It has been a few days since I noticed this but... Since I installed FT, two Sims can have table interactions while sitting beside each other (not only across the table like it was before). Also, FT seemed to have improved other interactions as well in the same way, making them more adaptable - that game that came with the EP, where they kick a small ball to each other, is surprisingly tolerant of the Sims' positions (and also the number of Sims interacting).

Haven't they always been allowed to do the 'chair' interactions when sitting next to eachother? My sims have been doing that for a long time...

And the kicky bag ball game.. didn't that come with UNI?

Well here's one today: I was marrying my two alien lesbian sims Aisha Hutchins and Katie Summers, but after they got married and the party ended...Or was supposed to. The Limo never came, and the party kept going like once it ended another timer would start to the wedding party.

I thought I encountered a glitch with Katie so I killed her...but the endless loop came. And came, and came....

Until I finally notice in Meadow Thayer's memories...She was still engaged to Lainey Das...

*smacks head* yep that'd right, I forgot to marry Meadow and Lainey who I was going to marry at the same time as Katie and Aisha, only had one arch and completely forgotten the two were meant to get married. SO i got them married and the party timer finally ended! Although the limo never came, probably because of it.

I tried resurrecting Katie but Lainey was pregnant with twins, (Aisha had two children from previous relationships), And Aisha was pregnant with Katie's baby, so I moved Meadow out, resurrected Katie, used a hack to move Meadow back in...

What did I discover? Well I discovered that if you have more then 1 engaged couple on the lot then the party loop keeps going until they get married. I never knew this on the cout I never forgot to marry the two or three sets of couple until this time.

i discovered that when a sim gets out the pool they sometimes slap there head trying to un-pop their ears. might be a feature with bon voyage/free time. i'd never seen that action until i installed them.

I don't have either of those and one of my new sims does it all the time. A few others do it occasionally. Maybe Seasons?

One of my sims had a dream date with this townie, then a playable sim called him that I heared you and X had a great time - would you like to meet up. First time that ever happened to me. Now this guy's screenshot is light blue and just like furiosity its starting to fade off, he instantly got a 30/20 relationship + friendship icon. Their status is accointance. Maybe the friendship icon will go off when the light blue has faded completely. don't know yet.

FlyingKiwi
7th Apr 2008, 11:19 AM
Yeah the friendship disappears when the blue fades out, so it's a good idea to build the relationship up to a normal friend level while it lasts. (sorry if I just spoiled the surprise for you :D)

Well... I did install Uni and FT in the same week.... :P But I'm pretty sure they never did the "chair interactions" if not seating in front of each other, across the table. If it was there before, maybe I had some conflicting hack. Anyway, FT still adds loads of new interactions. :eviltongu

Yes, a feature first time introduced in, let's say Uni will come with newer EPs so even if you don't have Uni (but have any other newer EP) you'll get that feature.

LegolianM

I like that they do that with the features. I've wanted the ability to walk to community lots for ages but I haven't wanted to buy any of the other expansions just to get one thing.

It's funny though that now my Sims can have turn ons for werewolves, Servos, and Plantsims when I have no ability to create them. XD

If one sim is sleeping and another sim keeps coming in their room to pester them, the sleeping sim will sometimes sit up and wave at the irritating sim to go away, then flop back down in bed. It's hilarious!

I was testing the new auto cash register and auto restock signs from simlogical so I was using Maxis sims that I don't care about. Is my game being even weirder than usual, or does Denise Jaquet always have a recurring fear of catching her dead husband cheating?

Along with heatstroke off-lots, I had a house where two of the sims were practically having heat stroke as they slept, inside. One of them was sleeping in their underwear even!
She got up, whined and nearly passed out before I sent her back to bed.

And, not sure when this started but I love it, in the neighborhood screen, when I'm selecting a house the family members will be shown in the order they joined the household instead of by age or alphabetically by name.
One household had a child before the two were married so it goes Mom, son, Dad, three younger daughters.

It's not just if they share a room. Brandi Broke once did this to Dustin in my game when he came in to cheer about his grades. Can't you imagine? "MOM! I GOT AN A I GOT AN A!" "Shut up Dustin, I'm trying to sleep!"

I also had one of my sims do it when she was on an outing. You know how if you have a sim go to sleep during an outing, the other sim will hover over their bed? Well, my sim Billy apparantly didn't like it, so she shooed away the guy she was on an outing with.

She had wants to play with anybody, dine out with him, go to college, and ask him on a date. (This -is- a date, you silly people!)

So I ended the date and let him go fishing. When he got home, he got a call from her asking him on another date. The problem was that she was insisting on going to my custom Downtown and I didn't have any community lots there yet. So I quickly exited and plopped in an empty lot for them to go to.

I discovered that if you go to a community lot with nothing there, everybody hangs out on the sidewalk in front of it. Mrs. Crumplebottom being unable to get to the married couple who were making out on the sidewalk because there was a game of kicky-bag going on in between her and the couple was priceless. My irresponsible, partying mama Angela got her daughter taken by the social worker, because she was too busy having fun on her date to feed poor Lyla. I then discovered that elders can adopt too, so Angela's parents adopted their granddaughter. The disturbing thing is that Lyla has no memories whatsoever, and on the family tree, she now thinks her mother is her sister and her grandparents are her parents! I don't know if I should go into SimPE and change it or not, because legally her grandparents *are* her parents now, but it's weird to have her think of her mother as her sister.

Yesterday a professor that I don't think either of my sims had met before called them up to go to a community lot. So they get to the lot and professor chick (who was actually a good looking sim) starts trying to put the moves on both of my sims. But mostly she went after the girl, who has two nice points at most. Cue multiple rejections for things like "Be Kissed Romantically" and "Be Made Out With". I did not know townie types could do that XD

"Ask if you need a ride home" will end the date on a positive note right then. "Ask back to your place" continues the date at your house.

I finally get to play with FreeTime installed and I just can't do it on my larger houses.
I can with smaller ones though. So I'll get my fix like that.

ETA: Even if watching a TV not updated for FreeTime, a sim can still watch a movie. Just have them watch TV as normal, then Movie will show up as a bulls-eye option.
Also, teens who own a car will go to school in the car and ignore the bus.

Her (Not nice at all) husband got infuriated at Matthew trying to flirt with his wife right in front of him, and developed a feud which culminated in "kidnapping" him (moving him in late one night) and then killing him.

Ah, that's good to know. My tinkering students can continue to be a menace to dorm property then.

Today I discovered that when my Sims visit the local grocery store they can buy a full fridge worth of food no matter how much food is actually in the fridge at home. A BV/FreeTime glitch perhaps? Ordering food for delivery still allows them to only order what they need.

I also learned that the female Slob has a job as a convenience store clerk. One of my sims just ended up with more chemistry with the gypsy than with the date she brought him. (Full price, too!) Apparently grey hair counts as black? Or maybe it still counts as the color it used to be, and the gypsy's was black before she got senile? I've noticed that Sims are espresso junkies. If there is an espresso bar on a community lot, Sims will largely congregate around it no matter how many other appealing amenities are available. The only thing that seems remotely able to compete are restaurants. And Sims aren't just happy for a single espresso either. They'll plunk down 20 simoleans for an espresso, sit down and drink it, and then immediately queue up to get another one.

I've also noticed that even the most generous, friendly Sims are extremely selfish when it comes to priorities. I once watched as a female Sim dropped dead during pregnancy (she got caught in a need sleep/need food loop). Her husband came in and pleaded with Grimmy and saved her from death. Right at that moment his carpool shows up and he twirls into his work clothes, does that thing outgoing Sims do when they point at someone and say what sounds like "Buddy buddy," and then trotted off to work. I would have thought calling in a sickie would have been a more appropriate response.

I just discovered that if you have a toddler play with the doll house, if they put one of the dolls in their mouth and you go tell them to do something else, the little head in the command menu will actually have the doll in its mouth.

I wish i would have gotten a picture but I didn't realize it till it had already happened. In my legacy family there are lots of children. I have three boys sharing a room. Two of them got up at around the same time and were just standing there. Then the one boy drug his feet along on the carpet and shocked his brother!!! I've never seen that interaction before. I'm assuming it came with freetime. I've looked and there doesn't seem to be a way to make them do it... I could be wrong though

Nope, it didn't come with FT--it's something that's been around since rugs were introduced to TS2 (I think, it started happening when I got Seasons, but that was my first EP). It is hysterical (http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll297/hupsoonheng/Picture29-3.jpg), though. If both your kids are on a carpet, you'll get an interaction added to the menu--Prank.../Static Shock, and voila!

Originally it only seemed to work with the Maxis rugs but that may have been fixed by now. Might be worth trying out if you can't get the option to come up though :D It's in a sub-menu so have a hunt around (sorry I can't remember which one but would hazard a guess at 'Play')

1306- Thatr is weird, in a NH there's a little girl who's parents were killed by a evil woman, and hnow she lives with them and the zombies of her parents, she was doing her diary when I think the evil woman who looks scary walks in, it was kinda like in a horror movie or something lol.

Anway I discovered after testing:
That if a Sim dies with owned business but no friends. The business will be given to a complete (And I think playable) stranger, because Priya Tressville got the business despite never meeting Lara Alone. (Her husband owns another business so maybe that's why).

I also learned when a sim quits her job at a business owned lot, all employees will lose thier jobs and NPCs will take over. Also that if you live on a home business but then die, any sims to move in will move into a c losed business.

Sorry to have caused confusion. I've altered my post now to mention that it was the piano that my Sim was playing at the time.

-One of Chopin's works
-Moonlight Sonata
-One that I think is a minuet

Console works if the consoler is in love with or a family member of the consolee. And someone with a nice level of 0 can manage it. Which startled me, but he has 3 lightning bolts with her, so even as a knowledge sim he was rolling wants to woohoo with her. In the Fall!

Then he rolled a want to drink the guy who had shoved her, see his ghost, etc.

I guess this is his idea of being romantic?

Some townies/NPCs are way too needy. There's a bartender NPC who seems to be working at about half the bars in my current game, and he keeps calling every one of my Sims that he's had contact with. They keep hanging up on him but he keeps calling :wtf2:.

I guess he's just really jonesing for tips or he's been living in the basement of his parents' house for so long that he's become socially maladjusted.

Whatever the reason, I see a cowplant in his future.

I have a bartender just like that who keeps calling every single Sim she's ever met. After a while I noticed she was calling my male Sims more often than my female ones (especially one in particular); the next time I saw her I made her selectable and noticed she was Family, so now I just tell myself she's desperate for a husband.

I was annoyed with it at first, but seeing as the one guy she's the most fond of has Romance as a secondary, she might get lucky some day. XD

I've noticed some of my own Sims being desperately clingy like that too; one of my girls, Ash, is constantly calling everyone she's met, which is really against her personality. She can't possibly be lonely, she has a boyfriend AND a son living with her.

Some Sims REALLY like pets. My Sim, Theo Fink, was bordering on aspiration failure and he had a huge want (5,000pts) to get a pet, so I had him spend the last of the family simoleans adopting a kitten. He doesn't ever have anything to do with the thing (he didn't even greet the cop when she dropped it off) and won't interact with it unless told to. However, his wife Cleo won't stop playing with it. Any time she goes idle for more than a couple of seconds she heads straight to the kitten and begins playing with it. Awwww.

Also, there is an evil mascot who, when he visits the uni dorms, always uses the women's bathroom to shower. I don't know if this is a glitch or just another thing he does to annoy everyone.

Older siblings can, as well; in any of my sim families where the parents are too busy for the kids or are just the sort of bad parents that want nothing to do with them, I usually designate a teenager to play the parental role, and that teen will sit with the toddler when the kid's playing with his/her toys. The children who get the chance cards have high enthusiasm for music & dance.

That a sim can actually get to know Unsavory Charleston. I had Glade and his boyfriend Tucker on a date downtown. Unsavory Charleston was on the lot as well, and Glade got an option to introduce Unsavory to Tucker. So I did that - and they shook hands. When Glade and Tucker moved in togeather - Tucker has Unsavory now in his friend panel - and he knows him 7%.
