It's nothing really special angel, I just try to have small clumps of the same plants together, but not filling the entire garden with the exact type of plant. Having HP's & co's plastic shrubbery helps with the maintenence :) I guess it helps that there was already a slope on the back of the lot. There's more elaborate pictures in the Houses thread, this one was just to pimp out the outdoor living area.

I'm not usually one for floral prints on anything, but I like that sitting room :)

I built and furnished my first house (well not my first but the first one I'm satisfied with) recently, and for some reason I love these rooms. They are actually much nicer than these too small, bad quality pictures let on.

migamoo -- Oh, your pictures are always so beautiful. This room looks really nice, I especially love the flower, and curtains! I love curtains.
CiaoAlora -- Nice and fresh. I love white kitchens, and I really like how it's sort of got a bar or something... Anyway, I really like it.
linuslover30 -- As always your room looks amazing. Very pretty but not too cluttered.
fway -- Love that kitchen! It's a bit of a blend between country and modern. It looks very warm.

Maeve I love the openness of your upstairs room. I'd plop some furniture up there and make it a playroom (by changing the colors just a tinge), or a nice little office for a fashion designer. However, I do like the use of color in the second room as well.

Thanks Lullibi - I really tried to find something that Didn't match the counters, those chairs work well. I personally love taking low angle shots of rooms because it shows a lot more of what's going on.

Rabidangel - Me too, I think that the Kitchenette would be one of the best rooms for this house. The Gutierrez's never use the dining room even when directed to by Inge's table/counter mod. I love that "art" room. Grafitti and all. And the architect's desk is my favorite object from FreeTime, well, because you can do anything to it.

Valneanne, it's good to know that decorating is growing on you. I think you didn't know you had it in ya to see how beautiful those rooms came out! I love the first three pictures. Babolat -- I love colourful rooms. I love the painted wall in the bedroom, for some reason I can never pull off a room with only one wall painted. I also love your music room, it has a very majestic feel.

Ooh Cin! You are right about that room being fit for a knowledge Sim! Look at all those books. And the violin. Yeap this would definitely be pleasing for a knowledge Sim. It has all of the right things. Like the Mac. I say thats a really good computer for a knowledge Sim who likes to make music too. I also love how it's well organized, a knowledge Sim should be organized.

You've done a wonderful job. I think it's a lovely home.

I basically still really have a problem using the 'extra slot packages' (guess I am clueless or something) so I can't jam as much stuff in my rooms as other people.

Cinamun--fabulous rooms...excellent, really..especially the musical instruments. I also like the walls..it's almost like she lives in some basement apartment. (with the concrete materials).

I seem to be drawn to unique clutter in threads. Yours is very unique.

You're welcome Sunkiss, I can tell they're both nature Sims. One understands by the countryish theme in that picture, as well as the colors shown, and the way everything is natural wood. I certainly think this will make a good house for Stripe and his wife of course. You have a good sense of decoration.

I love building and decorating homes, but I've never posted anything because of my icky, outdated graphics card. But I really enjoyed this room. So I'm going to risk it. Cinamun, what a wonderful room you posted! I love the clutter. Sometimes people just overdo clutter, and you look at the pictures and you think, "I would go crazy in that room", but this bedroom's very realistically cluttered. Rather impressive, such talent for determining the right amount of clutter. Bravo. (none of this was sarcastic, by the way)

Thanks TingTong I tried to keep it maxis, but there were some things that weren't maxis that needed to help work with the maxis items; well, it's only a couple of objects, but it's not that bad if you ask me. :lol: and I love using the greenhouse roofs as skylights, too. And your living-room is amazing!

Edit: Babolat, those are celing tiles by JGWhiteus over @ MTS2. Really helpful for building.

As usual, I'm blown away by all the creativity in this thread. Ting Tong, I still haven't recovered over seeing that beautiful livingroom! The fish tank wall and open ceiling, floored me.

J3, I think your starter livingroom is very comfortable-looking, and subtly elegant. I wouldn't want to make a mess in there. *smiles*

My Sims have preferences, which include their favorite colors. Makes them more personal to me.

I've just started playing the Michels' new house where I wanted to fuse their favorite colors together. Honey Michels loves pink, while Nick loves red.

I'm not a fan of these 2 colors mixed together, but I think it works for them and I only use it in some of their rooms, so far...

Here's their master bedroom and kitchen. The cool thing was being able to blend the furniture they had from previous apartments they lived in, before they married. Plus, it saves money. *smiles*

I love this thread, so I'm venturing from lurking to posting again. This is my favorite bedroom that I've done; I'm not sure the picture convey the feeling of the room well, but I thought I'd post them anyway. It belongs to Amanda and Peter Rice, who are the now-elderly parents of two (their oldest is early in his teen stage, and their youngest is about halfway through his toddler stage). Amanda loves the little reading area, which is why the picture has her in it. In fact, she gave birth to the youngest in that very reading nook.
