, to my dismay, had four boys: Thor, Tyr, Aesir, and Vali [adding onto Loki and other Norse mythology names].

Nervous's relationship with Pascal was a little different; they were autonomously buddy-buddy and everything, but getting Pascal to accept flirts was a whole nother story. Nervous slowly but surely got Pascal to become accustomed to holding hands and being affectionate, but making out was a big NO-NO. Oh, but woo-hoo was all for game. l: Go figure. When I was wasn't paying attention one night, I heard the baby chime and saw Nervous and Pascal get out of bed. I was like, "HEY, WHO TOLD YOU TO GET PREGGO?" And ended up having to move Nervous out and get him joined to Pascal before the kids were born [which didn't happen, Nervous had the kids while Pascal was at work, and it wasn't that big of a deal to suspend the pregnancy].

Curious: To be honest, I haven't played around much with the Curious household, save for Pascal. I discovered that he cleans up very nicely, and he isn't bad-looking at all. He had his kids, two little alien ass-babies named Ariel and Callista [going for astronomy theme here] who aren't so hideous. They're still children, but Ariel (or Callista? I don't remember) has huge-ass eyes for her tiny little face.

Oh.. at one point I was surfing the net while Simming.. and found out that while Vidcund and Pascal were at work, Lazlo had set the kitchen on fire; the room was already half-way burned before I realized what was going on, but it was already too late. Lazlo was already on fire, so I just kind watched him crumple into a heap of ash, and Grimmy go and take his soul away. The twins got taken away by the social worker, and the brothers come home to find their brother dead. Well. I got the kids back and revived Lazlo, of course, but.. just lol. YOU HAD ONE JOB, LAZLO. ONE JOB. At some point I'll improve his relationship with Crystal Vu. Vidcund, on the other hand, may remain a lonely nerd. We'll see.

Grunts: The Grunts [and Smiths] are most definitely my favorite families to play because I love the drama that's within and around them. I changed Ripp's aspiration to Family , but he still had the shitty relationships with Tank and General Buzz. It was so funny watching Tank beat up or shove Ripp, and then Ripp go off and wail. I noticed something interesting between the Grunts minus Ripp: they all seemed to love dem fiiiine black gurlz. So why not! I had originally planned on Tank running with Ophelia anyway [more on that later], but thanks to ACR, his first kiss was stolen by Melody Tinker. O: K, that's cool. I can work with that. It was so difficult trying to find General Buzz a nice girl, but he ended up with a townie named Kendal, married her, and had one more kid, a girl named Delta.

Tank is pretty much his father's son, being in the military and all that. He has this tendency to pick (and be picked on) by grumpy Sims, so he has quite a few enemies, including Ripp, Johnny, and [surprise!] Melody. Buck grew up having great relationships with all of the members in his family. He spent his childhood days autonomously skilling and talking to Pascal, which led me to believe he was going to be the nerdy kid of the family. Boy, was I wrong. > _> Ripp, I had great plans for Ripp. I dressed him up all punk and tatted for most of his teenage and college life, but his face was so hard to make look intimidating. No amount of eyeliner or different hair styles could take away the "nice guy" face he has [especially when he smiles, d'awww]. So in college, Ripp was scruffy and tatted. BUT ALL HE WANTED WAS FRIENDSHIPS ~

Smiths: I didn't play around much with PT#9 and Jenny, but Jenny did want to graduate 3 children as her LTW, so I made her pop out a pair of twin half-breeds, Jaime and Jessica. My focus was more on Johnny, and a little on Jill since I was planning on sending both of them to college. Because I wanted to hook up Johnny and Ripp, I tried to get their relationship to improve as much as possible. But, like Pascal, Johnny didn't seem to want to like or fall in love with Ripp AT ALL. Damn that go-steady bullshit. l:< Ripp was quick to fall for Johnny of course, which made it a little more dramatic in my eyes. [I]Poor Ripp has the hugest crush on Johnny Smith, but he knows Johnny and Ophelia are dating. Nevermind that Johnny won't even respond to any of his advances! Oh, woe is Ripp. I always loved how pointed Johnny's features were, too. It's something he really grows into as an adult. I grew to love Jill as well, but I can't seem to find her the right man. I thought it was going to be Buck; they were best friends during childhood, and right when I sent them to college, they gave each other their first kiss. Awww. Then I thought it was going to be Tank. Now I just don't know.

Spector: Besides sending Ophelia to college, I really didn't do much with the Specotr household. I turned Olive into a vampire, which was fun for awhile, but she kept wanting to go outside and smell the roses and catch herself on fire. At one point after Ophelia had moved back in, I just let her die. l: Then I figured I could give Olive her LTW, cure her of vampirism, and then let her die of old age and see who the earnings go to (since she has great relationships with both Nervous and Ophelia). I don't know what it was, maybe the game itself of Pescado's romance mod, but Tank and Ophelia never hit it off great during their teenage years. Even with the Love Potion, they refused to makeout or anything. Bummer. But I figured, "Hey I'll just wait until college, maybe something will happen then."

University Life!
This is where the magic really happened. Pursuing their majors was only a small part of getting the kids through college, but my real plan was for them to develop relationships and try to figure out what was going to happen once they graduated. Well, ACR decided it wanted to seize the opportunity and screw up any plans I had, because...

Tank Grunt [now Nigmos]: I was all for Tank being the douche bag jock and one day becoming a General just like his great ol' daddy. But during uni, I sometimes questioned Tank and his motives.. and his sexuality. Kept rolling the drama major want, and feared being in political science. He, of course, kept attacking Johnny and Ripp, but every single fight Tank has fought, he's lost, even with full body points. While I wasn't looking, he rebelled against the family tradition and developed a relationship with Jaime.. but he also developed relationships with Melody [first], Jaime, and eventually Ophelia, and a couple other dormies on the side. After he graduated, Tank moved back in the Grunts and eventually moved in with Ophelia's family, whom he now has quads with: Charlie, India, Juliet, and Romeo [military alphabet and Shakespearean names, which was very conveniently combined].

Buck Grunt: If there was one Sim whom I had plans for that totally went in the opposite direction, it's this kid. I still gave him the nerdy, possibly homosexual look, and sure - he had his first kiss with his best friend. But after that, it was "jump into every lady's panties I could possibly find, and all of my big brother's loves ~". He had romances with Jill, Melody, and even got to woo Ophelia, and had so many romances with the other dormies. My girls caught Buck too, a few times, but he always managed to bring back their relationships to full meter and just do everything all over again. He was best friends with Johnny during uni, but I later found out that he must have pissed Johnny off really bad by cheating on his little sister, 'cause their relationship was in the negatives and without any bad memories of fighting each other. In the end, I decided that Buck was going to marry Melody Tinker, and they now live with General Buzz and have one baby boy, Lance.

Jill Smith: LOL this poor girl. The more I played her during uni, the more I noticed she was like the female version of Ripp: ALL SHE WANTED WAS TO HAVE FRIENDS AND BE NICE TO EVERYONE ~ Her heart got played with a lot by Buck, which is a shame because I thought it was so cute when they were together. It was hard deciding if Jill should end up with Buck or not - I thought she deserved better, especially after how much of a manwhore Buck turned out to be. l: She got played by Tank too halfway through college. She fell in love with him, but Tank's relationship status with was to remain best friends. But he continuously kept flirting and being affectionate with her. I think she developed relationships with a couple of the other dormies too, but one ended up bisexual and she found out he was cheating on her with the dormie that Ophelia was crushing on, and hated him. e__e After graduating, Jill was sent back to the Smith household, and I have yet to figure out what to do with her life. On a side note, as children when Buck brought her home from school, Jill made best friends with General Buzz. After everyone graduated, and I played the Grunts, one of General Buzz's wants was to flirt with Jill. LOL gross.

Ophelia Nigmos: How I got her relationship to end with Johnny was kind of on accident. I wasn't aware that Ophelia was in the same room as he and Ripp, and sent Johnny to go and make moves on him.. which pissed her off, lol. Then Ophelia severed any remaining ties she had left with Johnny by flirting with one of the dormies, so all through college the two became and remained enemies. She was also really mad at Ripp, but Ripp's relationship with her remained high and they naturally became best friends again, which I thought was sweet. I can't remember who fell in love with who first, but I think Tank fell in love at some point during college, and Ophelia remained in crush mode. She was too head over heels in love with his nerdslut little brother. :U After college, Ophelia moved back in with Olive and got married to Tank. PLOT TWIST she has seven kids, four of which are Tank's. The other three? They're Buck's. l: Almost everyone got pregnant during college, but thankfully the pregnancy process didn't start until after they returned home. I completely thought they were Tank's until I was browsing through everyone's family tree, and noticed that the triplets were linked to Ophelia, but not Tank's. l: Their names are Foxtrot, Gertrude, and Hamlet.

Johnny Smith and Ripp Grunt[now Grunt-Smith]: I'm just going to stick these two together. Their relationship started off kind of sad. Johnny was always together with Ophelia in the beginning of uni, so Ripp only got to be affection with Johnny when they were alone in one of the rooms, or while Ophelia was in class. Surprisingly, Ripp never showed affection in front of Ophelia [smart boy]. After the two broke up, however, it was a little easier to get Johnny to fall in love [I may have used a Love Potion in favor of Ripp lol :B]. But once they were together, the two were pretty much inseparable. Johnny and Ripp were also the only Sims during uni that didn't have lovers on the side like everyone else did. Even though Ripp had three bolts with the llama mascot and being previously a Romance Sim, ACR was kind to me, and he never cheated on Johnny. He still had the bad memory of being engaged and joined though, lol. Ripp grew some serious balls, too. It used to be Tank always initiating fights, but Ripp started to fight back and show Tank he wasn't some pushover anymore. Johnny's appearance was more clean cut and classy after teenager and into adulthood; I used his bio of wanting to be a "knight on a white horse.. or at least a nice car" and figured he'd grow up aspiring to be something great, look great, and drive something snazzy. :B When he graduated, Ripp cleaned up a lot, opting for casual wear that wasn't trashy but not too formal or classy. He's more scruffy though to make him look more like a man and less baby-faced. He also decided he wanted nothing more to do with Grunt family and moved into a place of his own, joined with Johnny [who had moved back in with the Smiths], and together they have three children, Lisbeth, Phililp, and Timothy [no real theme for the children, but I had my girlfriend help me with names. Lisbeth from Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Phillip from I Love You, Phillip Morris, and I don't remember where Timothy came from].

This is my main neighborhood.. I'm about at least 10 generations in, since I firsted loaded up the Grunts. *now added with screenshots*

General Buzz and Vidcund Curious stopped being enemies and became friends. Buzz hit the gym and started bulking up fast, whilst Vidcund continued his way up in the Science career before he now became known as Dr. Vidcund. After marriage (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_f5a3b249.jpg) , Buzz and Vidcund later adopted a son, Amin and had (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_f5a59b7b.jpg) a boy of their own named Vincent who became teenagers (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_b5c08852.jpg) by the time Buck was nearing young adulthood. They retired (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_35d0136b_d5e4c94d.jpg) happily together after their boys grew up.

He shaved off all his hair, and removed the face paint. Tank continued working part-time in the Military before he became an overacheiver and went off to La Fiesta Tech (majoring in poly-sci, I think.. it's been a while). He had enough scholarship money left to rent a seperate house with his townie best friend Dustin. Ripp was dating two townie girls at the same time, and somehow managed to never get caught. Still an expert Casanova, he found his match in an exotic woman named Michelle (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_f5caf3bc.jpg) in the dorms. She was a Romance sim too, so they would share girlfriends in this strangely-committed relationship. Ripp kept a 4.0 Gpa all the way through, graduating top in his class. Originally, Ripp was going to live on his own right away, but a phone call from Tank had his plans change.

Things got a little more complicated though when Tank's college friend Dustin moved in with his own son after divorcing from his partner for domestic violence.. Yeah, Tank and Dustin eventually got together, having two twin girls (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_35c09367_15e290b3.jpg) of their own (Missy and Joy Jr.).. Ripp moved out after he finished potty training them.

They married, with Tank serving as Ripp's best man. Michelle and Ripp continued their open-relationship, but kept it hidden by the time they had a son (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_75dfd942.jpg) named Val. They wanted to set a less complicated example (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_76072eb5.jpg) for him, and thanks to Ripp helping raise his neices this was a snap to him.

Lastly Buck.. First things first, he was still the most loved kid out of the bunch in the Grunt family. His expressive nature progressed as he liked the outfits Jenny wore. Before he grew up however, he trained with Dr. Vidcund to get himself into shape and lose the baby fat. When he became a teenager (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_f5a5cc85.jpg) , Buck took his expressiveness to the next level, wearing pumps, and girl clothes before having people refer to him as 'ReBucka'. He befriended (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_0d917b96_75a74fdc.jpg) a MTF transgendered townie (born Randy, became Radeesha), becoming BFFs well into their college years. He (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_55a73cc9_75c6f63c.jpg) also went to Sim State University, but was popular (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_35d0136b_f5e4be1d.jpg) in the bars singing and modeling. He eventually found love (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_55a73cc9_55c84014.jpg) , with a townie named Donte. ReBucka eventually retired from the show business sometime after college cutting his long hair short and letting people refer to him as Buck (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb95/vampdeleon/sims%202/snapshot_35d0136b_15e4c8aa.jpg) again. He later had a son named Damien.. and the Grunt family has grown from that ever since.

..I think I kept up the positive reputation of Strangetown well. :p
