Discover that my latest obsession with custom content has made my computer run extremely slow, I say its the game's fault because now that everthing is uninstalled my computer is well again.

Also discover that I cannot use patch number 5 for season expansion, I try to patch Seasons with patch number 5 from thesims.com and the patch tells me I have to uninstall and reinstall season expansion, I did, and it got stuck half way in the process of re-installing, I check My Document folder, EA game folder is gone, wipe out! I therefore have to uninstall the rest of the game, everything, and reinstall and start afresh, but Where the bleep is my The Sims2 DVD! :(

Sim teens seem to care deeply about how they look....just like how you would expect real teens to do in real life.

I learned that just because your Sim is sneezing and sniffling from several Sim hours of being filmed outside during a stormy night, according to InSim's Health Adjustor, the Sim may not be sick.

I moved a new sim into a new starter house. He didn't like the flowerbed (flames on top of the thought bubble and everything) so he carefully and systematically over-watered each of the beds and killed off the flowers. He even took the time to tidy up afterwards. I laughed until I stopped.

Also, I didn't know that the maids mopped up water on the lawn. That was wierd...very thorough, but wierd.

Oh, and the only other sim in that neighborhood that I created always shows up when the other sim is leaving for work. I wanted to get her pregnant by him (the working sim) but they never seem to connect so they can be introduced!!! Annoying.

That other sims can autonomously call your sim to ask them to go on a date downtown. I knew that they would sometimes call to ask if your sim wanted to go downtown to hang out (usually from contacts) but I didn't know that my sim's boyfriend could call and ask her to go on a date. Cute.

This was a while ago, but I forgot to add it then and it just occured to me now.

I learned that pressing .(or>) and shift simultaneously while placing a floor tile (when you still have the Maxis camera in thanks to a recent install) is a bad idea. The camera starts rotating around and round and I actually got nauseous just watching it. I couldn't get it to stop either (change direction yes, stop - nopes). I had to exit the house without saving.

So play the game with him. Once you get friendly enough you can invite him to your house where there will be fewer distractions.

One of my toddlers a long time ago (this was before I had any EPs!) constantly wanted to buy shrubs, flowers... Even trees. Pretty strange for a toddler...

I saw that if sims get fired, even when they didn't go to work, they can get mad. Mine stopped playing SSX and had about a twenty minute rant to herself, sighing and jabbaring in simlish, and finally kicking the ground angrily. The Ottomas twins are buggy on anyone's game. They don't have a father coded in, so the game will randomly pull something to be their father-- in some instances, a random dog! There's an entire thread about that in the Seasons subforum, actually.

When one Servo flirts with another Servo, they get the option to "Tune Up" the other. I thought it was funny, and slightly disturbing, when the female Servo took out a screwdriver, plunged it into the male Servo's back, and he started twitching his leg like a dog. It was pretty awesome, though.

Angela Pleasant suddenly decided she doesn't know her sister. She disappeared from the relationships section and when I made her do something with her sister she suddenly got +1000 aspiration point for "meeting a new sim". Oh and that icon which tells that you're relatives was also gone and she could have started flirting with her sister. Lilith instead still knew her sister and that they were relatives.
Oh well... I deleted the family soon after that because they only annoyed me. But now that I think, I maybe should have spared them and made them lovers XD.

I've never had a ghost before that had drowned (gasp, I know) AND I CANT STAND THAT THEY LEAVE PUDDLES EVERYWHERE!

ps. why are my photo's crappy?! :@

It looks like you don't have the graphics options set very high. If you go into the game options and check the settings, you may be able to set them higher. (This can slow down your game performance, though. Sometimes it's better to play at a lower level, then bump everything up as high as you can when you want a picture.) You can also use a screen capture program or just hit "print screen" and then window out to something like Paint to paste the image to get a bigger picture which you can then resize with more detail. (Although you will often end up with a red border you need to remove later.)

They do regular clean outs. I think any upload stays for about 2 weeks or a month, something like that and then if it hasn't reached a rating of 3.5 or more it gets removed.

Not at my schools. Less than a 2.0 average and you go on probation, do it again (consecutive semesters), you get dismissed, just like the game. Though I occasionally feel that it should count as passing.

I thought it might be something like that except searches bring up lots far older, and 2 of the 5 lots had 4-star ratings (the others were at 3 the last time I'd looked). At least I know that some 40 people are (hopefully) enjoying my community centre and another 24 are enjoying my Stuff Mart.

And hey, I still have those lots in my Robtopia neighborhood.

12 paintings later, I decided to keep it barricaded in the attic so people would stop commenting on it. At least while he was alive... I'm curious to see if a ghost objects to having his paintings insulted.

Nina and Dina are part alien? I'll have to check that out next time I'm playing.

My Legacy founder had a job in the Law Enforcement-career, so after a while she got the fingerprint scanner. Because she needed cleaning skillpoints to get a promotion, I had her scan the house. Every once in a while she'd get a thought-bubble with a alien in it? But she never had any aliens over (unfortunally, because I was trying to get her husband abducted)... :einstein

I can’t really explain this well but here goes…

One road in SimCity with no tile in it = One road that can fit a lot from Marysue’s lots…the smallest one.

One road in SimCity with one tile = One road that can fit a 3x3 Lot

One road in SimCity with four tiles = One road that can fit a 5x5 Lot

One road in SimCity with nine tiles = One road that can fit a 7x7 Lot…which doesn’t exist as far as I know…

This was also discussed on the Dinnerbell (at simlogical.com) a while ago. The formula was 1 Sim City square = 2 Sims 2 squares, plus 1. So if you want to place rectangles with lots that sit next to each other without a road between them, that is how to tell what size you need.

Whether they eat the candy or not is tied to cooking skill -- sims with full cooking skill never eat the candy (as then the only point of them using it is to make money). (And if they are at the top of the culinary career then they definitely have full cooking skill!)

A message to all ye simmers, do NOT try to kill a baby with the insimenator. or with any other hack or mod out there. Because your game will face serious complications after that, and might explode into bag of poo.
i discovered this today. i didnt want the baby (cuz i was sure it would turn out ugly like the father anyway, so i tried to use the insimenator to kill the baby. I got interaction "call Neighbour" with all characters in the game available in the phone book including the grim reaper and bird, penguin etc. so i called the grim reaper. nothing happened. the nanny started to get stuck in the house. and all sorts of horrible things followed. i exited to the hood without saving.

+ Teens can have food fights with adults. I don't know why this surprised me. I guess I just always thought it was an adult-to-adult kind of "flirt" thing.
+ When it rains, there is a cool animation on the roof to make it look like the rain is cascading down.
+ Sims can have a fear of someone else becoming stinky (he wasn't a neat sim, he wasn't turned off by stink, and was only at like 50 relationship or something with the maid and yet was very afraid she would becoming stinky... weird.)
+ Flying a kite in a storm will likely get you struck by lightening. Duh. Should known.

Everything else worked, I could pause, select things, use the camera, buy mode... but my sims just stood frozen in whatever they had been doing. I exited to the neighbourhood, came back and they were still like that. I'm going to try loading the game again later and see if that makes any difference... grr.

Although I did discover Sims can fear the photobooth... I had a pleasure Sim on a date who didn't want to go in the photobooth or have her picture taken with her date... weird.

Today I learned that when your house exceeds 8 people/pets the Aspiration rewards and the Career rewards become un-selectable. One of my pets gave birth to puppies, I hadnt even realize there were 9 in the house until I went to go get a reward and realized the option was not there. I gave a pet to a friend and the reward options came back. I thought that was weird.

The other thing I realized (duh) was that I could make use of all those small box houses that are downtown by adding basements to them, twice the space instantly.

One last thing that's kind of funny. A family that was recently robbed, the two twin toddlers have 'see the ghost of Russ' as a want. Russ was the name of the robber, so basically they want him dead. LoL I've seen adults have this want too.

That happens with shy sims. (I know the feeling myself. My mom used to joke that half the pictures of me when I was a kid included somebody's arm hauling me back into the picture.)

I have had my sims wanting to see the ghost of the burglar too. Including the two rather nice sims. I figured that they weren't going to talk their (0 nice points) mom out of luring the guy over and shooting him, then smashing the urn. SO they have their ghost now....

This has happened to me too. Also, I get this terrible glitch EVERY TIME I PLAY where the sims and the bubbles that popup in the upper right corner (So and so's grades are improving! for example) all get stuck going back and forth from the last action to the current action (back and forth, over and over.) I had it once where my husband and wife sims just kept handing the baby back and forth to each other. Leaving the neighborhood didn't help and all the other houses were glitchy as well.

Turns out that I had forgotten that I had put the basic game on an external hard drive and loaded the base game again and then the EPs onto my main drive (on a mac) and so it was getting confused over which basic game it was supposed to access. I had to delete everything and start over again fresh.

They aren't as frequent in Sims2 as they were in sims 1. I almost think the reason I got this one was only because I had gone back to slow time while everybody was asleep to see if the second moon would drift any closer to the first one so I could get a sky shot of the two moons. (And to see if the progression through the sky was logical or random.) So of course I had to spend 3 sim hours dealing with the burglar and the aftermath.

But the moons do drift through the sky, because the second moon had set by the time I got back to it.
